Why there is so little development?

I saw several reviews from Mate 7 and I loved it, It´s an incredible phone, but some important aspect for me is the community development. I like to get root, flash Roms and get updates to be in the last version

But I found that this forum has very little development
Is it because Huawei launches few updates?
Do you think it will be the same with future Huawei phones like Honor 7, ascend S....

A little help - Galaxy S6

Well, I somehow ended up with a very mismatched system. I was having some issues, so I factory reset, and decided to try the Samsung Find My Mobile feature - which didn't work due to being rooted. I thought it was because I froze/deleted something required for it, but it was root. I was running OF4 having used the FlashFire update files.

Long story short, no matter which rom I flash (OCE, OE2) I get no service unless I flash the modem.tar.md5 and boot.tar.md5 that came with the FF OF4 update. But if I do that, I can't root. PingPong tells me the system is not supported. I think I can root after Odin'ing the OCE files, but I haven't yet tried it.

I would be fine with staying on an older OS (OCE or OE2) but Bluetooth is broken, and it won't remember wifi keys.

If there was only a FF OE2 update, I would probably not have a problem. OF3 update is complaining it needs the OE2 release keys, and OF4 wants OF3 release keys when trying to flash with FF. Extremely frustrating.

i want to ask it its normal, i have the international version
and when i take a picture its show me some statics dots like on the tv but at the end the photo is good without it.
does it okey?, btw its only in home,with out too much lighting...

(CM12 & 12.1 ) Free a little more Space on your internal SD

As we all Know that Lollipop uses ART instead of Dalvik and hence uses a little more space than the stock or CM11 Roms leaving less space for us to use but there's a code (provided below) available that forces the ART to skip compiling apps and free a little more space.

Code :

dalvik.vm.dex2oat-filter=interpret-only

Add these code in the end of your build.prop and reboot your phone into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik and reboot and than check your storage :good:

[Q]A little help for porting ROM

Hello everyone

I want to port MIUI from K-Touch Touch 2 device to my Archos 45 Hélium 4G ( they are clones )
I followed this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1908008 but i get stucked when i have to edit the Updater-Script :

- There's no set_perm
- Do i have to just remplace the file or edit it ? this is the same phone because as i said they're clones, so can't I just replace file ?

A little confused on how to get TWRP on my new Kindle Fire HDX 7"

Hey, so I purchased a Kindle Fire HDX 7" that came with the 13.3.0.5 firmware.

From what I was able to gather on here I was able to root, and disable the OTA , also installed xposed and HDxposed.

I might have got a little ahead of myself seeing I really want to get the bootloader unlock, twrp installed, and get a proper android OS rom installed.

All the posts I can find seem to be updated to only work on firmware .3.2.3.2 , and by flashing a rom using adb or a third party app to get twrp installed. From there it's smooth sailing to installing a custom rom.

So my question is , how the heck to I upgrade to firmware .3.2.3.2 without twrp already installed, and where can I find these .bins to get there?

I haven't been to XDA for a while since my XPeria T has done a nice job for me, but lately it's starting to show how old it got, not because apps got newer or required more resources, but it started switching keyboard to Chinese without letting me switch back, I can't answer when my phone is ringing, blue screen flashes on YT app etc.
These are just some of the problems I encountered, but I won't bug you with the details as I gave Sony a nice amount of rage on their FB site for releasing damaged software to not-so-expensive phones and leaving them that way...

Before I had HTC WFS, and my friend rooted it for me, so I am still kinda new in this, and if anyone could briefly describe step by step process of installing custom ROM with root I would be very grateful.
The reason I'm asking this is because I'm afraid I'm gonna brick it if I do it on my own, I've done the easy part (downloading SDK and fastboot driver), now I have to install it, find a nice ROM I have, but I still need to install CWM and before I've had some problems (because of the firmware I think, when tried installing 4.4.4 on WFS it couldn't after 4.4.2).

Also, is there any way to back my original software up in case everything goes downhill I can just roll it back, continue complaining how I have a ****ty phone and be satisfied with it anyway? :)

So, just to be clear, my knowledge of Linux systems isn't great, at least not to experiment on my own (ironic as I'm programming in Python) so if anyone could make it look like this:

1. Do this
2. Do this (in case it fails, do this)
3. Then do this
Done!

Thanks maties! (sorry if the question is too simple, I've tried gathering information from "xperia t development" thread, but there's so many things and I don't understand what half of them do, I requested to unlock bootloader from Sony and I'll try to do this on my own :))

EDIT: We're talking about GSM Xperia T (Croatia, Europe) in case anyone needs that info!
