Any suggestions how to reduce the battery drain...
Wifi or data are always on
Need help. Because I used this **** device for doing work...

HTC One M7 Stock Recovery Backup

Hi Guys
Im new here so I hope I wont mess things up too bad, by posting something in the wrong place or something like that :o
I have a question about my Htc One M7 and I have been googling all day and either there is no easy solution or I am not able to find it...
So hopefully you can help me :)

My Htc One is at the moment completely stock. All I did was unlocking the bootloader as described by the htc-dev website.
I want to make a backup of my Stock Recovery, before I flash a custom one.
I tried to use this Guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2265618 to achieve that.
In step 7/8 it states ("In the Command Prompt type following command: fastboot boot recovery.img (this command might not with newer hboots)") that I should be able to boot a recovery without flashing it. But it also says that it might not work with higher hboots.
It seems that it wont work with my Hboot 1.56 :(



Now my actual question: Is there any way to make a backup of the 100% Stock Recovery?
And please dont give me a link where i can download one, i would like to create a backup myself :D

Battery?

Anyone know where I can get a true OEM battery for the note edge? I'm not sure I want to trust some sellers off of ebay.

Is there any way to root and unlock bootloader

so i some posts on the forums and what i see is that there is no way to do it, is that true?

Help Unrooting And Getting To Stock FW WITHOUT ODIN

Ok, so i just got sent a refurbished note 4 and immediately i went ahead and rooted (didin't make a nandroid backup........I KNOW I KNOW! LESSON LEARNED :crying:) and installed custom rom. Problem is, my usb port decided it no longer wanted to work properly. It charges but VERY slowly and it doesn't register as a fast charger connected even though it is. My issue i'm running into now is that when i put it in download mode to try to make it completely stock through odin it doesn't recognize it at all on my pc, nor does it come up as usb storage. I know i can unroot using super su but what can i do about my bootloader, kernel and custom rom. I need it to go all the way back as close to stock as possible, i do understand that knox is tripped but i am not worried about that. Anybody have any ideas on how i can get back to stock fw without a usb connection. Just received my note 5 today and they are awaiting my note 4 in the mail. Can't send it back like this if i don't expect to pay for it. PLZ HELP ME :confused::confused::confused:

Battery Issues

I know a lot has been posted about the N7 2012 battery problems. There are two major issues that I have been dealing with for well over a year now.

1. It takes 8 + hours for my device to fully charge. depending on how low the battery is.

2. My device will not charge with the screen on. if I play a movie with it plugged in it will not even hold a charge. I use TomTom for GPS & this is extremely frustrating.

It has been documented that the USB port could be the cause of this. I did have the USB assembly replaced once on it back in March of 2014. Also had the mainboard replaced twice in the same time period. Those repairs were due to my device not being recognized by any computer. Even after this series of repairs my device had the same issues.

Has anyone replaced the battery because of a similar issue? I am half tempted to scrap it be Android 5.0 performance suck s for an Asus Zenpad.

[Q] Settings reset on reboot

Hello, I'm experiencing this strange behavior, my z3 "forget" some settings if I reboot it. For example if I set super-vivid screen color it goes back to none on reboot. It happens with Facebook password and other apps. It's stock just updated from 5.0 to 5.1, thank you all.
