Issue changing bootanimation

Hello, so I've been trying to change my s6 bootanimation and after following each step correctly, it doesn't seem to work, I always end up with the default one. I tried using a .zip file that can be flashed through recovery, but that didn't work. I checked the permissions and even when I set them correctly it still doesn't work. I downloaded the bootanimation separately and just replaced the default in /system/media but even so it doesn't work.

[MOD] Android M Bootanimation

Here is the new Android M bootanmation. It barely fits our phone as it boots so quickly. This was ported over from the zip bootanimation by pas2001. If you add the following to your build prop it should go through properly.
Boot.fps=18

Bootanimation wont load

Hello guys,

I am new to XDA forums and also new to customizing my own Theme.
Following few tutorials and possible fixes, I did not manage to get my S4 i9505 to load my bootanimation that I created.

MY PHONE:

• GT-I9505


• 11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-jflte (CyanodenMod Version)


• 4.4.4 (Android version)

The above is my content inside BOOTANIMATION ZIP. Compressed with WinRAR using "STORE" as compress mode. PNGs developed with Adobe Photoshop. DESC was written in NOTEPAD.

2. Copied the .ZIP into my sdcard folder form Computer.
3. Opened File Manager with escalated Root Priviliges.
4. Selected my bootanimation.zip and copied it inside system/media/ .. overwritting previous bootanimation.zip
4.1 After some suggestions on web, I also copied one copy to root/data/local

When I reboot my phone, the CyanogenMod boot is no longer, but neither does it load my bootanimation.
It just loads some standard "android" animation.

Can anybody please help me?

[Q] Stucked at bootanimation after restart

I've posted this question in the ROM thread but not all read that threat so maybe you can help me
Has anyone got some problems getting stuck at the bootanimation after rebooting the phone? One of 3 reboots gets me stucked at the bootanimation, I have to hold the power and volume to power off the phone and when it reboots is optimising the application wich takes like 15 minutes to do that. That is what is bothering me. The fact that I have to wait 15 minutes to optimize the applications. I think it has something to do with Xposed.
Besides that the ROM is working flawless. Is the latest stock 5.1.1 with xposed and about 8-10 modules.
Has anyone had this problem?

[Q] Stuck on bootanimation, Can't get in into recovery, No usb debugging

Excuse me everyone. I'm sorry if my english bad
My phone just stuck in bootanimation after flashing CM11 using TWRP. I can't get into recovery or download mode because my home button is not working. When I connect my phone using USB into laptop, my phone detected as SAMSUNG Mobile MTP Devices with yellow sign. So I'm trying get into recovery using ADB Command but my phone not detected in adb, I can't see Android Composite ADB Interface in my device manager.
Any Suggestion ? Please help me :crying:

Setting a custom Bootanimation

Hey folks,
just a quick one for those who are interested. You can set a custom Bootup Animation. Most/All Animations you find online will work. Mind though, with the Mate 7 you won't be able to use provided flushable Zip files. So here's a short how-to

1. Download the Animation you want
1.1 Determine if the zip is a flushable file or the Animation itself (both are zip files)
If you don't now, unpack the file. If its folders named "Part1, Part2,..." You have the Animation. If you see a "System" folder, it's flashable.
1.2 in case of flushable: Browse to "\System\Media" and save the zip file on your PC
2. Push the Zip File to your Phone (Anywhere you are able to find it again ;))
3. Use a Root Explorer on your Phone (i like ES Explorer) and mount your "" as RW (google the exact steps for your chosen Explorer)
4. Copy the "boot animation.zip" to "\cust\preinstalled\pubilc\media"
5. Reboot and Enjoy

Moto g xt1064 stuck on blank screen after bootanimation.

Hi, sorry for creating a new thread but I posted in two different related threads i didn't get any answers.
I was given thus moto g 2nd gen xt1064 us version, with unlocked bootloader, status code:3, the phone powers on and go through the boot animation then turns blank with a faint backlight and stays there until battery drain.
What i did so far.
I booted into recovery and made cache and data wipe. Didn't work.
I flashed a stock firmware (5.02 btw) through fastboot with bootloader lock, everything went well according to log, but same result won't go past bootanimation.
I noticed the bootloader is still unlocked even though the relock command was successful:confused:, also phone is not detected by my pc except in fastboot mode.
Any suggestions?

Trouble changing Bootanimation HTC Desire Eye

So I have tried multiple ways of doing this and I am having no luck.
I have tried manually doing it by going into the system/customize folder and replace the hTC_bootup.zip
I have tried going into the system/media folder and tried placing it into there.
I have tried using TWRP to flash, I get a file cannot be verified error.
I have tried also using apps. such as rom Toolbox Pro.

It seems like HTC has mad it harder to mod this phone to me. Maybe I am wrong but I have had trouble using Freedom.apk also.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

HOW TO INSTALL



1.DOWNLOAD THE ZIP FILE TO SDCARD
2.RENAME IT AS (bootanimation.zip)
3.OPEN ROOT EXPLORER
4.Copy it to system/media
5.set permission rw-r-r
6.Reboot.

bootanimation?

anyone figure out how to change the bootanimation? ive been trying with some XXHDPI & XHDPI bootanimations but for some reason even after having the permissions at "rw- r-- r--" its stuck at the same boring LG bootanimation. if any other fellow user has gotten it to work help a brother out.
