samsung galaxy s4 i9500 having problem after upgrading to lollipop 5.0.1

hi guys i m using the Samsung galaxy S4 i9500 I dont have any knowledge about rooting of device . I m here to know that my phone is having issues after upgrading to android lollipop 5.0.1 the issues are like hanging,battery drain,app crash, etc so i want to know that does the rooting solve my issue If does then please suggest me what mod should i go for i also dont know which build is to use 11 or 12 so please help me with this :):)

install stock i9500 camera on CM based ROM.

I have the i9500 deep black edition and currently using with GEARCM 12.1. IS there any way I could flash the stock camera to this build. (or the stock cam of any flagship likeSamsung phone like the note series etc.) The Google cam is way too minimal.

[Help] Custom Boot Animation on Stock Lollipop (5.0.1) for i9500

Hi, I want to flash a custom boot animation but placing the bootanimation.zip in /system/media and setting the permissions to rw-r--r-- is not doing the trick.

There are no versions of BootAnimationEnabler scripts that I could find for lollipop. If anyone has the scripts for lollipop, kindly share them.

Suggestions required for simple and stable ROM for I9500

Hello everyone

I have a I9500 with Exynos processor running android 5.0.1, Baseband- I9500DDUHOA1, Build number- XXUHOF3.

I was generally happy with My phone but all hell broke lose after last update. Battery life doesnt last more than 2-3 hours. GPS doesnt lock at all. The phone hangs too much. Wifi signal is poor.

I can factory reset the phone (Since I didnt do it since several OTA updates) but I am wondering even that might not solve the problem and I should flash some good and stable ROM.

My issue is I Dont Know which one is a good and stable ROM. There are so many options and I feel very lost. Therefore I would be thankful if anyone can guide Me to which ROM should I install. My goal is simple- a fast working stable phone. Nothing fancy required.

I have flashed ROMS on My earlier phone Galaxy S (I9000) so I am not a novice and can do it if instructions are provided in the thread.

s4 i9500 Charging issue on AC (Wall Charger)

Dear Developers,
for the last 3 to 4 days i have been facing a strange issue my S4 is not charging with wall charger but it charges on laptop that is a bit slow
I couldn't understand what's the issue i was using custom rom but after this issue i revert back to Stock rom and the issue is still present. I have tried different chargers and adapters but no success.
I searched on internet and found many ppl were facing the same issue but couldn't find the solution.
- I tried Flashing the ROM again
- turning Off developers Mode help me a bit it charges for some time but again stopped charging.
I got icon of charging on screen but in actual it isn't charging.
I am guessing it's a ROM or software issue otherwise if it was hardware then it won't charge at all.

Please suggest Solution for this Plz:confused::confused:

S4 i9500 efs mount problem

My Phone is S4 i9500. I installed the program called SWAPPER. After changing some preferances i run the program and phone shut down. When i start the phone again it stuck on GALAXY S4 Logo. I enter the Recovery mod i realized that error ''not mount efs''.
I know the problem. I remember that SWAPPER use ''mmcblkop3'' as default and i forget to change before it run and SWAPPER formatted the place ''mmcblkop3'' as swappfile format. It means that the places containing efs information formatted.
I install the stoch firmware and using ADB shell and made system working but IMEI is like 0049........ Everything works normally including wifi but phone does not.
1-First of all i need to mount EFS folder. I read many forums but anyhow i coud not mount efs folder. Does someone knows how to efs is mounted? To mount efs can we use ODIN ? and how?
2- Then after i need information to save my original IMEI and the t info to use phone normally.

I will be pleased if someone help me.
