samsung galaxy s4 i9500 having problem after upgrading to lollipop 5.0.1

hi guys i m using the Samsung galaxy S4 i9500 I dont have any knowledge about rooting of device . I m here to know that my phone is having issues after upgrading to android lollipop 5.0.1 the issues are like hanging,battery drain,app crash, etc so i want to know that does the rooting solve my issue If does then please suggest me what mod should i go for i also dont know which build is to use 11 or 12 so please help me with this :):)

did some research found a way to unbrick it. once it was unbricked the wifi and data didnt work and i noticed
the version downgraded to 4.3. i fixed the APN settings and got my data to work. so then i used safe root to root my
phone successfuly but the wifi still doesnt turn on. i've tried multiple things nothing worked even soft bricked my phone again
had to repeat that whole thing once before if someone can please help me fix my wifi i would greatly appreciate it thanks.

Anybody having these issues on latest update?

On the latest update things are pretty good, almost everything is improved.

But very randomly my system will crash and then briefly shows what I was doing before loading into the lock screen, and it will also not keep my wallpaper. Every time I reboot its back to stock wallpaper.

Otherwise the phone is much better and smoother.

Any ideas?

Seems to glitch the most when I'm using hangouts or I receive a hangouts notification.

Am I the only one having horrible multitasking issues?

Seriously, I cant even keep two chrome tabs open at any time. Once I switch back, the page needs to refresh. (even withother lightweight browsers).
Sometimes the keyboard wont open because there isnt enough RAM.
My launcher needs to redraw EVERYTIME I exit any app.
Am I the only one with these issues or is it just the phone at the end of its life?
Im currently on Archidroid 3.0.0 with the ArchiKernel.
Any suggestions on fixing this?

Having connectivity issues...

I was playing Google Play Music the other day (despite the ugly interface during playback) and after 1 song it quit playing. I hit play on a bunch of other songs and nothing happened.

Then I tried opening Pandora and it froze on the splash screen.

The voice search function send to not work 70% of the time and recognition is poor when it does work.

Are these common problems?

Having a real hard time trying NOT to default APPS

Samsung has removed the option to use an app "just once" or " always" when there are more choice to run a program. .
Example: certain email links I would like to open with chrome instead of Internet.
Or: click to call defaults to phone all the time, but sometimes I have to use my viop app, Ringcentral.
Once an app has been selected it becomes default.
Any alternatives I can try?

(Urgent) Having problem in mi3

This karunesh, I am using mi3 for almost one year but now it started giving me trouble. Few days back it started having problem in connecting to local carrier. Whenever it's upper part is covered or in some place like under the table or bed or any basement or conference hall it always showed no network... I decided went to service center and I went, then they just wiped all the data and gave back it to me in the condition in which I purchased it and said that the last update given to it wasn't not supporting, as there are some problem in last update try to update when next update will come and I also asked them to check it's volume rocker and power button and he cleaned it in front of me... Now it has been three days since I am using it and yesterday night my network went again... And I am also having a problem with wifi after I visited service center , wifi signal that it catches is very weak, earlier it was not like this... Hence, guys please tell me, what could be the problem regarding these issue.. Is this really a software issue or there is something wrong in my phone's hardware.. What could be the reason of weak wifi signal... Sometime it is almost gone earlier it never happened to me it just started after I visited service center....

Is having the screen unlocked and on on your phone required for AW play music command

I am not sure if this is an issue I'm having or if it's intended, but whenever I tell my watch to play music on my phone, the music will not start until I turn my phone's display on and/or unlock it. Is this intentional?

unable to factory reset after having twrp and roms installed..

Does anyone know what is wrong here? I wanted to get back to stock by flashing Amazon's stock .bin (changed to .zip) in twrp. I've done this before and had no issues. In twrp I wiped everything and then flashed the .zip. Then I booted into the Amazon OS and everything appeared fine. I'm on 14.3.2.5. For one, I cannot factory reset. After trying to do so, it reboots to the Kindle logo and just permanently hangs there. If I try to update it manually to 14.4.5.5, once again, it just hangs on the Kindle logo. It appears I have no recovery or something. What I don't understand is that I've done this in the past with no issue. Where I am now is that I am able to boot without issue into 14.3.2.5, but cannot update. What can I do?

Having troubles installing custom rom (Resurrection remix 5.1.1)

I haven't installed any custom rom before so I tried to do it without making a nandroid backup and I might have not particular attention to some key instructions for HTC devices before installing. It is s-on, when I try to root from recovery it just reboots(can't get in the system now since I damaged it trying to install rom). What do I have to do, bootloader is unlocked, when I try to install rom it says the recovery is using the new storage layout layout and your rom is not. I have tried finding old storage layout recoveries but when I flash them, it doesn't boot to recovery.

Phone just crashed and now having problems booting up

So I'm here at work.. working with my phone plugged in, charging, doing it's thing which shouldn't be much when I look over at it there's a bunch of "application x has crashed" and then reboots. Except it only sort of reboots. It sometimes hangs on the reboot, and if I reboot it 3-4 times it might come up into the OS but then all those messages appear again and it'll reboot itself.

I don't think I've installed anything crazy recently and blocked updates a long time ago when I got it, and am rooted with TeamWin recovery on it. I go into recovery and do a fix permissions and permissions and I get a bunch of errors to the effect of "e: xml error parsing file"

I do see that I have a nandroid backup from about 3 months ago that I might just have to try restore, but it's just weird that it seems like the phone just crashed itself. Can anyone think of any options I can try before I do that?

Also I don't think the phone has ever been updated since I got it as I froze/killed that process. Should I try upgrading to the latest? Are there big fixes/security issues that I should be concerned with that would make me want to upgrade?
