Unable to update unrooted phone to latest version

I have never rooted or flashed a ROM on to this phone. When I try to update (OTA) from G900AUCU4BOF2 to G900AUCU4BOF3 (fixing stagefright), it does not update. I can download the update fully and my phone restarts but when it is installing the update fails at 28%. I have wiped my cache and booted into safe mode but it still fails.

Is there away to a make this phone on into the T mobile version?

If even of its running the OC1 5.01?

well for the 1st time ever i now have a real AT&T acct i got me my 1st samsung note 5 i got it on next 12 moths my credit credit score was high enough too where did not have too put down any kind of deposit all so a year or two a go ever time i tryed too get a acct with AT&T they needed a 0 deposit so am happy that my credit score was high too a point too where i can get the samsung note 5 on next 12 moths and i love this phone this is my 1st real high end phone and love it i been dealing with go phones i had a window phone 640 for a few weeks and i hated that thing so am vary happy with the samsung note 5 all so i traded in my window phone 640 and got 0 in Bill credit so not olny that i got my new phone but i all so have 0 in bill credit so my 1st Bill is all ready take in care of pluse i would still have some credit for the next bill so am one happy guy today !!


be for this i had a verizon LG G4 and boy did that phone sucked big time it had vary slow wifi and i this did not really like the phone all that march the samsung not 5 how ever rocks

the samsung note 5 had a lot of cool little toys form the camera app that i needed pluse no other phone out there had live broadcast wish i will be uesing a lot this fall and winter with are winter storms and with any lighting storms at night i can now show this off live in youtube pluse the note 5 had a lot of other net little stuff that i will find uesd full

Tried to return to stock, soft bricked my phone.

I tried a method which made me flash a stock RUU, it came up with certification errors.

When I connect my phone to my Mac, "/.adb devices" returns a blank, but "/.fastboot devices" works.

What can I do to get my device back to stock?

*URGENT* Did I hard-brick my phone? Or are there any hope?

Hello guys,

yesterday i tried to install a rom, i accidentally formatted everything (including internal storage) and when i tried to reboot; it didn't. I just tried to install a stock rom with SM-G925F BUT not corresponding country of mine (on kies3 mine has AFG in paranthesis .wtf. ?), then i downloaded firmware from sammobile which has name;

G925FXXU2BOGB_G925FOJV2BOG8_G925FXXU2BOGE_HOME.tar

I kept flashing this rom and twrp recovery to reach into adb mode to flash any rom to just save my ass from losing efs/imei even if i did. But it doesnt.

To tell the problem in a way more understandable way;

The device cant boot itself.
I cant reach it from mtp or adb.
I can only get in download mode. whatever i do flash doesnt work.
it also says that cant mount efs (this part is im scared of.)

EDIT: I dont have any backup of efs.
The phone was 5.1.1 also tried to downgrade.
also tried flashing g925f pit file

Lost phone

Hello,

The screen on my S6 broke so I reported it lost and got a new one with the warranty, my question is if I buy the digitizer and replace it, will it work even though it was reported lost? I have it rooted with a custom rom.

Sending my rooted and xposed phone back to verizon.

What would be the best way to reset this thing to be ready to send back? Would I need to KDZ it or just use the superuser root removal process? Thanks in advance.

Why I can't install the system updates (lollipop) on my phone?

I was rooting the phone and I installed the SuperSU. After this process when I click to install the updates, the phone reboot but enter in the recovery move and I am not able to install the updates. Everytime that reboot is entering in the Team Win Recovery Project. If I try to install the zip updates from there it is not possible.

Could you help me?

Omg I love this phone!!!

I just wanted to make a post and express how much I love this phone! I can't believe Samsung really came through and completely hit it out of the park! TouchWiz is much lighter and doesn't hiccup and stutter like it did in the past. If anybody is worried about the lack of SD card and removable battery don't be. This phone is fantastic!

After updating to 5.1.1, phone is unresponsive from time to time

I recently updated to 5.1.1 and I have nothing but problems. The phone is rooted. From time to time, I would have to do a soft reset (volume down + power) to turn the phone back on.

I have tried resetting the phone and clearing the cache but the problem persists. Any suggestions would be great!

hi all - so i have 2 questions, I got given a highscreen thor phone, and really struggling to find roms for it, for now it seems miui has one which i will try.

Is it possible to use a cmw backup as my Base Rom (see this article: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1908008) or do i need to try find a stock rom somewhere?

ALso - I tried flashing a carbon rom to this phone and the 1st pic that loads is terrible! it shows 6 copies of the same terrible pic- i tried downloading a app to fix but it says phone not supported!

Any ideas? i want to try port a cwm to this and compare the miui.. im a bit of a CM fan - but the stock rom is just so plain..

No Operating system on phone?

Long story short, I installed Xposed and my device went into a boot loop or just stuck at the T Mobile splash screen.

I factory reset and format data to try and fix the problem.

Now I don't have an operating system on my phone.

Where can I get the system for my phone? I have a SM-910T

I was on COD6 and was reading about COG2 being abailable now?

What are the differences?

Silent phone after disconnect?

Not sure if I am overcomplicating this, but here we go:

At work I've got my phone on vibrate, so I can still get notifications on the watch, but if the watch disconnects for whatever reason (mostly if I am too far away), the notification sound won't go off. In an ideal world I wouldn't want the phone to vibrate either. Is there any setting combination I can use, which let's me get notifications on the watch and keeps the phone silent when the watch disconnects?

Poor battery life on a rooted phone

Hi guys, I just bought a z3 from a friend, and I have some battery problem

On 5.1.1, my battery only last for a day, which is under my expectation for the z3. Note that I only use my phone when necessary, location, mobile data, nfc, bluetooth, wifi are always off when I don't need them. I lend my mother's z3v and its battery life was excellent, I compared the 2 phone by watching a youtube clip for 10 minutes, with only wifi on, the z3v only lost 1% battery while my z3 lost 3-4% each time. But according to cnet (sorry I can't post links yet), the z3's battery have a slight edge over the z3v. Why is this happening?

Anyway, I downgrade my z3 to kitkat, rooted it, install setcpu, greenify, wakelocks detector, I also use disable service. Like before, all the phone functions are off when I don't need them, all unnecessary apps are deleted. However, my phone battery is still nowhere near the non-rooted z3v. I have a feeling that the battery drain faster below 85%, when it reached 15%, it loses 1% every 30 seconds. Moreover, the z3v only loses 1% over night (sometimes not at all) in airplane mode, while my z3 loses about 3-4%.

What do you guys think? Is this a problem with the phone's battery? Can my friend damaged the battery in his six months of using?

remove cm 12 nightly from phone

i recently flashed the cm 12 nightly rom to my lg g3 rooted att phone..
i can no longer go into recovery mode and when i turn off the phone,i need to remove the battery and re insert it in order for the phone to start again..
i would like to remove this rom and replace it cloudy rom,but i can't get the phone into recovery mode...message says i need root access...help!! i am new at this

Install JB, don't change your dpi. It's honestly not that different from kitkat, maybe get a few xposed modules? JB is easier to mod than kk anyways. My phone went from Kinda sluggish on kk to triple xxxxxxl speed of light on JB thanks have a good fun time
