Full back-up : rooted firmware + data + apps. Possible?

Hello,

I have an issue with the screen that is detaching more and more. So I plan to send it back to Sony SAV.

My phone is rooted and I really want to keep the firmware I am using right now (I do not want to move to Android 5).

I know how to copy my data, applications and so one. But I want a full backup to perform a full restore once it will be exchanged. Is there any way to do a full back-up with the firmware also?

Bootloader Modem Firmware Sm-G920F

Hi Guys,

do I have a benefit, by flashing a whole firmware for my G920F or is it enough always flash only bootloader and baseband?
I come from HTC. With every new firmware from HTC there were mostly updatet drivers like touchscreen drivers etc.

So my quetsion is, do i flash newer driver etc. if i flash a whole fimrware vom samobile.com, so that I flash more newer things
or is it always enough to flash newer bootloader an modem?

Different notification behaviour after firmware update

My watch downloaded and updated its firmware, and now my notifications don't automatically wake the watch screen when they arrive (I just get the buzzing). Anyone know if there's a way of getting notifications to pop up automatically (and turn on the display) - which is what they were doing before?

Firmware + ROM ??

Hi there ,
I have a brand new at&t HTC M9 . Looking forward to unlocking the boatloader , rooting , getting S-off and flashing a ROM. But there aren't Much Roms to pick ,
So my question is , if I can have different firmwares and a ROM , for example AT&t firmware and ARHD Or Maximus ROM. . As long as the firmware and ROM are the same base (5.1 or 5.0)
With the M8 I had it worked , but this is different phone and most likely works different too .

Wrong firmware installed

Dear friends i need some help, yesterday i was doing some changes to my Samsung Galaxy Young Duos with Odin Downloader at certain point everything was alright until i got distracted :confused: and installed the S5830M firmware on it (It contained only the PDA file) it installed successfully but, when the phone was turning on showed me the boot image, and got stuck there, later it turned off by itself and now only shows a white screen, turns off and turns on again and so on... (when it turns on shows the white screen and later turns off and it keeps doing that until the battery is dead) I've tried a lot of things and nothing really works at all, it doesn't enter in Recovery or Download nonetheless it only shows the damn white screen and doesn't do nothing :( Could somebody help me?

So I have few questions when it comes to updating my ASUS Zenfone 2 firmware.
- How to update my Zenfone 2 ?
- Do I need to update from version to another without skipping any? Or I could directly update to the latest one?
- Would the update improve my battery life? Because it drains really fast.
- How to fix the problem in ADB "Cannot read file.zip" ?

As son as device enters download mode, firmware tries to update and locks up phone. I am trying to root thi LG G2. No carrier. Formerly Sprint phone. Want to use phone on another carrier

PC does not recognize smartphone + firmware upgrade encountered an issue

Hi guys, first of all, sorry for my bad English.
I own a Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500FU), Android 5.0.2, ROM stock. My PC is a Windows 10 64 bits.

A month ago it worked, but then I had to unroot my phone because I wanted to update it, but when I wanted to re-root it, it didn't work, I couldn't flash the cf-root so I closed Odin. After that, my phone displays "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" when I turn it on. I would like to flash again the ROM stock, but my PC does not recognize my phone. I've tried on other computers, but the problem is still the same (tried on an Ubuntu PC, and a Windows 7 laptop).
Also, when I try to install the Samsung USB drivers, my PC freezes (BSOD) and I have to reboot it.

Please, help me, I don't know what to do.

1. Shutdown phone
2. Start download in SP-Flash-Tool
3. When connecting the phone to usb press Volume+ and Volume- down. The download (firmware update) will start without BROM ERROR.

Being a Root virgin,i had a play with my Samsung Galaxy s4 gt-i9505,i managed the first part ok but then i went a bit crazy and tryed installing the first rom i seen,which now i can't remember what it was.....ended up getting "firmware upgrade encountered an issue........" have trawled the net caught virus after virus trying to get something to work,kies or kies 3 dosen't seem to pick up my fone tryed installing reinstalling but nothing entered model and it told me wasn't supported,have tried odin,several different usb cables,seemed to pass first i managed to root but now its fail after fail,only computers i have both run 10....completely lost

I managed to restore my Moto E XT1021 (1st Gen) to stock Firmware using this ROM- RETAIL-DSDS_CONDOR_KXC20.82-14_cid7_CFC_1FF -
and now I have no network service , I'm on the 3 mobile Network in Ireland but cannot search for networks , I keep getting an error message . My original firmware was EU but I couldn't find it anywhere so I just went with the above one , could that be a problem ? I was on Cyanogenmod 12.1 before all this .
