Woke up to a phone in recovery... help!

So... my alarm went off this morning. I hit snooze. I woke up again an hour or so later because it didn't go off again, only to see my phone in recovery mode.

I restarted and never got past the amazon screen... then right back into recovery. Cleared cache - recovery mode. Factory reset - recovery mode. Help!

Installed the Android SDK and got adb set up, but it won't recognize my device.

What is the best course of action?
