Hello, I'm experiencing this strange behavior, my z3 "forget" some settings if I reboot it. For example if I set super-vivid screen color it goes back to none on reboot. It happens with Facebook password and other apps. It's stock just updated from 5.0 to 5.1, thank you all.
Hi Guys! I'm a new user of LG G3 dual LTE (D856) and so far I'm quite pleased with experience (coming from iphone 4s). My phone is running 5.0.1 android and not rooted. If someone has answers/solutions for following: * On every GPS activation there is a popup coming about sending geo-data to Google. Tick "don't show anymore" is available only with option - "allow forever". "Not now" is available only for single use, i.e. next time GPS is on this popup coming annoyingly again. I'm not a paranoiac, however why would I send to Google location of every toilet I visit? :cowboy: How to get rid of popup with avoiding sending any geo-data to Google? * is there internal android "settings" menu? There is LG settings and they are pretty good, but I can't find some properties seen on other android phones w/o shells?
I have a rooted ASUS Zenfone 5 (A501CG), Android 5.0 Lollipop. After my last upgrade (OTA, by the way) I had to perform a factory reset for personal reasons. Since then, I cannot input my APN settings manually. I get the following message: "APN settings are not available for this user". Googling the internetz and searching through these very forums came to no avail. I tried a new factory reset; then, I recursively changed ownership and permissions for /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony (acording to a thread at StackExchange, these files should belong to user radio and group radio, with chmod of at least 660). I also chow'd/chmodded /config/telephony, just in case... Nothing has worked and I still get the same message, rendering my 3G/HSPA+ services unreachable.
I am trying to customize the sound certain apps makes. Here's my dilemma. Say application X allows you to customize sounds/notifications in the specified application's settings, but application Y does not have that feature. However, if I want to change the sounds for application Y I need to change the entire system notification/sound. Is there anyway to customize/change ONLY application Y's sounds/notifications? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I purchased an unlocked Verizon LG G3. I am trying to figure out what APN settings to use. I have searched all over and various other threads suggests different settings. Here are the issues I have in most of the settings I've used: Poor signal, Internet but unable to download MMS, or no internet but text service. I also tried enabling roaming. So what settings do I use??
Here is what I have now:
Name: T-Mobile US LTE APN: fast.t-mobile.com Proxy: Not set Port: Not set Username: Not Set Password: Not Set Server:Not Set MMSC:Not Set MMS Proxy:Not set MCC:310 MNC:260 Authentication Type: Not set APN Type: not set APN Protocol:IPv4/IPv6
These settings give me service but I am getting between one to three bars. When I used to get full bars on my t-mobile g2.
Hi guys, is it possible to set up the LED notification light? It is blinking way too slowly when receiving new mail on gmail, when missed calls and sms. There is at least about 15 seconds between two flashes. I don't want to use apps for that. Is it possible? With root maybe?
I don't normally post in the forums however I figured this may be important. Lets hope that this time we may be able to get our bootloaders unlocked. :svetius:
Am I going crazy or does the two finger down swipe not work on this phone to open the quick settings panel? I can't find any way to enable the two finger swipe gesture. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hello today i come to you with a small problem in the S6 EDGE Sprint variant Model SM-G925P. As seen with the picture below the APN settings are unable to modified via the main system settings, now i didnt let this stop me i took the liberty on researching how to edit/create APNs via Buildprop Editor but no dice there as well seems as Sprint may have taken the extra step to prevent these changes from happening.
With this SS you can see that ADD is Grey'd out along with all the APNs Tht Came Stock on my Phone. forums.androidcentral.com/attachments/samsung-galaxy-s6-edge-rooting-roms-hacks/191943d1440004956t-apn-settings-blocked-change-sprint-11871950_10207507540157240_186704124_o.jpg

I am on stock kitkat ATT Lg optimus g pro e980, i cant boot into recovery or restore factory settings, all i get is Secure booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify but i can boot normally.....i have been able to boot into TWRP recovery and install a few custom roms some time ago, this problem started after i restored TWRP backup. I read somewhere that the bootloader is locked, i tried using freegee but it doesnt work when i start up freegee after selecting a rom it downloads and stays like this like forever when i minimize and go back to it
Recently I unlocked a note 4, but unfortunately I did not write the default value, in service mode.
Can someone with SM-N910F version, be so kind, to entering in service mode and tell me what is your settings? The default settings are the ones with an asterisk in between two brackets, as seen here (*) (Please do not change your option,)
to go into service mode,: in the phone dialer: * # 9090 # then press back button to cancel.
Everyone of us know that the Snapdragon 615 heats up a little bit ;) To avoid the high scaling an temperature just while browsing or idle I made some changes too the boot.sh file and want to share it with you. I'm running these settings now for about 2 weeks (CM12.1 and now PAC Rom) with RaZorReborn kernel, but it should work with other kernels Miui too!
To use this do the following steps:
1. Backup the stock "init.qcom.post_boot.sh" from /system/etc/ (for example with Root Explorer, just copy it to your SD card or PC...) 2. Download the attached file, unzip it, and place it in /system/etc/ (for example with Root Explorer) 3. Set permissions to rw-r--r-- 4. Reboot device and set CPU settings via app (min 200 MHz), ondemand governor, noop sheduler
I have changed the "init.qcom.post_boot.sh" in following points:
Code:
- cpu idle load thresholds - HMP scheduler (big.Little cluster related) settings - settings for perf cluster - settings for power cluster - setprop ro.min_freq
I am using a one of the Custom ROM's on Jellybean posted here on my Canvas 4 A210. As there are now KK ROM's available, I am planning to upgrade the same.
However, i really like the audio settings in the engineering mode in the current custom ROM. Is there any way I can back up those settings and then restore them after I flash the KK ROM :confused::confused:
Settings/Display/Sleep. It's always set on 1 minute, whether I change it or not. I've tried setting it to 5 mins and it goes right back to 1 min. None of my changes will stay. Always 1 min. My tab is not rooted and its up to date. I cannot find the answer anywhere. Any searches I make on Sleep never give me the correct search. I am at my wits end. It's extremely annoying when reading something and the display closes down. I always have to press the Power button to wake it up. Please give me some suggestions. Thanks:(:(
