Screen Warranty Claim?

I have a question about whether a (relatively) minor issue on my device can allow me to get a warranty claim. So I discovered that using my device outdoors with bright sunlight, and with the device set at auto-brightness, there are a lot of strange lines on my screen. It looks like that part of the screen cannot go up to the brightness the rest of the screen is at, because a screen capture does not show the problem and it does not occur at lower brightness values either. I'll try and post a picture if it occurs again, it basically looks like strangely contorted line that is slightly less bright than the rest of the screen.

The problem is definitely noticable when outdoors on sunny days, and somewhat distracting.

So my question is, would I have the phone replaced or serviced due to this issue? Thanks in advance!
