Please NO MORE UPDATES. PLease HELP ME STOP 5.1 UPDATE

How can you even avoid updating your phone? I got my T Mobile phone yesterday and before I could finish creating my Google account, Android restarted the phone in Odin and installed an update. I am still on 5.0.1 but I do not want any more updates. I actually wanna see how Kit Kat runs because my phone's battery sucks, granted I still have to work out battery life tricks and read up on stuff, but I find it ridiculous that I need to put my phone on power saving mode off the bat to get it to last till 5 Pm with moderate use...very moderate use. I don't even play games. And I've heard horror stories of reverting back to Kit Kat so I'm scared that my 400 dollar phone will become useless if I try it

It just seems Samsung is out to sabotage the Note 4 family so we buy their crappy Note 5

Connection via MSC gives more than MTP?

Hi

I recently started testing some file comparison applications and I kind of wish I hadn't.
In running comparisons between files transferred from my Sony Z2 (Android 5.0.2) and Windows 8.1, I have found that sometimes, files are not fully sent over MTP.
I have transferred 106 video files from my Z2 over to my PC. Five of the files have been highlighted in a file comparison programme as being different when transferred over MTP.
I have finally found that the problem is MTP.
I have attached 2 copies of the same file - shot on my Sony Xperia Z2.
At first glance it's just a quick video I took on an evening Thames cruise in London. The end of the video is important, MSC shows a man's head moving towards the bottom right hand side of the video at the end, the MTP version doesn't get that far.

More lag & problems after root

Hi , i have note 4 on rom 5.0.1 BOE1 Egy csc and a 32 gb sd card inserted
Especially after i rooted my phone i'm suffering from lags at device generally :
1- After opening the mobile data there are about 5 seconds of lag on all phone
2- Battery drain
3- " SD card is a umounted ....." message frequently appear from it self after unlocking the lock screen or using the phone generally
4- ram always full

Need your help

(CM12 & 12.1 ) Free a little more Space on your internal SD

As we all Know that Lollipop uses ART instead of Dalvik and hence uses a little more space than the stock or CM11 Roms leaving less space for us to use but there's a code (provided below) available that forces the ART to skip compiling apps and free a little more space.

Code :

dalvik.vm.dex2oat-filter=interpret-only

Add these code in the end of your build.prop and reboot your phone into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik and reboot and than check your storage :good:

Way to clock more than 1 core?

Is there a way to clock multiple cores on a stock rooted kitkat ROM? Apps in the play store work but only change the primary core.

Overheating and SD810 bashing - nothing more then a myth?

Hello guys.

I know that there is a "Overheating" - Thread but I opened this thread mainly because my experience so far with this device differs extremely from the things you gotta hear and read in Reviews.

I have my Z3+ for about 10 Days now and I didn't run in any troubles at this time. No single "Overheating"-Issue. No problemes with camera [oh wait, i didn't done 10 Antutu runs and then tried to record an hour of 4k video. maybe because of this?]

As I got my Device I did at first the OTA, then a Repair trough the PC-Companion like one User suggested here and I'm perfectly fine. When I read at xda there seems to be a genereal "Snapdragon 810" - Bashing. I mean performance wise the SD810 ist just for the Moment on a really top Level. I even get really good battery Life after i dealt with some problems where Sony isn't the one to blame (Google fix this mobile radio active bug...).

Yeah it might get hot under certain Circumstances but my i9100 gets alot hotter when i'm using it like my Z3+. So whats the point of the moans? I really don't get it. Seems for me like a ****storm simply caused by negative reviews and most of other users chiming in -.-

Whats your opinion / Expierence ? I hope you all get the point because english isn't my first language ;)

I feel that the retail models don't get as much love as the dev ones. there is a way to root current 5.0.1 retail models, someone just has to find it. Good luck guys and may all the power be to you.

No more individual ringer mp3 on 5.1.1

Hi there, I have a weird issue here after updating Z3 from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 prerooted.

So - I had 5.0.2 and I installed a mod there (I think it might be important, but who knows...) - the Dialer&Contact Mod (from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/cros...s-1-0-t3115001). Then I flashed new 5.1.1 prerooted and I didn't flashed new version of this mod (just wanted to go without it for now). Everything works fine, despite of individual contact ringer music, from mp3 files. It worked before, on 5.0.2, and now it doesn't. Why? Should I use an uninstaller for this mode first (flashing 5.1.1 over didn't wipe it away?)? Or is there any other solution? :) Please, help me.
