Dead Gear S: suggestions?
My Gear S died on me today.
Went running for first time with Gear S. Turned on GPS and tracking worked fine. About 50% battery at start of run.
About 1 hour later hit button on watch and no response. Thought it was strange, but thought battery died. Put on charger for several hours, but charge indicator didn't light up.
Held button for 30 seconds and 1 minute to see if it would reset. No response at all. Attached to several other cables and charge plugs plus PC USB port. Nothing worked.
Got this through eBay Buy.com deal two months ago. Not sure about warranty.
Any suggestions appreciated. Hate to see 0 go down the drain. Plus I like this watch!

Galaxy Gear Live Incorrect Time
My Gear Live will not sync the proper time from my Galaxy S6. It worked fine for the first couple of weeks I owned it, but the battery ran out on me yesterday, and this morning, after charging, I noticed the watch was 5 minutes slow compared to the time on the phone, internet, etc. I tried manually adjusting the time on my phone, but the 5 minutes off continued. I could change the time zone on my phone and the watch would change to the correct hour, but the minutes continued to remain 5 minutes off. It's driving me nuts. I did a factory reset on the watch but the 5 minutes off still remains. I've tried numerous watch faces and pushed them out to the watch, but no luck. It's updated to the newest versions of Google Play Services 7.8.99 and Android OS 5.1.1.
Any ideas?

3rd Party SMS with Gear S
Hello everyone! I'm new here :)
I had a question before purchasing the Gear S... I have a Galaxy S5 and I use Textra for my SMS app and I love it. I was wondering if the Texting feature on the Gear S can go though Textra or will it make me use the Default SMS app that same with my S5?
If it does require me to use the default app. Can I install Fleksy Messenger like I did on my old Gear 2 to replace the default SMS app on the Gear S?
Thanks :)

If this is the best new thing in your Smartwatch lineup, i think I'll pass and stick with my Biktor_gj Gear S. Stop copying apple. Stop forcing Tizen on your users. And please stop tying us down to Samsung phones with your watches. I use to be a HUGE Samsung supporter and loyal customer, but I'm really starting to look at other options. I'm really not liking their strategy/ agenda/ motives/ business model this year. :(

GPA / Turn by turn with Gear 1
Is there any new development for the Turn by Turn notifications for the Gear 1. I have been trying to install the DMA Navi but it is unsuccessful (it installs then un-installs itself). I was just curious if there was any other options. I have been away from Gear Development for about a year now but am back to wearing the watch and just curious to what is new. Is there anything else going on that has been developed for the Gear 1 in the last 6 months or so that I am missing out on? I have the latest Tizen 3.0 flashed currently.

Gear S bought in US not working on GSM Europe
I bought a Samsung Gear S in the US (Full unlocked) Model Number: SM-R750A, Software version: R750AUCU1AOB1. It works OK on everything except for GSM. I put my carrier SIM card on it but it has no connection. I checked and found that my Gear S works on GSM 850/1900. I think that this should be changed to GSM 900/1800 to work in my country (Europe).
Anyone any idea???

Is the LG G4 compatible with the Samsung Gear 2 Neo?
Hi.
I'm looking for a smartwatch that can track my activity, allow me to see notifications easier and listen to music.
Don't really need any Top of the Tops in terms of smartwatches.
I found the Gear 2 Neo a very interesting piece of equipment, but since it has it's own Tizen S.O., I don't know if it will be compatible with the LG G4.
Can anyone tell me if it will be?
I've read some topics regarding the relation between the Gear 2 Neo and the LG G3....and some say it works flawlessly...other don't.
Thanks in advance for your regards

Klokker, a new app for the Gear S
Hi everyone,
I'm very excited to announce my Klokker app for the Gear S in the Samsung Apps Store.
The Gear S is an impressive hardware masterpiece that the only thing it needs are fancy apps.
Klokker is an information safe repository especially designed for Samsung Gear S smartwatches.
You can store in your Gear S valuable information sometimes difficult to remember like your car insurance number, your passport number, your VISA card number or your bank account number. This information is protected under a password or passcode to avoid non-authorized access.
I really like my Gear S and I'm working very hard on several ideas to bring new apps to this smartwatch. I'm not only working hard, I'm working with illusion. I'm posting this announcement here because I know I will receive feedback about my work. I want to make the Gear S something really useful in our lives, something that can help us or solve some of our daily life problems.
I'm focused primarily on standalone applications. Companion apps are cool, but I wanna make the Gear S as much independent as I can. In fact, the Gear S is the most independent smartwatch of all. So I'm not following a wrong approach right now.
I will populate my Facebook page, my blog in Tumblr and my Youtube channel with more information in the next days. If you would like follow me on Twitter @jmaWapps to keep in touch with all my projects.
Take a look at my support site at ayalawilson.com or look for Klokker in the Samsung Apps store.
Your feedback will be really valuable for me.
Thank you very much in advanced and I hope you like my app!

[DEV] Gear S: Android Port
Given that all the other threads were about how amazing it would be to run Android on the Gear S and I'm actually trying, I though it was time for a new thread.
This thread is about development of Android Wear for Gear S
DISCLAIMER
NOTICE: THIS IS ONLY FOR GSM VERSIONS WITH UNLOCKED BOOTLOADERS. I DON'T KNOW IF VERIZON'S CDMA VERSION WILL BE LOCKED, BUT AT&T VERSION IS, SO NONE OF THIS WILL WORK. YOU WILL GET AN AUTH FAIL IN ODIN IF YOU TRY TO FLASH IT, AND IF YOU'RE STUBBORN, YOU WILL GET A BOOTLOADER ERROR MESSAGE SAYING THE DEVICE HAS BEEN TAMPERED WITH.
Current development stage
Kernel:: Working on it. Patched framebuffer, added android modules, fixed scheduler incompatibilities with ADB building in AOSP tree. A lot of work to do
GITHUB REPO: Github Android Gear S Kernel Repository (also called Ponte Solo)
Recovery:: Recovery boots and ADB is available. The recovery binary drops a Segmentation Fault when trying to open the framebuffer (no idea why, both CM's and TWRP drop it)
Android: Not booting. It starts to boot but gets in an endless boot with the bootanimation going on an on...
PROGRESS AND BOOT IMAGES WILL GO HERE... WHEN THEY ARE READY!
