Verizon early upgrade?

Hi. I'm currently on a 2 year contract that ends next November but I really want to switch to the Edge plan. I've called sales a few times and all of them are playing hardball. I would think they'd want more customers to switch to their Edge program.

Just curious if I might have more luck with their retentions department or if anyone else has had luck trying something different.
