OnePlus One Photo recovery question (after unlock bootloader)

STRANGE BUT, when I recover photos from "userdata" partition with various recovery apps / PC software I get bunch of images but not one from camera.
If I edited/cropped or sent to email which caued photo to be saved by some other app it will be recovered. How is this so ???

-------------------------------------------------
Details : OnePlus One bought with CM11, OTA upgrade to CM12.
One day GSM radio stopped working. Its not SIM card isssue, or network coverage.
Tried varius stuff I could find, in desperation decided to make factory reset to see if it is helping, if not then flash OxygenOS and see if it is working.
So my **** up is that I remembered to backup photos after unlock bootloader which wiped the phone.
I tried various apps for recovery of photos directly on phone, then I tried Dr. Fone and EaseUS android recovery (only two that I found that can do recovery of lolipop OS with only Internal Storage), they require rooted phone and ADB interface, so I did everithing.
At the end I made DD raw copy of "userdata" partition and scanned on PC with Recuva, PhotoRec and at leaset thre others (ext4 specific)-
Every time I recovered more or less the same images and I get bunch of images but not one from camera.
What is s special about these files ????
They are just JPEGs on that same partition where recovery software found other files/images.

Saved FB Photo

Quick question. I want to factory reset my note 4. Its been sluggish and had a chance to play with a GS6 edge and love the snappiness of it. So, Its about time I cleaned up my note 4 and just do a factory reset. My problem is my pictures. I download FB pictures and would like to locate the folder these are saved in. Yes, they are backed up in google and I can find them, however I like the folder system of my note. The note puts everything in a specific folder. From regular folders, to messenger attachments, to FB pictures, camera, etc... So, I can locate pretty much everything else but the FB pictures. Anyone have any advice? I also looked on the SD card with to no avail.

How to upload a photo

I am trying to figure out how to upload a photo from my phone so that I can be able to put it into my thread/question I would like to start. I am using XDA Premium 4. My phone is a Galaxy S5 (G900A). I also tried to figure it out using the xda website, but I am not seeing a "browse button" or anywhere on the screen that says "manage attatchments". Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Jennifer

The photo is revised with CameraNext App

I got the CameraNextMod app from this forum. The interface is simple and cool, however, the photos I took were revised. I thought I could change this just for one parameter inside the app or CM11.
I am using the latest unofficial CM11 and I added the app as an attachment.

Different photo size with external softwares

Hello
I have Galaxy S6 920F 64GB with ISOCELL Sensor and I've noticed that there is a difference with the photos size at different external camera software like open camera or camera fv-5
for example:
in camera fv-5 with 100% photo quality in the settings and 16mpx I took a picture in the same position and light
and also with the stock camera I do the same with 16mpx and auto mode like fv-5

in fv-5 the size of the phone is 10mb and in stock camera on 5mb

can someone check with his own galaxy if he gets the same results?
maybe in the stock camera the camera is set to shot at lower photo quality percent like 90% or 95%
can it be?

please help :)

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini lost all photo and video

As the title says, the phone simply lost all photos and videos ever taken. It worked fine yesterday evening and photos and videos were taken, and then replayed an hour or so later. Yet now there are no photos or videos at all. Not from last evening, nor from before. I'm not the person using the phone, but apparently there was no notification or anything. Simply in the morning the pictures weren't there. The internal clock also reset itself, but all other apps, pictures and data are still in place and unchanged, so I don't think it could have been a factory reset. I'm also told that nothing was done on the phone that could have remotely cause this. All the pictures on the SD card which were put there manually are still there and accessible. Only the media in the DCIM folder (both on the phone's memory and the SD card) seems to have vanished entirely and without a trace. Most of the pictures weren't backed up anywhere (especially those taken the last few days or weeks, since others may or may not have been backed up somewhere), so I'm at a lost on how to proceed.

The android version is the stock version which came with the phone when it was new and the phone wasn't rooted. It didn't suffer any damage and aside from loosing the pictures is fully functional. I didn't try taking new pictures out of fear that I might overwrite old ones in the process, but the camera app loads normally and seems to work.

tl;dr: as the title says, a Samsung Galaxy S5 mini had all of the pictures and video taken by the stock camera app disappear without a trace overnight.

I'd appreciate any help on the matter.
