Bricked VS980 Help appreciated

So long story short I had to TOT back to stock and a OTA update bricked my phone, stuck at the LG logo, I tried to go back into download mode and download mode works but when I plug it in to my PC I get USB drivers failed to install error message so LGFLASH tools can not recognize it, I tried to reinstall the lg drivers, a different cable and even a different computer, still fails.

Any suggestions as to how I can save my G2 would be appreciated, I am using my old galaxy nexus and I do not have enough pockets for the number of batteries it takes to get through the day...might be slightly exaggerating

Softbricked after AT&T OTA, tried many things, any help appreciated

Had stock AT&T SGH-I747 at Android 4.2.2 rooted with chainfire working fine. Today an update installed automatically and now I'm dead.

At first, it would show the Samsung logo and maybe another, then just go black.

Now normal booting, or attempting to boot into recovery gives: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."

If attempt to boot into download mode, it succeeds. But everything will end up with "FAIL!" in Odin and show "fused 3 > binary 0" on the phone. I've tried multiple Odins: v3.10.6, 3.09, 3.07 and multiple recoveries (Clockwork 6.0.4.7, etc.) and stock ROMS (UCALG1, UCDLK3).

Even Kies "Firmware Upgrade and Initialiasion" option, where you enter in SGH-I747 and the serial number will go through all the motions and then fail, with the same "fused" message showing on the phone.

Grendelin had the most similar situation (I can't post external links yet, but you can get to it at http:__androidforums.comthreads_at-t-gs3-at-t-issues-after-downloading-newest-update.860382_ by replacing _'s with /'s) as me but the difference is that he was able to flash a recovery image which led to further restoration.

Please help. If it's not possible to recover this, I would just like to get a couple years' worth of pictures from /sdcard/DCIM/*.

[Q] N5; Battery (Maybe) Completely Fried? Diagnostic help appreciated.

Hi guys,

So my sister had her N5 for about a year, and she used the battery a lot, and ran it down fairly frequently. She started saying that her battery wasn't working very well, and that the capacity was very bad. Then she said that the phone would randomly crash. She started having it constantly plugged into a portable charger, and said it would sometimes STILL randomly crash while connected (This could have been the cable though, pretty impossible to test at this point in this state).

Fast forward now I got a free N5 (Same one...) with a bad battery? How can I know it's the battery? It crashes within a minutes or so, not hot or anything like that. I can't get a cycle down for calibration cause it just shuts off. I've charged it off for two days straight.

When it crashes/shuts down while booting up, it needs to reoptimize the apps which takes quite a while.

Is there any way I can fix this? Get a new battery? How hard is replacing the battery? Do you think it's a bad idea to attempt a root?

Thanks guys.

Sim and rear camera problem, any help appreciated!

Hi everyone!
I recently had problems with my M8 not seeing the sim card, I decided to reflash the firmware and upgrade from kitkat 4.4.2 to lollipop 5.0.1 as my M8 is somehow registered to germany and i'm in the uk and wont automatic update ( according to HTC), teach me to buy on the internet!! I also flashed the ROM with mike 1986's revolution, but still the phone would not recognise my sim! Lastly i replaced the sim reader (hardware) and it recognised the sim, happy days i thought! but the wifi started to play up and i found that the rear camera did not work! After reading these forum's someone had suggested that the kernal was not compatable! i have now set the phone back to stock following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&highlight=md5
In following this my OS is now 4.16.401.10 it was 4.16.401.7
now the sim is not recognized, and no rear camera!
I'm now struggling big time to get this to work at all, I am new to all of this so i have been reading through the forums trying to educate myself but i have managed to dig in deeper trying to understand MD5! My head is now melted :silly: but it has now come to admitting defeat and asking for assistance!!
Any suggestion would be great!!
