Need help with bricked Moto E

Hello,
I am new to this Moto E. It's actually a friend's phone and he though that since I have experience when it comes to LG G2 and S II Skyrocket SGH-i727, he decided to ask me to help him unbrick his device.
It's not actually bricked per se. It's actually stuck at the boot. It comes up to optimize the apps and start the android but it never ends. It's always stuck at Starting Android. I was able to get into TWRP recovery but I can't mount the USB. No matter the mode I place it, the usb is never detected. I can't find another way around to fix it. I was thinking about a clean factory reset from TWRP but I'd still like to get around with something.
Since USB is not working, can't get flash stock ROM to downgrade from lollipop 5.1.1 to 4.4.4 (that's pretty much what he wants, once the device is fixed).

Tried to return to stock, soft bricked my phone.

I tried a method which made me flash a stock RUU, it came up with certification errors.

When I connect my phone to my Mac, "/.adb devices" returns a blank, but "/.fastboot devices" works.

What can I do to get my device back to stock?

Unfortunately during a software update the phone just got cold with black screen.
I started searching and found a solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...brick-t2904404
I used all info as instructed and managed to manually flash the partitions like in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2582142

But unfortunately i got stuck after the last step (ubuntu flash), the next thread does not help me with my "softwareless" phone.
Any advice how should i proceed in order to push the cyanogen 12.1 and gappa to the get the phone up and running ?
I currently have TWRP but a lot of features are not working, i guess it's as expected since it was hard wiped.

So I currently own a VDF 785 and it was rooted. While I was surfing the web, the phone froze for a moment and I decided to take the battery out. There was a message on the screen when I was pulling it out, but I didn't have time to look at it. When I tried to reboot it, there is a continuous circle to represent that it is loading, but it goes on forever. I have formatted the phone, and the last this I installed was a beta version of Nova Launcher form a friend, who gave the .apk file. My laptop cannot detect my phone.... WHAT SHOULD I DO?????

hey Guys, two days ago after trying to use ODIN, my tablet is stuck on boot logo and i can't even get it into recovery mode (Pressing the right buttons). I tried many things but none worked. Please can You help me?

Bricked VS980 Help appreciated

So long story short I had to TOT back to stock and a OTA update bricked my phone, stuck at the LG logo, I tried to go back into download mode and download mode works but when I plug it in to my PC I get USB drivers failed to install error message so LGFLASH tools can not recognize it, I tried to reinstall the lg drivers, a different cable and even a different computer, still fails.

Any suggestions as to how I can save my G2 would be appreciated, I am using my old galaxy nexus and I do not have enough pockets for the number of batteries it takes to get through the day...might be slightly exaggerating

Soft bricked shield tablet PLEASE HELP!

So I bought my shield tablet back in March, used it until about may I think. Was browsing the internet then it suddenly crashed and got stuck on the Nvidia boot screen. tried to reboot several times. Nothing. So I forgot about it and thought I would just google the reset option later when I had time. Now since June I have tried everything! From factory reset to fast boot and adb my pc won't even recognize my tablet. Also I never turned on usb dbugging cause I didn't even know what that was. I even gave it to the IT guys at work and they couldn't fix it. Now after reading everything there is to read on this problem and trying to fix it myself I'm stuck on the no command screen with the dead android robot. And now I hear there is a recall do to the battery, I can't even check what type I have. So if someone can please help me I would be much appreciative. Also this happened after updating to the latest OS.

Device is bricked!!!!!

Please help! I'am using model SM-N900. Today, I wanted to downgrade from my 5.0 custom ROM to stock 4.4.2. I downloaded the 4.4.2 firmware and opened ODIN. I selected AP mode and selected the .tar.md5 file I extracted and it loaded it up. I booted the phone into download mode. I selected auto reboot and F. Reset time. I clicked start and it started. It went along well until it got to system.img in which it stopped and failed. Now I tried a lollipop image, and it came up with the same result. I tried flashing the TWRP image and it flashed successfully. I was able to boot into TWRP and use it. I now tried flashing a custom rom. I tried a AOSP lollipop rom, 5.0 TW rom, and a 4.4.2 TW rom and they all booted to a black screen. I'am now desperate to fix my seemingly bricked device so somebody out there, please help! My Chinese Nokia N1 is bricked.

Why bricked:

After change file build.prop extracted from file uploaded by XDA user (I can't find a thread), my tablet only boot to screen "Powered by Android".
Nokia can't do power off. Allways reboot after many seconds hold power key.

Next what I do:
ADB working, but i dont have permission to change this file (i have backup build.prop).
I do all (IMO) to change permission to /system (read-only):
- mount -o rw,remount ...
- adb remount
etc.

Don't work power button and volume down.
And I have an idea ...

I run script to root Nokia from XDA.
Look great.
From recovery menu I mount /system to read-write.
After adb shell and mount command i see /system is read-write, but any changes/copy file = operation not permitted.
I try (of course after su).
- busybox mount -o rw,remount ...
- busybox chmod 777 /system

still "operation not permitted"

I'm disappointed.

And I run system/factory reset from recovery menu after run root script.

Now:
- still boot to screen "powered by android"
- adb not working, I don't have device ADB in Windows device manager
- power and volume up give me device: moorefield in windows device manager
- downloaded "Intel Phone Flash Tool Lite", and I see my Nokia after power & volume UP is connected in this software.

