I have a CM11 running on the old JB bootloader. I have done some searching around, and have not found anything pretty in regards to getting the bootloader upgrade.
A few things:
1. Any hint on how to accomplish this?
2. Any reason I shouldn't?
And now... for something completely different...
Here's the thing: No disrespect to anyone, but my phone runs like crap. Occasionally I get force closes from GAPPs, the phone is slow as heck, and compared to my dad's (who has a stock one), this thing is a pig. If updates are happening, I can't even turn on my phone (killed auto-updates)!
I have given up on using the phone as any kind of "Android usable toy," and just need it to do the following things:
1. Tether (ul) - either wifi or usb
2. Navigate ("quickly" - before I am 20 minutes late to an appointment?)
3. Email
4. And some voice searching.
5. Plus = Netflix - not mandatory
6. Use as phone - most important
7. Text
Pretty much the bare minimums one would expect. I'd like to do this with minimal lag (even on wake, and after running a ROM for days). I have been considering the Motorola Turbo? Not sure if that's a great upgrade... If I could get this one functioning halfway decent, I wouldn't care.
Maybe there is a way to go back to stock and just root it?
