Issue changing bootanimation

Hello, so I've been trying to change my s6 bootanimation and after following each step correctly, it doesn't seem to work, I always end up with the default one. I tried using a .zip file that can be flashed through recovery, but that didn't work. I checked the permissions and even when I set them correctly it still doesn't work. I downloaded the bootanimation separately and just replaced the default in /system/media but even so it doesn't work.

G Pro wont boot after changing font

Hi all. I am using BP 3.9 + WK#4, I recently installed a font from @xdagee, the choco cooky font. Problem is after selecting it as font, I rebooted my device, and now I am stuck at bootanimation. Anyone have a solution? Any help would be great. Especially from @xdagee. Thanks all.

Need help changing Roms

So I want to go from the 5.0.2 xenon ROM, on the 12b bootstack, to a stock ROM to get GPS working, then to the 5.1.1 xdebb ROM on the 39a bootstack. What all do I need to do this?

Using Nexus 9 with T-Mobile Phone Sim, Changing IMEI

From what I understand, TMobile will block a tablet from using a phone sim by filtering based on the IMEI of the device. I've seen some other tablets say that they can get around this by removing the /efs and rebooting. Does anyone know if this would work for the N9 as well?

Changing the colors of a spinner

Surely there must be a SIMPLE way to change the damn text colour of spinner control without creating string array resources, alternative text view layouts and having the app crash if you get one of the multiple steps wrong.

What has happened to the KISS principal here? I.E. Just change a property value in the layout editor!

Changing Software Of Cheap Smart watches

Hello tyerebeveryone so as many of you may knwo or own watches like the various makes of the dz09 and others have the same software and Samsung s look withbslight differences like icon style and background.this makes my wonder how hard itnwould be to change the software because if the various company's can add backgrounds and watch faces why can't we.I have no knowledge of coding so I'm entrusting you the community to figure out how to mod these watches. A lot of them have micro SD slots and micro usbs to transfer data or hacks to change them and a lot of the ones with SD cards have a file browser so I can't imagine its that hard tomuse the file browser and explore the watches root directories the software isn't open source though so get creative I guess

To roll back to the phone memory is created in the folder vrtheme-backup the file vrtheme-restore.zip , it native backup files, which are modified during installation.

Trouble changing Bootanimation HTC Desire Eye

So I have tried multiple ways of doing this and I am having no luck.
I have tried manually doing it by going into the system/customize folder and replace the hTC_bootup.zip
I have tried going into the system/media folder and tried placing it into there.
I have tried using TWRP to flash, I get a file cannot be verified error.
I have tried also using apps. such as rom Toolbox Pro.

It seems like HTC has mad it harder to mod this phone to me. Maybe I am wrong but I have had trouble using Freedom.apk also.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Changing DPI to 540

If you like a tighter crisp viewing experience, I can confirm that adjusting DPI down to 540 is stable.

Changing ROM and FW to go to WWE vs Dev

Hey everyone,

I first want to say thanks for all the instructions here on this one, it's been a lot of searching, but got through getting my phone boot unlocked, TWRP installed, rooted, and finally through Venom, S-OFF.

I bought an M9 from eGlobal Central which landed me a HK phone and Asia ROM. It's also meant that with the subsequent upgrade to the 1.4 firmware package the battery has gone from terrible to paper weight.

I've got Venom on there for the moment (That got me through Sunshine) and I'm looking either at a stock Dev edition or WWE ROM (To get up to a >2.8 firmware), however, I'm wondering where to go now in regards to WWE or Dev. Errr... OK, just correct me where I'm wrong here:

I'll need a firmware package that matches the ROM.
I'm guessing I'll need a complete RUU, but for European Dev perhaps? What's the CID for that?
Actually is there any difference at all in the radio software between the different firmware releases and capabilities?
What is the current Android version in WWE that's available? (And what firmware more to the point, I just want off 1.4)
I've seen Dev is now on Android 5.1 and 2.8 firmware (And I'm guessing this has been patched higher again)
I assume that Dev has a faster release schedule than WWE?

I basically want to get myself back to the point where I'm getting OTA updates, but my phone lasts a day instead of a couple of hours (I should've bought another M8).
I'm sure that this has been done before, but hours of Google searches has left me well, slightly less in the dark, but the light at the end of the tunnel could be an oncoming train, so, thought I'd just ask.
