please help. Kindle fire HDX 8.9 stuck on grey language screen

Hello, hoping one you experienced Kindle fire HDX 8.9 users can help me. Ok, my kindle fire HDX is running a stock factory rom/ software. The current firmware is 14.3.10. I rooted it a year ago with one of the programs I found on the net.
I kept getting the add pop-ups, so I used sql editor to change one or two of the fields to stop the add pop-ups as per instructions on the net. What ever root program I used, also disabled OTA updates. I installed the common files for getting the google playstore on the device. So over time, the playstore crashed, kept getting the error most people get about playstore has stopped working. I went in and uninstalled the playstore files. Then I decided to do a factory restore. BIG MISTAKE!!

Kindle fire HDX reset, and put me back to the registration screen. I was able to re-register it, then it went to the grey language screen. I choose English. So the problem is: It keeps looping to the language screen. I can choose English, then ok at the bottom of the screen, but it just goes back to the language screen. I can power it down, and back up. I get my unlock screen, and I can see the icon screen, and even go into the settings for about 20 to 30 seconds before it loops to the grey language screen. The kindle does not do any auto re-booting, it just stays stuck on the language screen until I power it down and back up.

Next, I can connect it to my PC through the USB cable, and the kindle is recognized. I have downloaded the program from XDA developers KFHD SRT 2.0. I can start that program, and it recognizes the Kindle , and it will put it into Fastboot mode. The kindle says fastboot and ready on the screen. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I dont want to jack up my kindle anymore than it already is. I read somewhere, that I may have to order a special USB cable for fastboot. I'm not sure if this is true. I never installed any recovery software on the Kindle, nor did I make a back up that I know of.

So what is the easy fix to get it back to stock and get it out this soft loop. I'm sure it can be repaired being I still have some access. I Thank any of you who will take the time to guide me through the process or point me to the right programs and files needed to get it working again.

Keyboard wont change language

Hello a friend of mine has a Samsung Galaxy S III Neo.Recently she had a problem with the keyboard it would not change language when she was typing and the arrows on the bottom would not appear ( she uses the stock keyboard and the phone is in totally stock(factory) condition (No Rom or kenrel has been flashed and the bootloader is still locked)
My first guess was that it was the stock apps fault so i suggested downloading a 3rd party keyboard (specifically Swiftkey )
I told her that if she prefers the stock keyboard even thought i think my solution would work she could go to apps and find the keyboard app and delete the data...

If none of these works im out of ideas so i would like your help what comes next ???

Language support

Hi Guys,

was about to pull the trigger on Amazon to buy this phone when noticed in Q&A section that US version only comes with few languages - not worldwide Android language selection. Since I was planning to send this phones to Ukraine to my nieces, I need to know if it is possible to re enable Russian/Ukrainian and what I would have to do. Root probably? Please only answer if you are sure of the working method, I don't want to just test theories.

Hi guys,

I would like to buy phones for my nieces in Ukraine and need fully supported Russian/Ukrainian languages. Choosing between Alcatel Idol 3 and this Zenfone. Original preference is Alcatel but now I read it is released in US with castrated language selection out of the box. Does Zenphone that is sold on Amazon (WW version?) have full support of international languages?
Would appreciate a quick response as I need to make a decision within a week.

unfourtenately this Os have only 3 language english spanish chinese
is there any firmware with other language french italian arabic ...... especially french i am in 4.4.2 and the tablet wont downgrade with odin I can install only 4.4.2

Fix language problems in Ebook.apk

Hi everyone,

I'm still a happy user of a GT-P6800 tab, since I only use it for ebook reading. But recently I ugraded it from HC to JB (just to become able to install a Bjork music app). And then, the Samsung stock Ebook reader was gone.
It's the best reader for me, I tried many before coming to that conclusion.
Well, I searched through the forums and find many versions of this apk. Two of them installed fine in my tablet.
The thing is, one is a later, better version, but has language problems ("ç", "Ç" and some others not showing). The other apk is ok with language, but it's an older version.
I want to fix, if possible, the language problem of the new apk.
Question is: Is that possible? Can I use the older version (with working language) files to inject in the newer version one and get this new one to work correctly?
Where usually language files go and from which Smali they are called?
Any help will be appreciated!
