Chromecast

Can't use chromecast on cm12.1. Anyone know of a workaround?

Cannot save to m3u8 anymore (Chromecast involved)

Hello everybody,

I'm using a spanish website (mitele.es) to watch TV and recently i've sent my tablet to the repair center and since then I'm not able to save streams to m3u8. I was using the downloaded m3u8 files to watch my programs on my TV via Chromecast.
Here is what I was doing before :

1- Open Chrome and launch the website on my tablet (Lenovo S6000F - Android 4.2.2) and then launch the video
2- Hold my finger for 1 second on the video and then select : "save the video" ( then a m3u8 file is downloaded on my Tablet)
3- Open the file and select "VegaCast" app to send the file to my Chromecast.

These steps helped me to watch my programs on my TV using Chromecast, but now when I hold my finger on the video the system displays the "Cut/Paste" banner.

Any idea why it's not working anymore. Any idea for a workaround to save streams to m3u8 files ?

Google Chromecast or nexus player?

Looking to get one or the other but unsure if i want to pay the difference. What I would be using it for would be too stream movies from Google play, vudu, netflix ,hulu and movies I have obtained that are stored on my nexus 6 Watch youtube and stream apps. I would want to connect it directly to my surround sound system HDMI port. So it the nexus played worth the extra .

Google Chromecast or amazon fire stick.

So I cancelled my DTV for many reasons main was $$$. Reason I am asking on these two particular devices is because right now I've been using Google music play I have a free trial service expires in September I'll be paying .99 a month comes out 8 a year their library is very extensive I haven't had to obtain music from any other source and I love the idea that I can store the music I mainly listen to on the device and put the rest up in the cloud which takes up no space I usually have Wi-Fi connection wherever I go. Butt there is no video service with that .99 a month only music...
I have a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime their music selection sucks I've had to obtain my favorite music by other means well over two and a half gigs. The videos that they offer under their prime category are okay a lot of the movies I watch I have to pay for and as for their shipping well I probably would utilize that benefit of the two day free maybe a handful of times a year. Unfortunately I'm on limited funds.
I see Google has a play service that offers movies and TV series at cost as well....
