Restore Stock Samsung APPs on Galaxy Tab 10.1 4.4.2

Hi all,

I used Titanium backup to clean and remove bloatware from my mother tablet (GT-P5200)...
Model : GT-P5200
Android : 4.4.2
Bande : P5200XXUBNK1
Version : KOT49H.P5200XXUBNL1

Shame on me, I didn't make backup for some applications like : My Files and Gallery...

And of course, first reaction of my mother was : Oh finally, i prefer "Gallery" to "QuickPic", and I dislike VLC, I prefer "My Files" to access to my videos... Grrrr

I tried to make a backup with Titanium from a Tab 10.1, model GT-P5210, but don't work
I tried to find the two APK on Samsung Store, Internet... but nothing...

On a french forum, users tells me to mount the original stock ROM with an utilitary, and make a copy of the two APK, but actually, I don't find some APK called "Gallery.apk" or "MyFiles.apk" in "/app" tree.

So I make a try here :D
Somebody could make a Titanium backup with "Gallery" and "My Files" and send it to me ? Or a copy of the two missing APK...
Thanks :)

Help needed - Black Camera after restore

It's the LTE-A version of Z3C (D5803), which shows the following issue:

What I've done so far:

Open Bootloader on all of our 5 Z3C.
Installed this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=336
Rooted phone
Installed recovery and SuperSU
Then configured installed and configured all apps on NO1-"prototype" where everything works fine up to now.
Then entered recovery and did complete backup onto SD1.
Entered recovery on all other 4 Z3C and did a complete restore.

On all 4 copies the camera app will open but only with total black screen while the original (first one) works normally. Tried to get rid of this issue by changing settings, delete all camera data and even transfer the camera apps via Titanium Backup separately from the working prototype to one of the copies - unfortunately without any success.

How can I resolve this problem?

Device backup not showing in restore options

Hi,

I have a very frustrating problem. I have an NVIDIA Shield tablet that has been recalled due to a battery problem. I have the replacement tablet here and when I go through trying to set it up I do not see the backup of the old tablet as an available source to restore onto the new tablet.

I have verified that Android Device Manager is enabled AND that my old tablet shows up in my Google account. I can also locate the device from my Google account.

Even with all of that working, I still do not see my old tablet listed as a source to restore onto my new tablet. (I do see several other Android devices that I own in the list.)

I have attempted clearing the cache from Google Play Services but that did not work either. I also thought that maybe I was missing an update to Google Play Services but I can't seem to find it in the store.

Would appreciate any suggestions!

TIA!

Can I restore apps from another phone to fix this boot loop?

I have one Kyocera Hydro Icon that I rooted using Root Genius, and after deleting a system apps my phone now reboots like 10 seconds after boot if it is not in airplane mode. I purchased a second Kyocera Hydro Icon and rooted it with Bin4ry Root. I would like to know if there is a way I can copy everything from the new phone to the old one, and if this would restore functionality to my phone?

Pro 8.4 Recent Restore Problem

Hey all,

I hope this is the right place to post this in. I recently restored my galaxy tab pro 8.4 using a backup I had with TWRP. However it seems like now whenever I boot it up the whole screen is black and says Unfortunately, *process (literally everything use your imagination)* has stopped.
What can I do to fix this? (Trying to flash stock with odin but it doesn't seem to work and I can't find the stock firmware for it)

Thanks for your time,
5oviet

Help - i9505 unable to restore from CWM backup

Hi all, I've got a stock i9505, rooted, with Philz Touch recovery & Lollipop (I9505XXUHOB7_I9505BTUHOB4_BTU).
I made a (no errors reported) backup & loaded up Resurection Remix ROM (Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.5.3-20150804-jfltexx) and GApps (gapps-lp-20141109-signed) and all seemed OK.
I then decided to go back to Lollipop & thats when things started falling apart - I did what seemed a successful restore from the backup but when it rebooted, it initially gave the error about fixing permissions so I flashed TWRP & fixed that & ever since, it went into a boot loop (I think - I'm a bit new at this) at the point where the Samsung logo is still up & the stars are pinging out. Never moves on from this.
I then thought I'd take it back to stock & re-flashed Lollipop, did the root & reloaded Philz Touch & tried another restore - same thing.

I then tried CWM to see if that would do a decent restore but still no joy.

I wonder if my backup has been corrupted?
I can get it up & running but I'd like to be able to access all my backed up data etc.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to to a custom restore (in Philz) as I'm not sure what to restore & what to leave!
Can anyone help?
Kind regards,
Nic

How to restore data from a damaged SIII

Dears,
I have a Samsung SIII mobile which for some reason stopped working, i cannot turn it on, i sent it to one of the biggest stores in here to fix it, they tried all things with no hope, they say they should change the hard disk to bring it back on, which is not a valid option for me since i need the information to be restored, my question here is there any way by which i can get the information directly from the hard disk on this SIII, and if yes, how?

