I just purchased a new fire tv and now i want root. All I am finding is that it can't be rooted... as an avid android user and rooter since the droid eris days... I find that hard to believe. So, I am asking the community I love so dear to fill me in please. Is there a way to root my fire tv? it has firmware 51.1.6.1, completely stock. Also, is there an IRC channel to join to talk about new developments on this firmware? Thanks so much in advance.
