display dead after one day of use

like title ... half day to configure all and then after a recharge the display is black .. not black like phone off but with a little retro light of display ... the phone is always on and after 10 seconds of start button it restart but always the display is gray/black and is not possible to tap anything ... some suggestion please ... thanks a lot ...

Issues on the XT1540? USB Media and Active Display.

Most things on this CM build seem to be working correctly but there are a few issues when running on my XT1540.

USB Media Device does not function: When I plug the phone into my Linux Laptop - the USB device is recognized but no Media Device is presented on the Laptop. (It was working fine with the stock ROM and works fine over fastboot and TWRP. When choosing the Media Device option from the USB menu on the phone, it can be difficult to enable it. Sometimes the check box will stay ticked and sometimes it wont, it will revert to photo device. It still wont make any updates to the dmesg log on the laptop.

When the phone is unlocked, neither picking up the phone, nor waving a hand over the front will enable the display of notifications. Now this might be something to do with Llama keeping the device unlocked but I don't know. I am not using smart lock.

Also - an irritation - it is far too easy to create the double twist gesture with CMActions. The camera often starts when I take it out of my pocket. Not so with the stock ROM.

Anyone else seeing these issues?

ambient display not working?

My son has the moto e.
We recently updated it to lolippop
While going through the setting, i saw ambient display.
I enabled it but it never works. Never wakes up the device to show the notifications.

Can anyone please let me know if working for you?

Bump / Bubble under Display

Noticed a bump underneath my Alpha recently. You can only see it at an acute angle, and doesn't affect viewing the screen normally, but it's bugging me a little. Just curious is anyone else seeing the same?

S3 roms eBay display issue

Hi hope your all great,could anyone shed light on why eBay will not display any pictures in my watch list,when I flash roms,the only rom that works is archydroid KitKat stable,its my rom of choice as it works so well for me,but I have no luck with any other rom getting eBay to display images,and I would like to flash other roms.

Broken Display? How can I fix it?

Hey!

I bought a used moto360 about a month ago with some pixel errors. They didnt bother me much, until I noticed that they are expanding.
Since I bought them from ebay and the seller doesnt have the invoice anymore, I cant RMA it.

This is how it used to look like:

And now it looks like this:

Im not familiar with displays, so I cant tell what exactly is broken. I just know its getting worse.
Is it possible to stop it from expanding? If not, what do I need to replace? And what kind of tools do I need?

Display not working on call

The display goes of when kaki no call. I have to close the flop cover and operate the call mode. Latest ROM is loaded on the mobile. I get a message call screen not working properly.

gap between frame and display

on the bottom left of my xperia z4 tablet the gap between the rubber and the display is a bit larger than at the rest of the device (as shown in the picture)

Lumia 920 display changes color

Hi!

I got an old Lumia 920 and it works fine, but there is one issue:

The display changes the colors when I change the angle I'll look on it. I think the display is not the original display.

What can I do? Is changing the display the only way to solve this issue, or is there any other way to solve the problem?

Intermittent display, no touch screen, FIXED

My nexus 5 screen wasn't turning on. I could push on the back and it might turn on, or show a distorted display. It eventually booted and the touchscreen wouldn't work. It was a mess.

Oh, and before this the mic wouldn't work without pushing on the back. It was bad.

I reconnected only the display cable, not the battery, and plugged it into the pc. I was hoping it would boot so I could remove its photos before sending it in for repairs.
It showed a no battery symbol, BUT the display was on, and properly working!

I reconnected the battery, and it booted normally. Touchscreen worked and all.

Now, there are no issues, no mic problem, no touchscreen problem, like new! Just thought, if anyone else is dealing with this same dilemma, they might find this post helpful.

Note: This is my second nexus 5, the last one had major battery issues and needed to be replaced. Don't know if I'd buy another LG (nexus) phone after this.

Stock ROM with ambient display?

I'm using CM 12.1, I love it but I'm having a lot of FCs and reboots that I didn't used to have with stock. Also, I love on stock the double twist inside the camera app which flips between front camera and rear camera. The only thing that makes me keep using CM is the ambient display. Is there any custom rom based on stock that does have ambient display working with the IR and pick up sensors?

Android output display via USB?

Is it possible to output display of an Android device through USB? Let say the this Android device doesn't have a screen (just like any Android media player where it uses HDMI for display output) but now I want to use USB for display output. Is it possible? If so, could you give me some information link?

Sleep timer under Display settings won't stay where I set it.

Settings/Display/Sleep. It's always set on 1 minute, whether I change it or not. I've tried setting it to 5 mins and it goes right back to 1 min. None of my changes will stay. Always 1 min. My tab is not rooted and its up to date.
I cannot find the answer anywhere. Any searches I make on Sleep never give me the correct search. I am at my wits end. It's extremely annoying when reading something and the display closes down. I always have to press the Power button to wake it up.
Please give me some suggestions.

Problem with display

Has anyone ever had a problem with display in that phone?

I mean. Phone misinteprets the command. It turn on the other thing than i wanted. It's really frustrating

Display broken, need ideas for the way ahead

I had purchased the Moto Turbo (Indian Version XT 1225) for ~USD 650. Recently, in a minor accident it broke. Ouch
>> Visible damage: Top glass seems fine, but the display underneath is cracked, no longer functional (We do not have the free one time screen replacement option that Verizon gives. Plus I did not have any other insurance).
>> Possible invisible damages: Right after the accident, the phone became pretty hot, and it was vibrating every 15 odd seconds for about an hour or so (till it ran out of battery, perhaps). I don't know if the internals suffered from any shock or heat damages.

The authorised service center says the Display unit replacement will cost ~USD 280. Any other possible, though unlikely, damages to the battery/motherboard can be determined only after the display is replaced. I have not been able to find out if display units for the Turbo are available for cheaper from third parties in India, any idea about that?

Now my dilemma. Do I go for the screen replacement for a very expensive ~USD 280. Or do I go in for a cheaper handset. I really liked my Turbo, more than what we have on the market right now, the only two gripes being the camera quality compared to it's peers and the doubtful upgrade to Android M. But it has not had a price reduction, and in the current mobile market, shelling out ~USD 650 for it seems too much.

Thoughts?