Thanks in advance.

Stuck Searching for updates after restore

So, after being rooted for a bit, i decided to do some things that ultimately messed up my phone a bit. so instead of trying the numerous fixes for the problem, i decided to do a factory restore. it goes off fine, and brings me to the setup. i connect to my wifi and now its searching for updates. i figured it would take a bit so i went off and did some other things while the phone was on my desk. now about an hour and a half later its still checking for updates. my only options is to go back, which yields no other options, or to skip, but the skip is greyed out and i cant press it. so im stuck in the software update screen while it forever checks for updates and i cant get out of it. Ive restarted a few times and also shut it off for a bit, but still its stuck on this screen.:confused::confused::confused:

[HELP] Restore the stock gallery app

Hi,

I removed/uninstalled the stock gallery app. Even though I have google photo installed, I got an error message when I try to access gallery by clicking the gallery icon in the samsung stock camera app. I also could not set the wallpaper for the lock screen, as when I click the gallery icon in the setting screen, it gave me similar error message saying "app not installed". Could someone tell me how I could restore the stock gallery app, or change the default app to google photo (preferred option)? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Cant restore please help!

Please if someone can take the time to help me save a lot of time.

So I had to restore my Nexus 6 back to stock from CM12 to unlock the phone so I could start using Project Fi. So I went back set it up and was ready to restore back to cm12. Well every time I try to go back to one of my updates it runs for maybe a min and then the phone restarts and then just stays on start up screen without starting up.

this has nothing to do with the unlocking of the phone because 2 months ago when I needed to restore from cm12 it did the same thing!

So why cant I restore using twarp on my device and what do I have to do to get back my restore.
also when I try to just reload cm12 it fails .

PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE! LOL

How to Restore Original Camera & Gallery

I have a rooted S3 running stock 4.1.2. I recently installed the Note 2 Camera on my device but did not back anything up (stupid I know). Well, now the camera works (barely) but is very glichy. I get areas of photos grayed out camera stops from time to time and i get error messages. Anyway, I did the switch to get the slow motion, which isn't very good anyway, so I'd like to just restore my camera back to it's original state.

What files do I need and where can I get them? Where do I install them once I have them? Any help would be appreciated.

Basically, to insall the Note 2 camera I had to use ES File Explorer to copy and paste files into the Device/system/app folder. Not sure if I can just delete those files and replace them with the originals? Also, I do not remember which ones were deleted during the process.

Thanks in advance for any help!

How to restore to stock ROM on international version to receive OTA updates

A while back, I rooted my HTC One M8 and loaded TWRP in an attempt to turn it into a GPE phone. But, since Firewater was discontinued and SunShine is incompatible with my phone, I couldn't gain S-off and was never able to get Lollipop. Now, I'd like to unroot my phone to receive the OTA update of Lollipop. I checked the mega RUU/OTA/Backups thread to find a backup with my CID and version-main number but was unable to find one that matched. I also don't have a backup of my own. Is there any way to restore my M8 to stock factory settings and get Lollipop?

Relevant info:
CID#: HTC__621
version-main: 3.28.709.6
Android version: 4.4.4

How Can I restore to stock image ??

Hello, I have a Sprint HTC One M9. I just have unlocked it with help from @stifilz (Thank you!)

He has asked me to Downgrade to 5.0 with Bad Boyz V1.1 Since the phone is S-ON and had version 5.1

Everything was fine, I Downgraded the version to 5.0 and he Unlocked successfully my phone. However I experienced an issue. it started powering off by itself everytime when the phone goes standby. He told me.. it's because that I have a 5.1 kernel on 5.0.2 rom that's the reason.

Indeed, when I installed the latest version of Bad Boyz which is 2.6.651.11 ( 5.1 ) the issue gone. However, I experienced another issue: it keeps telling me an error after the boot finishes: "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"
I click OK, but it keeps showing all the time

Now, I want to restore it to stock image of 5.0.2 then update it officially to 5.1

He told me to Install this : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934554226
He also told me that there are many ways should help including to restore the system.img (4Gb+) But, he is not sure about it.

So, I thought to ask you guys ??

Thanks in advance.

How to Restore Amazon Update?

I followed this thread, had everything going well, but then I began having strange issues with my device. I tried to clear VireLauncherPro's cache, but then that screwed up my Google store. I tried to restore it via the tips at the end of the linked guide, but VireLauncherPro began to act erratic, and the Play Store began to cease working again.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire...ustom-t3113311

Now I want to update back to 5.x and start the process all over again as a factory reset still leaves left over from Google Play and such, preventing me to do the hack from 4.x.
Thanks in advance.
