Compass mode gone off Google wear maps after update

Hi everyone,
I just updated my Sony smart Watch 3 and the compass option has disappeared off the map app. I only have centre, searching around you and +-. Prior to the update I had the option to let the display to rotate as you moved which was really good. Has anyone else got the problem. All my apps on my s5 and the watch are up to date.

Compass magnetic sensor

Noticed that OnePlus one CM12.1 compass points the opposite direction.
Cbecked magnetic field and found out Bz value is inverted, compared to N4 AOSP.
Bz is the direction orthogonal to the screen, which explains the behavior that when phone is not lying flat (held up), it points to the opposite/wrong direction: When held up, it can points East and West correctly because the field is in By (landscape), but North and South are reversed since the field is in Bz direction,and the sensor reports the negative of the field.
Not to mention that Bz is most important when navigating as phone is mounted on dashboard and the back of screen is the direction you are going.

My question is what is the culprit ? Kernel, ROM, or config file ?

Navigation w/o Compass?

Does navigation works well w/o Compass feature?
Will it works well while drive ? Turn by turn navigation ?

i9515: compass not working properly

Hi,

I am very disappointed by the compass quality of my i9515 S4 value edition, because no matter what I do, whatever direction I turn my phone to, the compass only changes by about 2 to 10 degree, and has the wrong direction most of the time.

This is Android 5 stock ROM.

What I have tried:
- enter the calibration dialing *#0*#, which passes, but does not change anything
- reboot
- try different compass apps
- switch of energy safe mode

Nothing helps. Is this a general bug with the i9515, or is my compass sensor broken?
