Wifi tethering option not available in hTC One M8

Hello everyone,
I have a hTC m8 (Harman Kardon edition) gifted by my client from USA. When I received the device, it was factory locked through Sprint Mobile. After a month of research on internet and on this forum, I have unlocked it to use GSM services in India, and its working fine now.

But now the problem is it does not have the Tethering option. I want to tether my M8's internet connection with other devices but it has no option to enable WiFi tethering or anything. I have also tried a few third party tethering app from play store like(FoxFi, Wifi Tether, etc..) but had no luck. They all failed to establish a connection.

I am new to this forum, so am not allowed to post screenshot or any external link.
Please help me, how can I enable the tethering or internet sharing option on my device.

Device Specs:
1: Model no: 831C
2: Rooted and Unlocked
3: Android Version - 4.4.2
4: S/w Version - 1.54.654.13

Please help me and let me know if more details are required.

[Help] Cm 12.1 - No performance option

Hey guys,

I have a HTC One M7 and CM12.1 installed. I use CM12.1 from the beginning actually but yesterday I wanted to change the performance a bit but there is no option. Developer options are enabled so ...

Anyone a idea?

Missing backup option in recovery

Hi!

I installed CM 12.1 recently and found that the cyanogen recovery doesnt offer any backup option. Since I need this, I went back to my backup (CM 11).
I am a little confused about how I should proceed to use CM 12.1 AND have the backup option in recovery:
Can I just flash CWM (from the clockworkmod website) or TWRP recovery after installing CM 12.1? I read that this replaces the kernel of the i9100 aswell, will this result in any issues?
And can I flash it by using the cyanogen recovery (download the zip and install in recovery)?

And will CM 12.1 replace the recovery immediately, even if I unchecked "Update Cyanogen recovery" in the developer options? (I think I tried to install CWM before but it got replaced nevertheless...)

I hope that this question hasn't been asked already, I found so many topics which couldn't really help me...

Flex 2 H959 no lte option

My Flex 2 came in today and it has no option for lte. It is the H959 version so it should get lte on ATT but only issue is it has no option for lte. Any suggestions?

Which storage option?

I'm for sure getting this thing tomorrow (when it's up for order online for T-Mobile) so I wanted to ask for an answer/opinion on the subject of storage.

I'm not sure whether I should get the 32gb or the 64gb. I want to know what the better idea would be: 32gb + cloud + OTG/USB vs the 64gb. I want the 64gb, but the extra 0 is a bit of a put off so I'm not sure yet. I'd like to have some opinions as well as others' choices?

At&t H950, "Enable OEM UNLOCK" Option now available????

So I updated to 5.1, and noticed today the "Enable OEM Unlock" option. Doesn't that mean we can unlock the BL? I've tried rebooting into fastboot, or boot loader but I can't.

So is it just me? Or has just nobody said anything, or I haven't noticed it yet?

This should be big right? Am I happy for nothing? Hahahaha.

Has anyone used the Cast Screen option on Moto G 2nd Gen ?

As the title says -- Has anyone used the "Cast Screen" option that appears on the pull down menu on his Moto G 2nd Gen with:
1. Chromecast
2. Any other casting dongle (Ezcast etc.)

Do these work on fully stock Android 5.0.2 Lollipop ?

No long screenshot option (AT&T Version)

I don't have the option for the long screenshot on mines (AT&T version). Do you? If so, how do you access it? I'm choosing screen write and it just takes the screenshot. The options at the bottom don't have the same ones as in the reveal.

[Q] Where has my Priority Notifications option gone

OK, I may have done something silly or not and I am not sure if it is related to the latest S/W upgrade or not but today I noticed that I no longer get the options for 'None', 'Priorty' or 'All' on the sound slider (see attached)

It was definitely there after the first lollipop upgrade and it's definitely there on my Nexus 9 so is this part of Sony's modifications or have I done something stupid?

System Update Menu option missing.

I finally updated to 5.0 about a month ago and after hearing all this business about stagefright and a possible security update for it. I went to where normally you would check for system updates under the ABOUT PHONE section, and there is no option for it? Any idea where it went to and how to get that option back in the menu? The other strange thing is that the last item in the About Phone menu is "Configuration Version" and it says Not Available. I have a Note 4 at work and it has info there and I imagine there should be on the Note 3 too.

'Hide Sensitive Notification Content' option missing in Moto G 2015

The 'hide sensitive notification content' option under 'Settings>Sound & Notifications>When Device is Locked' is missing in my phone. Usually there are 3 options in the dropdown menu under 'when device is locked' - 1. Show all notification content, 2. Hide sensitive notification content, 3. Don't show notifications at all. But the 2nd option is not there in my Moto G 2015 (2 gb - 16 GB version bought in India).

Also, under 'Settings>Sound & notifications> app notifications' when I open any app then there are supposed to be 3 options - Block, Priority & Sensitive. But in my Moto G the 'sensitive' option is missing.

I have attached images of both pages.

Is it the same for all Moto G devices or mine has a problem?

Wifi Sharing Option missing

I have an unlocked Single SIM sprint Model HTC One E8. Ever since I purchased it from a friend of mine, I don't have the wifi tethering / sharing option. Anyone know how to enable it?

Suspicious option in settings (Pin pad scrambler)

I found an interesting option in the settings. It is calles Pin pad random order. Now that is pretty straightforward but you can set it to "On demand". What is this and how does it work? :what:

Yesterday i had attended the Tizen Developer Summit at Bangalore
Developer Device given at TDS15BLR is not working after enabling the SST option available in Accesibility
I was testing the device , in the Setting > Accesibility > SST
i turned it on , after that whenever i touch the screen some voice response are generated by the system,
to get rid of that i turned of the phone and when i switched it on again , nothing is happening , wherever i touch on the screen there is no response ,
the only sound coming are
1. when screen is unlocked by the side key - "Screen is Unlocked"
2. When screen is locked back by the side key - "Screen is Locked"
3.When charger is connected - "Charger connected"
4.When charger is removed - "Charger disconnected"

apart from this nothing is working , the phone is good as dead ,
everything was working fine before i switched the above mentioned feature on.
is there any way i can reset the handset to previous settings.

please help
