Did the original (3g only) Verizon Droid have a sim card?

I'm going to try to trade in my og droid at best buy. They say 200 bucks off s6 edge plus for trading in any working smart phone. My og droid still works so what the heck right? Worth a try. Thing is I can't find any sim card. Did it have one? I have a feeling vzw didn't use sims until lte phones came along but I'm not sure. If there is something on the sim I want to be sure to take it out.

VERIZON OTA BOG4 - I am screwed right?

Hi all-just got a nice,brand new S5 delivered to me from the HR girl who then proceeded to accept the update in front of my horrified eyes.

Help with Galaxy S4 -Verizon to T-Mobile

Hello, I have been reading through these forums and am starting to feel a bit of hope. I have a unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 that I purchased from a friend who is a Verizon customer. I am using T-Mobile (Family Mobile...same thing?). The phone works with the T-Mobile SIM card however, the data is sketchy and the Text Messaging works some of the time, but does not work most of the time. I live in a Metropolitan area with excellent coverage. In fact, my wife and children have no problems with T-Mobile service; however, their phones were originally configured for T-Mobile. I can't say for certain, but it seems like the radio's are either incompatible or that they are configured incorrectly for T-Mobile.

I have never modified a phone's OS or ROM before, but I am familiar with the concepts and I am not afraid. Is there a custom ROM that can be flashed to get all traces of Verizon off of this phone? And can I configure it so that it is optimized for the T-Mobile networks?

What would be the best way to reset this thing to be ready to send back? Would I need to KDZ it or just use the superuser root removal process? Thanks in advance.

Nexus 6 questions on Verizon

Looking to pick up a nexus 6 today and coming from a locked down S5 is there seprate sections for the different carriers on the Nexus?

Also are there any special steps i need to take in order to root as soon as i get home. Can someone please point me to thrle Verizon root method? Thanks

Carrier aggregation status on Verizon

I tried a search and couldn't find how to check to see if carrier aggregation, CA, was enabled and see what bands were actively selected for it.

Does anyone know how to see if CA is enabled and what bands are active for it? In my area I have band 2, band 4 and band 13 live for VZW. Would be interesting to know if CA has been enabled. I know that it's supposed to be live for 4+13 but for some reason my phone is always camping on band 2 in my area unless I move up a mile or two and then it switches to band 4.
I've used LTE discovery but all it shows is just Band 2, band 4 or band 13 being selected and not if CA is live.

For reference I'm located in midtown west NYC.

Verizon gs3 will not boot into recovery

Hi, I recently flashed twrp on my verizon gs3. I trieed rebooting into recovery, but it said system software is not authorized by vzw. Every time I tried to boot, it just says this. I have to enter download mode every time I do this to reboot. Why is this happening? I just want to flash cyanogenmod 12.1. Twrp is compatible. Please help! I hate touchwiz:confused:

Replacing back glass void verizon warranty?

I got a tiny about 1" crack in my back glass. I've been having some charging issues with my edge. If I replace the back glass, will it void the verizon warranty?

HELP!! Unlocked Verizon LG G3 to T-Mobile APN Settings?

I purchased an unlocked Verizon LG G3. I am trying to figure out what APN settings to use. I have searched all over and various other threads suggests different settings.
Here are the issues I have in most of the settings I've used: Poor signal, Internet but unable to download MMS, or no internet but text service. I also tried enabling roaming. So what settings do I use??

These settings give me service but I am getting between one to three bars. When I used to get full bars on my t-mobile g2.

Any chance that I can use the hk version w/ Verizon?

HK version note 5 has dual sim, which is much appreciated by someone who travels a lot like me, so instead of getting a Verizon note 5, I'd much rather buy one in Hong Kong. The problem is that I am not sure if it would be compatible with Verizon's 4G LTE network, and it'd be awesome if someone knows.

Nexus 6, CM Nightly, Verizon LTE connectivity issue?

Anybody else experiencing issues with the CM nightlies for Shamu and reconnecting to VZW after updates/reboots?

For the past few weeks now I have to reboot multiple times to get cell connectivity back. Sometimes going on and off of airplane mode a few times will fix it also. Once connected it will stay pinned up until the next reboot. I used to have a tasker scheduled reboot early every morning, but I can't do that now because I've missed some pretty important calls.

Thoughts?

Also, which logs can I look at (And where are they).

Beginner's questions for Verizon S4 5.0.1

I just got an S4 and have very little knowledge on what it takes to root it and install a clean version of android lollipop. When I got the phone I updated to the latest OS version (OTA, 5.0.1). From what I understand, the only thing I can do is use the Kingroot PC program to root, but its all in chinese so I dont know quiet what to do (is there a guide out there?). After that, I would like to install a clean, stock version of android, but I'm not quiet sure what is involved with that process (ROMS? Which one can I use? etc.). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Verizon OTA Update AFTER OC1?

Does anybody have any news or information about the OTA after OC1 on Verizon? I was going to Odin restore my phone on fresh OC1 (my bootloader has already been updated, so I'm stuck anyway), but I happened to check if there was another update and there is one. I'm curious as to what it actually is, and if it will make my phone run a little smoother or not.

Help with, Moto X Developers Edition Verizon US

I got my device on android 4.4.4 updated via wifi or ota, but started to have problems with the wifi, it detects some wifi but when i try to connects it doesn't do it or he say saved but it doesn't connect, already try several wifi's, try with the factory reset and nothing.

I was planning to flashed to stock 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 to assure that is not a hardware problem, but motorola doesn't send me the email, already requested 4 times and no email authorization came to me. Also i try to unlock the bootloader but according to motorola verification table, "Your device is not candidate..." try to request the unlock code but i don't see the famous blue button that they told you to click.

Anyone has the stock rom overthere? Or any ideas of what i can do anything will be big help for me guys.
