Crash when uninstalling apps

Hello!

My Zenfone 2 crashes whenever I try to uninstall an app. (see video) What could be the cause and would flashing a rom fix it? I've already tried doing a factory reset.
It's the same no matter which application it is (play store, factory app, standalone apk etc etc)
When it asks if I'm sure whether I wanna uninstall and I press OK the phone instantly goes to the boot screen.

Uninstalling PlayStore

I'm trying to remove playstore so that i can install a themed version instead. When i flash the themed version for 5.1.1 it says playstore has stopped working.

Is there a way to fully remove the stock version before i flash the newer one?

Uninstalling AT&T bloat

just curious, has anyone actually uninstalled any bloat yet? i figure we should start a list of apps that we can remove without bootlooping. anyone want to chime in with apps that they have actually uninstalled?
