We had been calling our "Note 4" by his wrong name.

Short thread, but I discovered it since the release of the Galaxy Note_5.
In fact, The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is called "Note4" without spaces within the Note word and the 4 number, just like the Note5. Just tap Settings, About Phone and look for the Device Name. If you're using an stock rom (or derivated from stock), you will notice that it says "Galaxy Note4". I think Samsung decided to change the name to close the gap with Galaxy S and A series (ie. Galaxy S6, A8 instead of S 6 or A 8).

Well, TL:DR: It's Note4 but we will write Note 4 forever. End of the Story :b

How do you feel about this app name??

How do you feel about this name "Hello Music Player"? I'm from Korea, so I don't know the impression of native English speakers as well. Is it familiar? Or is it stock? What is your honest opinion? I'm at a small startup in Korea, and we are going to decide the name of upcoming app. Please tell me how you feel. Thanks! :o

What's the name of the bootanimation.zips for the cx176?

I recently learned of how to make a bootanimation and deleted the old bootanimation.zips but now I just get the vanilla classic Android load despite having bootanimation.zip in the correct directory. I'm assuming I need to have it renamed to the original bootloader, it was bootanimationforeset something. The directory is system/media. Apologies for such a basic question.

Also does Xposed softbrick the cx176 on the first reboot after installation?

Is there a carrier name on retail-devices?

Hello members of XDA!

Yesterday, late in the evening, I flashed my Moto X XT052 back to stock. Because of my tiredness, I pasted some code in the terminal:

Code:

fastboot oem carrier config vzw

I set my carrier name to Verizon, by mistake. But the device itself is a retail device, with no branding or such stuff. So here comes my Question:
Is it possible, to erase the carrier name? Better: What is the default carrier name on retail devices, which are unbranded and habe no carrier? Do retail devices have a carrier name? If no, how can I get rid of my intellectual nonsense, I put in there?
In my tiredness, I forgot to check the setting of the carrier with

Code:

fastboot oem config carrier

This mistake of mine sucks, because in stock ROMs there will be whatever I described as carrier name added to the build version, and I don't know, if this could affect OTAs in the future. I'm back on CM12 right now, so it's not a big deal, but it's causing sleepless nights :)

So maybe, you people can help me out?

Kind regards

Caller name anouncer app

Could you offer me a caller name anouncer app which really works on Honor 6?
A tried a couple, but one didn't work either unfortunatelly...
At incoming calls there is only the ringtone.

I installed (and tried) from Google Play the following apps:
- Caller Name Anouncer
- Caller Name Speaker (from multiple developers under the same name)
- Caller Name, SMS & App Talker
