Rooting V20h-234-15

Hi all,

I tried to last as long as I could before rooting but the lag is driving me nuts (and I need the root for Tasker).

I have had a look around and there is a huge array of different methods. I have rooted before, GS3 and others, and the process was simple and complete. Could someone please point me to a known method for rooting my G3, V20h-234-15 UK Vodafone.

I am looking at rooting with custom recovery so as to be able to install a custom stock rom.

Also I have read about the patches that affect the temp so as to reduce the amount of throttling involved, I am wondering whether or not this is needed after installing a custom stock rom?

Also will downgrading the resolution to 1080 make a difference to the performance/lag, I don't really see me needing the higher resolution the G3 has but if it makes no difference then I will leave it stock.
