Overheating After Battery Replacement And Indicator

Let me start by saying I was plagued with the dreaded lollipop battery problem, I had my phone charged to 100% then it used to drain to about 50-65% then die. I handed my phone into a local phone repair shop, they had it for 2 weeks, I went down to see how much longer they were going to take to repair it, they told me that they replaced the battery and the problem was still there, they said they tested the phone as well and charged me for what work they did. I suppose the problem I had there, is how would they test my phone as my phone had a key lock on at star tup?

Anyway I bought a new battery from Amazon, as they never fitted the back cover on properly I was able to take it off with ease, so today 22/08/15 I received the new battery and have installed it, (touching wood) the battery at the moment, is holding charged, since I installed it then used the companion app to repair my phone and unfortunately forgot to wipe my phone, but that's ok.

Now if I do too much like re-install all apps or play a game the phone overheats real bad and drains the battery, I have also found out that the battery is not the problem, its what's under the two metal parts above the battery, both the front and back screens overheat to an extent where I have to turn the screen off to let it all cool down. I have also now noticed since repairing the phone using PCC that the red/orange indicator light stays on.

Overheating Nexus 4

I would first like to say that I understand that there are other thread out there on the subject of overheating. However most of the threads involve users with rooted phones and most of those threads are a year or two outdated.

I Have a Nexus 4 16Gb that was purchased 9-10 months ago Manufacturer refurbished ( Not bought through google however ) for my father who has used the phone for a majority of that time. Just recently it was given down to me as an upgrade ( I had a horrible phone prior ). As my father was not using the phone for anything intensive at all or using it for more than 5 minutes at a time the overheating issue didn't affect him much. Shortly after I started using the phone, the overheating issue really became a nuisance. I decided to run some benchmarks on the phone and track how hot it gets.

The first picture shows a peak cpu temp of 86 Degrees C, after running Antutu5.7.1
Second pic shows a peak cpu temp of 97 Degrees C!!!, after running antutu a 2nd time
Third pic shows a peak cpu temp of 91 Degrees C, after playing Fifa 15 for 10mins. BTW: I was solely in the transfer market during that time, not even playing a game which would really put the cpu to work
All of this data comes from indoors with the AC on

The phone idles in the low to mid 40s, light internet browsing will get it to 54-57 degrees ( However use it for more than 10mins and it will hit 62-63 very quick ), and youtube at 63-65 after 3 mins

The phone is not rooted and is running a flashed image of 4.4.4 directly from google, However it was having issues before the phone was upgraded past jelly bean.

I cant imagine this is normal, is it?
What can I do to get it to run cooler?
How much will undervolting/underclocking help? (and how much will it hurt performance)
Is it time to Just upgrade once again?
Also can anyone point me in the right direction to a thread that will help me fix the problem hardware wise as I am replacing the battery because it cant hold a charge, maybe I should go a little deeper and give it some thermal help.

New Note 5 Overheating Warning.

Received my new Verizon Note 5 today.Before I could even get my google account setup I get a popup saying closing apps to cool down.Then a this device is shutting down warning.The phone is not even warm to the touch.Chated with Verizon since I billed to my account they wanted me to pay for a new one to be sent out then credit my card back.Told them to call my local store and have a replacement ready in the morning and I would go swap it out.40 mile trip each way.They did give me a credit on my account for the fuel and trouble.
I think I am going to like it if I can get a good one.

Z3C Overheating and Batt Temp 40*C!

So my Z3C has huge problems with battery past days, It gets really HOT at 38 to 40*c. It doesn't go down below 35*C! It drains of the battery real hard, talking about drain every 2mins it goes down 1%! just by leaving the screen on, when browsing or doing something it raises upto 37*C and it becomes a nightmare.
I'm using carbon ROM with kernel auditor to settle my battery to balance. Does anyone know how i can get rid of this battery issue? with kernel auditor or something?
(Sony devices have overheating problems) Also even when using stock kitkat or lollipop the battery is crap. My phone is new not old.

Fixed screen, at first green light on charge, now not booting and overheating charge

Hi today i got my nexus 6 back, after a smashed screen, i put it on charge and at first i had the green light in the speaker grill, then after a few minutes that light went out and nothing much happened when i tried to turn it on, i left it to charge for a while and when i went to check on the phone, it was getting quite hot (probably as hot as it would on heavy gaming).

