S4 mini turned off suddenly and it won't turn on

Hi to all. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini GT-I9195 that I use for work. Some days ago I was reading some E-mail and it turned off like if I removed the battery and it won't turn on.
I tried everything, also connecting JIG without any change.
I connected to my PC and it has find this device "QHSUSB_DLOAD" but I haven't the driver installed.

What is happened? Is my device bricked?
What can I do?

Thanks in advance.

[Solved] Stuck on boot animation Suddenly. Solved without wiping data.

Symptoms:
Phone stucks at boot animation screen (4 color balls rolling)
adb devices command shows device is represent.
adb logcat shows no fatal error, no obvious cause
kernel message shows no fatal error

Cause:
Content inside /data/system/sync is corrupted(?)

Fix:
Rename or remove folder /data/system/sync

Below is the full story and how I figure it out:
3 days ago when I woke up, i find that my phone was rebooting and the screen showing boot animation. After waiting a long time, I find that the phone was stuck on boot animation. I can use adb shell to connect the phone and adb logcat to retrieve the log. The log shows nothing special or fatal, just some minor errors.

My phone is rooted, unlooked and relocked bootloader, CWM Recovery 6.0.4.4
The apps I installed that have root access included, but not limited to:
Xposed Framework
Android Tuner aka 3C Toolbox
GravityBox
iFont
Xprivacy
Greenify
AFWall+
BusyBox
SuperSu
com.avast.android.mobilesecurity
com.avast.android.antitheft (Root install)
After Googled a few hours, 99.9% of the result tell you factory reset your phone is the fix, and i am not satisfied with that. So I used CWM recovery to made a complete backup, and tinkering with the files and system.

At first I cleared cache and dalvik-cache in recovery as this is easiest, but no luck.

Then I suspect this might be a flash memory chip problem , so I boot into recovery, use adb shell to connect console, however, adb shows that device unauthorized, so I do a factory reset and reboot recovery, then adb shell again and success, and in recovery, restore /data backup. Then I use command

Code:

%path to android platform tools folder%> adb push adbkey.pub /data/misc adb/adb_keys

, then adb is authorized after reboots.

To check if the flash memory is okay, i used the command:

Code:

e2fsck -fv /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/persist
e2fsck -fv /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/cache
e2fsck -fv /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata
e2fsck -fv /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system

The result seems fine, and no signs of hardware failure.

After reading logcat, the system seems nearly finished the booting process, and stucked at end of System service, and never signal Boot_Completed. Using Android Device Monitor, system_process main thread is still running and doing something unknown.
At this point, i think kernel and /system should be normal.

Then I suspect that the apps i installed might be the cause, I renamed the folders like:

Code:

mv /data/data /data/data.old
mv /sdcard/Android /sdcard/Android.old
mv /data/app /data/app.old

to see if the OS can boot normally, but no luck.
I also renamed many other app folders and reboot, but none of this can solve the bootloop problem.

Then I renamed /data/system and reboot, from the logcat, i can see the system is regenerating the content inside the system, and I waited for a moment, the OS booted successfully with many "xxx process stopped" error message on the screen. So at this moment I realized that content in /data/system might be the root of all evil. As Home screen is not usable with a lot of process stopped messages, I used this command to start the apps i want.

Code:

adb shell monkey -p com.yourpackage.name -c android.intent.category.LAUNCHER 1

(Need to use some game points;) )

Next I used command

Code:

find /data/system -mtime -3

to find out which files were altered within last 3 days. I get a list of files and folder and then I rename the folders one by one and reboot. Finally, /data/system/sync folder is confirmed as the cause of the problem.

I restored the full backup in recovery, and renamed the /data/system/sync folder to /data/system/sync.old and reboot. Phone boots normally, everything seems fine.

I don't know what, why, how exactly causing the boot problem, but the problem is solved anyway. Hope this information can help someone.

I used 40+ hrs to figure it out, and another 2+ hrs to summarize and write this.
fxxk.

Battery suddenly useless by Android OS and System.. Any idea on how to fix?

Hello. My phone has had an amazing battery for months, up to 4+ days (with little screen usage of course), but now I can barely last 30 hours with an equal amount of small screen usage.

In the battery panel I can see that Android OS and Android System is taking up a lot of the battery procentage. Here are two pictures of my latest battery run:
http://i.imgur.com/evHt2qo.png
http://i.imgur.com/9sb0ild.png
The screen time on these was 1hr 26 min.

What I've tried:
* Disabling all sync and location service
* Clean flashed a completely new and different (!) ROM (from PA to Euphoria).
* Uninstalled all the apps I installed the last few months

Still lose my battery like crazy. I also tried to disable wake-ups and keep-awakes from google play services but that caused FC and I still think the battery got drained.

Anything else I can try?

Nexus 7 Touchscreen Suddenly Does Not Respond

Hi Folks,
We've had a 2013 Nexus 7 for 1.5 years and it's been a great device. Always on stock Android OS. so we get OTAs periodically.

While away, the Nexus battery ran down because my daughter had kept it on before we left. We wirelessly charged it again - i.e., the USB port has been broken for the past year - and booted it up.

Despite seeing the usual animated lock screen and hearing notifications in the background, the touch screen was not responding to input.

I tried powering down/up, then got the "Google" logo and a hang.

On a weird idea from a different forum, I powered down, opened the back and reseated the thinner connector which travels over the battery, then rebooted. It worked!

But, the touchscreen is still not responding on the lock screen.

Ideas welcome, please.

Nexus 4 stops suddenly

My Google Nexus 4 which was working without issue suddenly began stopping at random times. After few boot ups OS didn't bootup where I had to factory reset wipe from recovery mode. But suddon stopping issue still persisted. Soon it came to a situation where factory reset could n't recover at which case I tried installing Synagenmode. I could not install Synagenmode for some reason. There after I flash factory Nexus 4 ROM again. Still the sudden stopping issue exist when phone is discoonected from charging cable. Phone works fine when connected with main power.
The battery is not empty though it stopped suddenly, I am saying this because I can boot it up again though it stops again before fully bootup. Is this a hardware failure or software faikure such as battery cache

Phone shuts down suddenly.

Hey guys I'm experiencing an odd issue w/ my G3. My phone/battery dies sometimes when it's at 30-60%. this is not after prolonged use either so I don't think it's a battery % misread. I have multiple batteries and this happens with all of them, 1 is an oem battery and the other 2 are from anker. Swapping a new charged battery allows the phone to turn on normally at 100% and is good for rest of the day.

One thing that is unusual plugging in the phone with the battery that dies into a charger resuscitates at whatever % it died at and I can use it normally from that point on.

What do you think guys? What kind of issue is this?

Why did my Samsung Galaxy S6 suddenly stop working and nothing seems to work

Yesterday, I was studying in macdonald. In order to focus, I took off my ear piece and put my phone aside. When I was done studying and was walking home, I took out my phone but it does not show anything. I thought it had no more battery but charging it does not show any sign. I have also tried all the button combination but nothing seems to be showing. It is just like a phone without a battery just a hard case. I have important photos and informations in my 2 month old phone. So are there any ways to save my phone or are there any way to like back up the stuff now.
I really need your help!!!
