Bluetooth remote acts differently after upgrading from 4.4.4 to 5.1.1

hi,
i bought this remote to use when I'm driving and listing to music from my phone.
i use it mainly to move to the next track.
lately I'm using only Jango radio for music.
when i was on 4.4.4 the remote worked perfectly, but after upgrading to 5.1.1 something weird happened:
on any player app the remote works fine but on the Jango app, only the volume buttons work, not the forward button.

how can i fix this?