Basically i don't know the issue here, im hoping it is a minor thing as at first something did happen, then the overheating with nothing happening. Do you reckon this is done for, or it is saveable?

Overheating and SD810 bashing - nothing more then a myth?

I know that there is a "Overheating" - Thread but I opened this thread mainly because my experience so far with this device differs extremely from the things you gotta hear and read in Reviews.

I have my Z3+ for about 10 Days now and I didn't run in any troubles at this time. No single "Overheating"-Issue. No problemes with camera [oh wait, i didn't done 10 Antutu runs and then tried to record an hour of 4k video. maybe because of this?]

As I got my Device I did at first the OTA, then a Repair trough the PC-Companion like one User suggested here and I'm perfectly fine. When I read at xda there seems to be a genereal "Snapdragon 810" - Bashing. I mean performance wise the SD810 ist just for the Moment on a really top Level. I even get really good battery Life after i dealt with some problems where Sony isn't the one to blame (Google fix this mobile radio active bug...).

Yeah it might get hot under certain Circumstances but my i9100 gets alot hotter when i'm using it like my Z3+. So whats the point of the moans? I really don't get it. Seems for me like a ****storm simply caused by negative reviews and most of other users chiming in -.-

Whats your opinion / Expierence ? I hope you all get the point because english isn't my first language ;)

my s6 edge having a usb connection problem and overheating

when I connect my phone to my laptop by usb conn.
it gives me connected, few seconds later it's not
bad problem, I can hardly transfer file between my laptop and my phone
I noticed the problem after the lollipop 5.1.1 update
I checked the usb cable on another device it works well
and another problem is overheating
when I put the phone to charging it overheats even if I'm not using

G2 Overheating - Fix for it? (D800)

I got a G2 from Ebay a few months ago (4 to be exact) and from then and now I've not done much but than install a few custom ROMs (2) and restore to KDZ (3). All that time I've been getting Overheating issues. I am almost 96% sure that it is not a frankenphone but I feel something is up with this phone.

When I first got it. I used the phone for a few weeks on stock (it was on Jellybean shipped). Then KDZ upgraded to KitKat (no sim, full wipe). Still nothing, no overheating.

Then I finally decided to get a ROM going. I rooted with TowelRoot and installed recovery with AutoRec. Then upgraded TWRP to support lollipop ROMs (Blastagator's Thermal TWRP).

Now after all of that I successfully installed my first ROM of choice - Blisspop. It ran like a dream. But this is where the overheating started.

I constantly got 40C+ and above. I did nothing about it. Got sick of it, and installed another ROM (Cloudy 2.2). Of course it installed successfully. Nothing wrong. Still overheated like mad.

Used Cloudy for a few weeks and finally decided to back everything up and restore via KDZ (back to KK). After that. Overheating still occured although it was a little better than I expected... I wondered what was going on. By then it was a month and the Ebay seller said I was Out of Luck. Now I decided to install Resurrection Remix 5.1. It seemed to fix some overheating issues but they were still severe-ish.

Decided to restore via KDZ again (KK again) still nothing. After that I installed everything I needed and installed a Stock Lollipop Stripped Down ROM, I've heard bad things about LG's Stock Lollipop (including overheating) so I'm not surprised that this thing is overheating in this state. I am now stuck here. Wondering what the hell I need to do to get this thing back to it's former glory.

Look at my location. I live in Nevada. I know that High Temps here aren't good for this phone and that might be the problem. But this phone is hardly used anywhere without AC (Car, Home, Job, Banks, Buildings, ect) and both are really cool compared to outside's 100+F/37C heat. So that can't be a factor.

I'm wondering if I can return this thing back to LG/AT&T if they still allow them to be repaired. My seller gave some info like S/N and original purchase date. But I'd rather not do that. Also, if I'm Out of Luck on warranty. How much would it cost to pay LG for it to be fixed? Just wondering. But I would rather fix it on my own that to wait a few weeks without a phone.

TL;DR: Bought phone, upgraded from JB to KK. Rooted and installed recovery, flashed a ROM. Overheated. KDZ'd back, overheated. more rom installing ect, ect. still overheating. Wondering what I need to do to restore this thing.
