Sony Music App Issues

Just wandering if anyone is having issues with the most recent music/Walkman app from Sony. Was listening to music and all of a sudden it would stop and then realised why cause it said can not play song. So went through my songs and realised there was a few duplicates. Why I dont know went to my folder under ext sd card and there is no duplicate in it. Then I noticed on few songs it wasnt even playing the song listed.

Anyone else have the problem or just me.

Tried all usual stuff cleared data. Uninstall updates then updated it again. Same problem

5.1.1 and Play Music

Play music is skipping songs to the next after 10 - 30secs playback after my upgrade to 5.0

Music volume increase ? Is it possible ?

I have buy this device and disapponted about music volume. Its not loud as i wanted to be. Tried three different headphones, its really disappoint ing. Is there any app or secret code to increasing sound?

How can I change the Cover Art with Google Music App?

This will be the first time that I'll be changing an album art with the MUSIC APP (one that replaced the walkman app). How do I do it now that it doesn't give the option to change the album art?

Bluetooth Music Auto Start

I have seen this question come up on forums more than once but never with a definite solution.

I upgraded from an S4 to a Note 4 over the last month and all of a sudden, the default music player auto starts when my phone connects to the car radio (the same car I have had the whole time) via bluetooth. I have tried apps like "Bluetooth Connect & Stop Play" but only works like 1 out of 10, I even used a tasker like app "Llama", which seemed to help a little (basically won't override the behavior).

This is such an annoyance since buying the phone that I am considering rooting the thing and disabling the default music player..only thing that makes me hesitate is that I am thinking that whatever the design flaw this is, will just continue when another music app become default...or a custom ROM. Only other option I have is to delete my SD card music location so the player doesn't have any music to play but then whats the point of having the music on the SD card in the first place.

If anyone else have any ideas, I sure would appreciate it.

Just a music and app device?

Awhile ago I traded my AT&T Note 2 to my mother in law for her upgrade. Yesterday she upgraded and I got it back. I threw a custom ROM on it and brought it back to life. My 4 year old wanted to play with it so I let her. As she was playing with it she came dangerously close to making an emergency call (even without a sim, they still do that).

What I am trying to figure out is if there is a ROM already or how hard it would be to create/modify one to remove the phone aspect. Essentially making it just a music/movie/app device. Like an iPod. With WiFi, play store, YouTube, video player etc.

Port HTC Music on Note 3?

I've been reading guides online discussing porting HTC apps to non HTC devices. Most of the apps work like blinkfeed. But when ever I flash the complete zip in recovery as mentioned in this link :

Android updates and boots up but the apps are no where to be seen. I've even tried manually installing the apps and changing the permissions but that doesn't work either. I think the issue is with the recovery since it's not really twrp or am I completely wrong? I'd love any feedback you can offer. I've tried this on stock lollipop and alliance ROM.

(test if you have any other devices maybe moto G1st gen or G3rd gen etc..... and post here so other people can also have fun)

1. Download latest apk (tested and working version 9.0.2.A.0.0)
Current version "Music v9.0.2.A.0.0.apk" by Sony (previously aka Walkman app)
Google it to download or from the link provided

2. Rename the downloaded apk to "com.sonyericsson.music" and also create a folder named "com.sonyericsson.music" and put the apk inside this folder.
[OR just download the file i provided, just extract it.]

3. Use any file explorer (i used FX) to copy it to the directory [# System (Root)>system>app] & paste the folder here

4. Reboot and Enjoy ;)

Nubia Music Player

The ZTE Nubia music player is fully compatible with our Axon's. I have always like this player primarily because it gives an on screen volume slider (just swipe up/down within a song context). Plus it gives some cool menu animations and gives a folder view of your library.

Invoking S Voice: Edge Screen Shows Music Controls Inatead

This has wroked before: Invoking S Voice (double press on home button) showed the appropriate side panel. Since yesterday the S Voice panel will come up for a second, then it is replaced by the music controls. But S Voice still accepts commands. Any suggestions?

Is having the screen unlocked and on on your phone required for AW play music command

I am not sure if this is an issue I'm having or if it's intended, but whenever I tell my watch to play music on my phone, the music will not start until I turn my phone's display on and/or unlock it. Is this intentional?

Android Wear voice action to play music only works if the phone screen is on & unlock

Using Android Wear voice command "listen to..." or "play ..." will basically queue up my music and won't start playing until I unlock and/or turn my screen on. I've spent a bunch of time trying different music on my phone locally and streaming and each time I have to have my phone on for it to start playing. How can I fix this?
