Build.prop edit doesnt stick???

decided to take a risk and add a line to my build.prop about preferred network..... but it didnt work!! I told it to use WCDMA only and it is STILL switching over to HDSPA... i get better reception when i go into the phone info menu and switch it to WCDMA , but it will not stick..... i thought adding a build prop line would finally do the trick, but its still auto switching!!

Best way to view raw files? and edit them?

I see the gallery doesn't even show you the raw files. Went into file browser and saw all the DNG files there. Now I'm wondering which app is the best app to view them in? Tried lightroom but for some reason it isn't picking up all of them.

Can't edit build.prop

I've lost the ability to change DPI all of a sudden. I had no problems at all,but I installed a cm based rom, changed DPI on that fine, but afterwards I moved to a stock based rom and I haven't been able to change since.

Texdroider says it will be changed but doesn't apply after boot, and when I try to edit the build.prop, it says it can't save.
Tried to edit permissions but not won't allow me.
Restored to a flashable stock rom, still the same.
Restored to a UK ftf file, still the same.

Seriously run out of ideas, so I come to you for help...

Hey guys. I am the developer of the S5 ROM (Original S5 Experience for S4 Mini i9192). I want to edit a few things in Settings/About Device, but I'm not sure which files to edit. Can someone please tell me what files I need to decompile and edit, etc?

Edit TWRP Backup (nandroid)

I was looking for a way to edit a TWRP backup. Basically doing a debloat on it. To where it would just contain my apps and data I installed not all the samsung apps and all the other stuff that does not need to be backed up. I have seen where you can unpack the backup on a computer but I would not know what would be safe to delete. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

Can't edit or delete photos from SD card

I can take pictures and save to my SD card, but Google photos won't let me delete them, says I need to go to gallery. I go to gallery and I can delete them fine.

But neither gallery or Google photos will let me save my edits. Says "unable to save".

Anyone else?

my systemui.apk is odexed... i have used universal deodexer v 5 by abcdjdj but it always fails.... can anyone help?

Galaxy S4 available Tizen apps for Gear 1 versus S5 (build prop edit)

Hi,

have been reading here, as well as google search replies as to whether or not the build prop edit to apparently get more Tizen apps is still valid. Unfortunately most of the posts and responses are back from 2014. I've edited the build prop on my S4 so that it shows as an S5, but have not noticed any real big difference on available apps from the Gear app.

I may be doing it incorrectly, but when I check with the phone info app - it does show as an S5 ?

Can anyone confirm if more apps are available for the S5, and well, basically I am doing something wrong - or is it possible that the apps have now pretty much caught up on the S4
