Confusion about what is in memory -> Greenify vs. Recents

Ok. I'm trying to improve performance, and evaluating memory and tools.

I have installed Greenify and set everything that is not necessary to be 'Greenified'.

So I can use Recents button, and clear all. Then load Greenify, so I have this in memory according to the Active Applications from recents:

Then checking Greenify, it will list some apps as "Will hibernate a few minutes after phone is off'. That implies to me that those apps are in memory, but then, they don't show up in recents:

And, I can shut the phone of for 5 mintues, and Greenify looks the same.

So are they in memory or not? Is Grennify not working correctly?

I wonder sometimes about these cleaning and memory management/app management apps whether they are really doing anything or not.

Maybe the confusion is a difference between being 'in memory' vs. 'active'.

Can anyone clear the fog?

New to Note 4 - Boot Loader / Root Confusion

I just picked up my Note 4 and have not even turned it on yet.
I have a few questions after reading various multi-page threads that i am unclear on.

I was looking at the threads and see that ChainFire is what to use to root.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...-root-t2897428
It states that Stock Recovery is installed, does this mean that I can use that recovery to flash TWRP or will i have to use ODIN for that?
What version of ODIN needs to be used?

Is there any version of Root that does not trip KNOX?

I am confused about the different boot loaders / Broadbands (basebands?).
How do I find out what boot loader / Broadband i am on?

I am reading a lot of reports that 5.x is giving very poor battery life. Is that the Case Still?

Thanks for any help Ya'll can give.

Kill switch confusion??

I have heard countless theory on how the kill switch works.
I have stated many times it's a serial/hardware Id kill or at least those have a lot to do with it.I've heard it's in the latest firmware but how would that work if you registered recall/downgraded to stock/then updated again. If it still gets killed at that point it's a serial based kill because how could nvidia keep track of these recalled tablets.Duhh serial/id,etc..not software the software comes equipped with the kill ..I think if we changed the serials or what not we could disappear of the radar for good or if we could at least bypass these recalled Id checks somehow.Any suggestions??ideas??
How about Nandroid backup of new tablet and installed on old ??idk:silly:
