Something crashed my S5...Download Mode/Recovery can't be reached

Hey there everyone,

I really appreciate allthe help I've gotten over the years from the XDA community.

Here goes. My wife's S5 crashed the other night and when we try to turn it on or get into download/recovery modes nothing happens except some vibrations and a blank screen ...except once in a while the image posted here will flash on the screen. Please help, there's got to be a way to reflash functional software of somekind.

Something is keeping apps from using mobile data...

I don't have any restrictions on apps using mobile data but for some reason, I have several apps like gmail and hangouts that won't sync unless on WiFi. Any way to figure out what is causing this? Thanks!

Has anyone else noticed something odd about the Shield Tablet's description?

On the xda Shield Tablet "main page", I noticed something a little odd

Quote:

It features an 8" 1200p IPS LCD display, Nvidia Tegra K1 dual-core 2.2Ghz processor, 192-core Kepler GPU and 2GB of RAM.

I'm pretty sure the dual core variant (Project Denver) was released after the Shield Tablet, especially considering that the first device to feature a Project Denver K1 was the Google Nexus 9, announced Oct 15, 2014, nearly 2 months after the release of the Wi-Fi only Shield Tablet

help. someone rooted or did something to phone i just bought

I just bought a SM-G900T here in iowa where I live
this is an "I-Wireless" phone which must have something to do with T-Mobile as I see some T-Mobile stuff in there like the wifi handoff

anyhow someone either tried to root it or install a rom or something
when I hold vol-down + power + home button I get to the "ODIN MODE" screen and here is what it shows:
