[Q] Adding apk with cache to ROM

Hello everyone!
I'm want to do such a trick - add some system apps to my ROM.
I've unpacked system.img, added .apk to /app/ and everything works.
But when I want to add some apks which need cache (.obb) - it fails - these apps don't work.
I've tried to add cache to /Android/data & /Android/cache in userdata.img - no changes, apps still don't work (but when I put .apk and .obb to userdata.img - everything is good, but I can't do any resets on my phone).

Is there a way to add .apk with cache to system.img to have a probability to reboot/reset phone and have those apps work?

Adding new lte bands

Has anyone had any success or failures trying to add more lte bands to desire 816 single SIM using the methods on here?

Sent from my HTC Desire 816 using XDA Premium HD app

Help with adding LTE bands

Alright I can't post links as I'm from my phone but I tried adding American lte bands to my D802, i tried calculating those numbers you need to write to the chip and also tried it with the number that turns everything on but with both tries I still only get refarmed 4G which sucks.

I can't buy a new phone but I want LTE and thought that you can add bands to Snapdragon chipsets.
If anyone could help me or enlighten me I would appreciate it alot.

Thanks in advance.

Adding AC3 support to stock video player / Allshare video streaming

Anyone had any luck adding support for AC3/DTS audio codecs to stock video player? I've tried methods in this thread, designed for 32-bit devices running KitKat, http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...-4-tw-t2964732, but it didn't do anything on my Galaxy S6 Edge.

Dice Player, MX Player of course have the necessary support for these codecs. But when it comes to streaming videos to TV via an Allshare Cast Wireless Hub, only the stock video player is able to play directly to TV "DLNA style", rather than just mirror screen. And that results in considerably smoother playback..

What's your best combination of software/hardware for streaming videos from your phone to TV?

Adding features to Roms?

Alright, I'm quite interested in building custom roms (I'm ready for the requisite "That's difficult you can't do it" type thing, however I can't learn unless you tell me what's up). Lets say I downloaded AOSP and I wanted say add the Cyanogen Theme Engine, or some feature from some random ROM, how would I do that? Git, Right? Probably, but how would I know what part to download? And once I do download it how would I implement it into AOSP? Also, is there a place where different ROM pieces are kept that I can download and add to my ROM?

I apologize for lack of terminology.
