charging and touch screen issues

I have a droid ultra that I replaced the motherboard. afterwards I noticed the battery wouldnt charge past 4%. Everything else worked fine. then the touchscreen wouldnt work. I reinstalled android with rsdlite. Thats when I noticed that it would charge to 100% but no touchscreen or the touchscreen would work but the phone wouldnt charge. Any ideas whats wrong ?

Touch won't work after Flashing 4.4 via Lg Tools

I cant get my touch to work after flashing to 4.4, but when i downgrade to 4.1 all of a sudden it worked, can you guys help mw with it? please.

Any way to change the lock screen 'touch the screen' look?

I liked the Note 4 which you could tap and it made bubbles! Any way to change the way it is set?

Inverted Touch Screen

im having the issue reported by some users of inverted axis. ive searched a lot and cant seem to find a fix. i restored to 5.1.1 original firware, made a full wipe and he code *#2663# will still give an error. i cant enter the secret menu to perform the TSP update. can anyone help please?thanks

Touch screen fault

Hi everyone

I recently ordered a Moto G 3rd gen (through Tesco Mobile in the UK if it matters), and the touch screen seems to have some sort of fault. Long story short, I type pretty quickly with two thumbs and sometimes two separate presses are treated as a swipe. I've never seen this behaviour in any of my previous phones (including the Moto G 1st gen), so I am wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

Contacted the network who sent a replacement phone, but while it is slightly better the fault is still noticeable. My colleague got a 3rd gen the other day as well and I can replicate the issue on his, although of his own admission he doesn't type particularly quickly or with both thumbs at the same time, so it doesn't bother him.

If you turn on the touch screen debugging options you can see some swipes which were actually separate presses. I've attached a couple of shots so you can see what I mean.

Anyone else able to reproduce?! All you need to do is type a message out quickly with two thumbs. "Hehehehehehehe" is a good test.

Touch Screen / Digitizer Stopped Working

hi all . i have an G3 D855 and last night the phone was working perfect . i got in to bed and i put it to charge and set an alarm .
this morning i could not stop the alarm .... the touch screen is working really hard .. i mean i have to press it quite hard for anything to happend and is only working on some spots ... i recently discover that if i squeze the phone in to my hand in a certain point the touch screen works perfect ... anyone had this experience ? i think i have to replace the digitizer ... but i wanted to ask you too

Touch Screen being weird after wrong CR installed

Ok so i installed the wrong custom recovery file. Since then the touch screen has been off. It's hard to explain but it still works it just not where i press untill i get up in the top right left corner.

As you can see from this screen shot, i am click on the PHONE icon at the top, and it's down below where i actually click.
Now when i use the pen it works perfectly fine, so it's not the touch screen (i believe it's self)

I have flash the stock recovery.img back, that didn't fix it, i flashed the stock boot.img that didn't fix it, then installed the whole stock rom and it didn't fix it. I am trying to fix it without doing a factory restore. So does anyone know how to fix the stuff up i have made? Any help would be amazing.

Touch Sensitivity App?

Hey I got a screen protector by Skinomi but I have had an issue with the screen sensitivity since I installed that protector and an otterbox... The sensitivity is incredibly low so I have to literally smash my finger on the screen to touch the edge (rounded and flat area near edge).
Hoping that there is an app or something out there to make it more sensitive or calibrate the screen maybe? I dont care for knox or anything like that and I am rooted with a japanese S6 Edge... SM-925J. With AU KDDI... Don't know how much that matters but just in case. Thank you in advance guys!

Philz Touch Recovery question!

Hi I have a galaxy s5, with philz touch recovery.

I recently threw my phone and cracked the lcd screen and now i cant see or touch anything.

I want to recover my files, and I think the rom also busted in the process because I can't open the usb/media on my computer when i turn the phone on and connect it to my pc.

Can someone give me step by step directions on how to get to the "mount usb" option to access your files from the philz touch recovery on to the pc. Like once you press power, vol up, and home key to load philz touch, how many times do i vol down, power, etc to get to mount usb.

Ubuntu Touch porting?

Hello, just a thread to ask if anyone heard about someone porting Ubuntu Touch to Moto X 2014, i really want it, so if there's no WIP, and a ROM maker want to do it, i'd really like to try it(and be a tester)! (Or, very last option, try to port it, but as i've never built any ROM, it's the very last option ^^)

Need help my HTC EVO s touch input not work.

My phone is sliped from my hand and fall down on the floor in screen side.
I picked up and the phone work fine.

But after sometime its screen stop working.

Sometime work sometime not.

It's screen problem or my device software.

I have miui stable ics Rom.

Intermittent display, no touch screen, FIXED

My nexus 5 screen wasn't turning on. I could push on the back and it might turn on, or show a distorted display. It eventually booted and the touchscreen wouldn't work. It was a mess.

Oh, and before this the mic wouldn't work without pushing on the back. It was bad.

I reconnected only the display cable, not the battery, and plugged it into the pc. I was hoping it would boot so I could remove its photos before sending it in for repairs.
It showed a no battery symbol, BUT the display was on, and properly working!

I reconnected the battery, and it booted normally. Touchscreen worked and all.

Now, there are no issues, no mic problem, no touchscreen problem, like new! Just thought, if anyone else is dealing with this same dilemma, they might find this post helpful.

Note: This is my second nexus 5, the last one had major battery issues and needed to be replaced. Don't know if I'd buy another LG (nexus) phone after this.

broken touch screen fixed itself

A couple weeks into using my new nexus 5, half the touch screen stopped working (if you really had to, you could still press buttons by pressing the thing really hard). It seemed like it was a hardware issue so I unrooted and wiped the device with this guide

with the intent of returning it. Part of this process involved TWRP (where there are touch controls), and the problem occurred even there. (to me, that seemed to confirm it must be a hardware issue).

Now after everything is factory-reset, the touch screen has magically started working again. I'm extremely confused how this could have happened. My best guess is that the issue was intermittent and i accidentally jiggled the phone in a certain way to make it start working again.

Does anyone have an idea what could have happened, or how I could stress-test things to find out? If it is indeed an intermittent issue and the phone needs to be replaced I'd like to do that ASAP because I'm leaving the country and dealing with warranty will be difficult from overseas.

Disable touch screen input via console

Hi,

is it possible to disable the touchscreen of this phone via a console command, for example over SSH?

For a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, I was told there's a control file named /sys/class/sec/tsp/input/enabled, and the touchscreen could be entirely disabled with:

However the Galaxy Fame doesn't have such control file.
Can this be worked around?

Parts of screen not responding to touch.

I charged my Nexus 5 using a cheap charger for some hours and upon unlocking the phone I found that there was a black spot at the bottom right of the screen and it was spreading. Now it's just a white spot (pictures attached) but parts of the screen are not responding to touch. For example I can't type the word "o" or edit a contact. Anyone know any solution to this? Will I have to change the whole screen?

Touch screen help

Hi all.

My wife's s4 mini started to play up, 1/4 of the touch screen from the bottom has stopped working. this means she cannot assess app tray, call log etc.
the screen itself looks fine and all other parts are responsive to touch.

I manage to reset the phone by turning it sideways to assess all the keys but this has not solved the issues.

Do I need a new screen or can this be repaired?
