Note 3 N9005 cant overclock processor

Hi guys, fairly new to modding my phone, have tried a few different roms and kernels over the last week, and have sort of settled on cyanogen CM12.1 lolliop 5.1.1. with the kernel that comes with the rom. I've been seeing a few posts/roms that claim its possible to overclock the processor to 2.7ghz now I've tried to install synapse, and stweaks neither of which seem compatible, so I have kernel adiutor installed, but the max frequency it will offer me is 2,3 ghz, am I missing something? can't seem to find any info, can anyone point me in the right direction please :D :D
