Boot Sound on Android 4.4.2 AOSP

Hello guys,
I am posting here just for a simple topic which I couldn't get help from anywhere. It might feel stupid but I want to add boot sound on my AOSP based kitkat ROM but couldn't find any clue about it as none came stock.
So can anyone guide me to accomplish this task ?
I found a lot of places citing how to change boot sound but nowhere to add one. And other Custom Roms for my device like MIUI and Galaxy S5 ROMs had bootsound on them. So I think there is support and I just need to activate it somehow. So please friend grant my wish and teach me how to do this..
Thanks in advance.

AOSP ROM - No SIM Detection.

Hi All, I dont know if anyone else facing this. But when ever i flash any AOSP ROM (Slim, CM, PA, Bliss, Resurrection, etc..)
Any of these roms dont detect my SIM. I have been trying to use flash Stock android from past month. Can anyone had this same issue.

I dont know what to do make this go. Something strange has happened. Its not like i had this problem in the beginning. Before i was able to flash AOSP. But this past month i am not able to. Even if i go back to the old build this problem is there.

Touchwiz vs AOSP on 5.1.1

I recently updated to the latest bootloader and 5.1.1 Touchwiz. I'm having a rough time without xposed and am considering changing to AOSP and scrapping Touchwiz so I can get my Xposed customizations back.

For anyone who has made this move, is there anything significant you lose by scrapping Touchwiz or any reason I should continue waiting?

[Q] AOSP Lollipop Statusbar Icons for 5.1.1?

Hey guys, is there a way to get AOSP Lollipop 5.0 Statusbar Icons on our Galaxy S6? I tried Xstana with xposed but it only changes the Wifi Icon and the rest is still Touchwiz (ugly) ....

Where is the AOSP Volume Up / Down UI sound?

I have a personal hatred for the default Vol Up / Down sound in AOSP, and even though a few have asked before, no one seems to know where this file lives in AOSP. I want to change it so, so badly, and it doesn't seem to be in /system/media/audio/ui or any of the other /system/media/audio/ folders.

Anyone know where this file is?

AOSP Based ROM with great audio recording quality ??

Hi there...

I would like to use some AOSP based ROM on my LG G3 D855, but I've already tested many, and all of them have a poor audio recording quality.

On the video recording, the audio is pretty acceptable, but if you try to record any music playing at a high volume with some bass (on shows / parties), you will get a distorted and clipped audio.

When recording audio through WhatsApp (or any other audio recording app) the situation is even worst, even voice-only recordings have a really bad quality and noise.

With Stock-based ROMs, none of this problem happens, I can record songs with high volume even when using Whatsapp and it doesnt sound creepy.

So, is there any ROM with a audio comparable to the official-based ROMs?

Thanks in advance... Im really seaching for it. :crying:

Sony Xperia Z3: AOSP Build (Lollipop 5.0) - Time reset on device reboot

Hi,

I'm trying to build Android 5.0 for the Sony Xperia Z3 (leo) using AOSP sources and the vendor binaries provided by Sony on their Developer World website ('SW_binaries_for_Xperia_AOSP_L_MR0_v8'). System, Boot, Recovery, Cache and Userdata images are all built properly and I am able to flash them on an actual device.

However, each time the phone is restarted, the system's Date & Time settings are reset to the default, a fixed day in 1970.

From my past experience with builds for Google Nexus devices, this kind of issue is often caused by outdated or incomplete vendor files.
I attempted to build using the vendor from the software binaries available on the Sony Xperia Github project (sonyxperiadev/device-sony-leo), which is 'v7' I believe, instead of the version available in direct download, with no luck: same issue.

Has anyone encountered and/or solved this issue?
Is there a version of the software binaries I am missing, or do I need to tweak something in the source?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

A.Robert

AOSP Building

Trying to get AOSP built for the Z3+ but having some issues.

The build appeared to complete successfully and I can get to the android logo when booting but am getting the following in logcat + a reboot. (see attached).

I figured we may be able to get a flashable zip quicker if multiple people are working on it.

It appears to be a null pointer exception when checking permissions.

I believe the relevant part is

W/Binder ( 800): java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke interface method 'int android.app.IActivityManager.checkPermission(java. lang.String, int, int)' on a null object reference
W/Binder ( 800): at android.app.ContextImpl.checkPermission(ContextImp l.java:1865)
W/Binder ( 800): at android.app.ContextImpl.checkCallingOrSelfPermissi on(ContextImpl.java:1906)
W/Binder ( 800): at android.app.ContextImpl.enforceCallingOrSelfPermis sion(ContextImpl.java:1943)

but I'm unsure where to even start looking to fix it

[IMP][LOLLIPOP 5.1] Sensors Fix for AOSP and CM Based roms.

Ola folks! How's it going. Our devs here have been working really hard ( Trust me when I say day and night) to get us bugless roms. But due to well known Xiaomi sprayed **** all over the users, so its difficult for even them to fix all things together. On some builds sensors might not work for ya!
Don't ya fret!!! Just download the zip below and flash it through CWM or TWRP.
Clear cache and dalvik.
Credits to @aniket.lamba, @debashish dada and @Pranay.pingale for their help and the brilliant idea.

[ROM] AOSP v3.2 based on Android 4.3

I'm pleased to present (not my work):

AOSP v3.2
build by MaXxXanteR
For Lenovo K900
Screenshots:

LockScreen

Launcher

Notifications

QuickSettings

Xposed

Features:
- Lollipop boot animation,
- rooted,
- customizable with Xposed Installer,
- eyes friendly,
- multilingual,
- installed play store&servieces.

You can use MonsterUI Xposed mod to make this ROM look like lollipop!

Lollipop

Issues:
- no camera app installed (I use JB+ camera)

Installation process

Caution - to install you have to unlock your phone! If you don't know how to do it check out here

1. Your K900 has to be unlocked, so a rooted 4.3 Android version is required (e.g. QuBex-ROM v8)
2. Install TWRP recovery (download) - create sdfuse folder in phone's main memory and place .inb file there; turn off your phone, then press all at once power vol- vol+ to enter fastboot and choose SDUPDATE.
3. Download ROM and copy it to phone's memory, power off your phone.
4. Enter fastboot (power vol- vol+) and from there choose "recovery".
5. In TWRP tap "WIPE" and after that "INSTALL" and select ROM zip.

First boot may take a while.
I'm not responsible if you do something wrong and brick your device. If you have any questions or problems ask me and I will help you.
Info - there's a special version of Xposed for this phone (download) - the normal ones brick it...
