Help - i9505 unable to restore from CWM backup

Hi all, I've got a stock i9505, rooted, with Philz Touch recovery & Lollipop (I9505XXUHOB7_I9505BTUHOB4_BTU).
I made a (no errors reported) backup & loaded up Resurection Remix ROM (Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.5.3-20150804-jfltexx) and GApps (gapps-lp-20141109-signed) and all seemed OK.
I then decided to go back to Lollipop & thats when things started falling apart - I did what seemed a successful restore from the backup but when it rebooted, it initially gave the error about fixing permissions so I flashed TWRP & fixed that & ever since, it went into a boot loop (I think - I'm a bit new at this) at the point where the Samsung logo is still up & the stars are pinging out. Never moves on from this.
I then thought I'd take it back to stock & re-flashed Lollipop, did the root & reloaded Philz Touch & tried another restore - same thing.

I then tried CWM to see if that would do a decent restore but still no joy.

I wonder if my backup has been corrupted?
I can get it up & running but I'd like to be able to access all my backed up data etc.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to to a custom restore (in Philz) as I'm not sure what to restore & what to leave!
Can anyone help?

Hello everybody, i have the galaxy s4 and installed the latest rom (5.8.14). But this rom cant find the sim card because it cant identify the imei... How can i solve the problem? ( i have no simlock or something else)

[Q] i9505 won't boot up after successful Odin

It has never been flashed (that I know of) and was updated to latest stock update prior to this happening.

Got stuck on samsung logo, i flashed via Odin all went well but it still doesn't boot up. it just trys to boot to recovery

does anybody know why

Hi guys!

The sound started playing 2-3 days ago everytime i power my screen on.
The sound in question

Its not the lockscreen, i dont remember to install any new apk.
The issue is also linked with the infrared sensor not working properly. When im calling someone the screen flashes near my ear (the screen is not black)

Do you know whats causing it?

S4 i9505 cm 12.1 memory problem

When I boot my phone I have above 1000mb of ram, then some apps start running and etc, it drops to like 700mb and stays for some time but sometimes it drops to 200mb or less for no reason and my phone starts overheating and only a reboot helps, battery goes down very fast but nothing is using it too much

i9505 Crashes after Display turnes off (happens with every ROM)

Hi everyone,
i have a very strange problem, my Phone crashes after a few Minutes after the Display goes off. This even happens in the Recovery, and with every ROM i tried including stock.
2-3 months ago i had to replace the whole LCD/Touch Front, but after that it worked flawlessly until i left it at a friends house for 2 weeks.
Since i got it back it has this strange problem. He said he did nothing to the phone, there are no visible dents etc.
Last night i plugged in the USB Cable, startet a 24h youtube Video and in the morning it was still playing, i stopped the Movie, the phone Display turned off and 2 Minutes later it had already crashed.
I had to press the Power Button for a few seconds to turn it off. The again to turn it back on.

It seems to crash when the power consumption goes down, e.g. when listening to Music in the background it took a 1/2 h for it to crash instead of 1-2 Minutes.

Could this be the battery even though i can still play movies for hours on one charge?
Btw, the Battery still locks normal.

Problem with a gt i9505 GALAXY S4 PLZ HELP...

My s4 is rooted. The problem is that after some flashing of custom roms my 4g/3g is not working properly . In other words, in all roms above jellybean ( kitkat and lollipop) my LTE and 3G is working only for 1-2 minutes and then my signal drops to zero no signal at all. When i switch to GSM signal comes imidiatelly to full! I have searched a lot in this forum , I have tried many times to change modem , CSC using ODIN ofc, but no succeess so far.. I dont know what else to try or to do differently...I also tried to flash the stock modem but still no success... I would like to add that in 90% of roms that i have tried so far my WIFI , and everything else is working normally ... My only issue is what i had mentioned before...PLZ help me.. I DONT KNOW WHERE TO REFER TO IN THIS SITE...

[Help] - Lost Root, unable to reroot - I9505

Hi Guys,

i have spent the last week looking around for information and i cant find a fix, wondering if people could help please!

Im a long time user of custom roms, have had customs on the HTC Hero, S3 and now my S4... and i had the CM12.1 nightlies installed, running TWRP and the CF AUto Root.

It ran perfectly for a few weeks or so, even with the OTA updates you get.

I woke up the other morning to the phone misbehaving so i thought i would check and now i dont have Root access at all. Super SU, TWRP and even root checker all confirm no root access.

I have wiped the phone, reinstalled root, then TWRP and then the latest CM12.1 nightly and whilst it boots into the OS, i still dont have root.

Can anyone assist please? no root seems to cause hell!