What next, what I need for unbrick? If they can...

[Q] Hard bricked SM-N900V?

Hi there, my first post. Thank you for all of the great resources and contributions on here. I really appreciate all of this info and enjoy learning more about Android.

I had my 1.5 year old Verizon Note 3 (SM-N900V) that was acting weird so I warrantied and got a new one 2 months ago. It has been working great ever since. I have not rooted the phone or anything, running all stock software, Android 5.1.1. Last Tuesday I pulled my phone out of my pocket after lunchtime (had just spoken to my wife, sent a couple texts, you know the normal stuff maybe 30 minutes before) and it was dead.... I thought it was weird, thought maybe it just turned off o something, battery was about half full the last time I saw it. But nothing, nada, no response from leaving plugged in for a couple hours to charge. No vibrate on power+vol down+home button, not so response no vibrate from power button alone.

I have tried the mje and nc2 unbrick image with Win32Disk imager and am still getting zero response from the phone. Using a 32gb micro sd formatted to exfat. also tried fat 16.

I thought that I read when a phone is hard bricked and you are using the method with the unbrick image file on a micro sd card you will still get a vibrate when holding the buttons down even it the screen doesn't turn on? I am getting no response whatsoever.

I'm def. a newb in terms of my android rooting and flashing ROM's experience, I have only experimented with 2 different phones.

I have a feeling the phone is toast but I'm so confused by how it died... Wondering if maybe they sent me a refurb device when I warrantied it and it was just volatile? I'm also temped to order a new motherboard for it off of ebay but again I don't know enough to determine if it would work or it this is just a crapshoot. I am due for an upgrade but was hoping that I wouldn't have to upgrade for a few more months until the Note 5 drops in price a little, I was even going to just get the Note 4 because it has a microSD slot but it's the same price as the Note 5! I am using my old school Galaxy Nexus for the time being and it's killing me, the thing is a dinosaur!

Bricked my Nexus 5, help?

Hey. Just a few days ago I learned hhow to use CWM and all that stuff (what a noob ikr). I installed CM12 and Elemental X kernel. I tried to install Xposed Framework but it did not work and ever since, my phone will not boot up properly. It shows the google logo, shuts down, shows google logo again and then it does the CM12 Boot animation but doesnt do anything after that. I have tried everything. Sadly, I did not have a backup for when this did not occur so I have 1 backup that has this error. I already tried clearing devlik cache and factory reseting from recovery but it doesnt work. I think if someone could tell me a very noob friendky way to install the stock rom would help. Very noob friendly.

After a failed Windows 10 upgrade attempt, my HTC 8x was working fine however after few days I attempted to soft reset it and all hell broke loose! Its stuck in reset gears loop ever since.

I have tried the below however not successful, any help is appreciated...

1. Attempt to hard reset by holding down the volume down key while powering on the device > Result: Doesnt show the Exclamation ( ! ) symbol
2. Windows Phone Recovery tool doesnt detect the phone > choose my phone was not detected > Start the phone in boot loader mode by holding both volume up and down keys while powering on > It goes to boot loader mode however reports "Software package is not found on server"!

Bricked, no adb in recovery, rru needed?

I tried to install a custom rom on the device, it never worked, i ended formatting the system + data by accident.

I have philz recovery on it, i tried to mount the data folder and transfer files via abd, this never worked, sideloading through the recovery doesn't work either, i've spent about 6 hours straight on this, tried every driver i could find, still no adb.

I download a ruu, i don't have access to a linux machine in order to change the file for the cid though, I could not for the life of me find the proper ruu file.

Security Error LG G4 (Bricked?) i think

i was freezing and uninstalling apps last night and must have removed something critical to the operating system. Now my phone will only load the Security Error screen with (authetication failure) in small print. i've been told that my phone isn't bricked but that i need to reflash the image. Im currently in Download mode but don't know what to do next. i have the rom image that i initially rooted the phone with. Thanks in Advance. peace

Kindle fire soft bricked

Hi guys. I bought an used kindle fire and I tried installing an android OS on it. I managed to root it just fine following this guy's instructions: htt ps://w ww.youtube. com/watch?v= hUW6KARo8Y4 (I separated the link because I'm a new user here and can't post external link)
But after the part where I have to do the fastboot it got stuck on the screen with the blue kindle fire logo screen without animation. I searched on the internet and I saw some people recommending restoring the system using the TWRP to what it was before the backup. I entered the TWRP menu by pressing the volume up button during the boot and choose the restore button. After that it rebooted once again but now it is stuck on the yellow kindle fire logo screen. Also I can't access the TWRP anymore and the computer won't recognize the device. When I connect the device to my PC turned off, for a brief moment a new device called "Android Phone" appears on the device manager, but it soon disappears. I tried reinstalling the drivers in it as I saw some people recommending but it also didn't work. I'm getting hopeless here, but I'm sure it has a way to be fixed. I'm not very experienced on rooting and hacking devices, before this one I only rooted a Samsung Galaxy Y. Any kind of help is welcome, I'm getting desperate 'cause I don't wanna throw in the trash a newly acquired tablet. Thanks in advance

my tablet still hangs on the Google logo for 3 days and rarely she walks normally hang some time. I can access the boatloader but not in recovery, I flash the tablet by other android version 4.4 but without result
has noted that the problem occurred android 5.1.1
