I'm going to try to trade in my og droid at best buy. They say 200 bucks off s6 edge plus for trading in any working smart phone. My og droid still works so what the heck right? Worth a try. Thing is I can't find any sim card. Did it have one? I have a feeling vzw didn't use sims until lte phones came along but I'm not sure. If there is something on the sim I want to be sure to take it out.

Help! How to get back the original phone interface?
I turned off advanced calling on my S6 Edge as the service sucked but I still have the advanced calling interface when making phone calls. Does anyone know how to remove this or revert it back to the original interface? I liked the other one better as it had the extra-volume button easily accessible.

Can some help please? Need original tab 3 lite firmware
Hello, new here.
I guess i mess up my tab 3 lite. Its stuck at "FIrmware upgrade encountered a problem" screen.
I cant find a USA version of the 4.2.2 stock firmware. I just want to put it back to original firmware and call it done.
I just wanted otg capabilities and a higher version firmware for some of my apps.
Perhaps a link pointing me to such a firmware. All other original 4.2.2 have been for different regions.
This is my 1st tablet.
i have a Galaxy s4 that i have set up perfect. I just wanted this to be the same.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give. :crying:

Rules for Posting in Original Development
The following are most likely Original Development:
*Official releases of highly original and upstream custom ROMs (built from the ground up with significant original development within them
*Official releases/development of such original ROMs, perhaps posted by the maintainer or their nominated person.
*A significant first in development for a device. Significant is subjective, but it is likely something which took considerable time/effort, and is generally accepted by developers to be significant and non-trivial.
*Kernels which are built with beneficial changes that are not simply pulled from other kernels already available. Some element of original work is expected.
*ROMs where the developer has made a custom kernel for it.
*Tools and utilities with a clear purpose, and which are well-made, and useful to users. They should have an element of originality, either in purpose or through significant improvement in the means of operation.
*Significant port of a ROM from one device to another, giving enhanced features or functionality to users of the target device. The port should be beneficial (a port from two virtually identical devices isnt original development, its win-zipping, and nobody really benefits from this, as its not development)

The following are most likely not Original Development, and should be posted in the Android Development subforum:
*Your own unofficial stock build of your favorite original, source-built (or otherwise) ROM, particularly where an official or maintainer-endorsed thread exists already.
*Minor derivatives of other ROMs with little or no changes, or ROMs consisting of placebo features as a main constituent or claim.
*Renames or rebadges of others work these dont belong on XDA at all! Refer to rule 12 for more information.
*Reposts of existing ROMs with small changes (i.e. kitchen work, such as adding a couple of apps). If you could realistically distribute your changes as an add-on pack above and beyond a ROM, you should do so. In addition, your ROM would not be original development as it would be substantially identical to the original ROM.
*A thread created with unrealistic goals that are clearly un-achievable by those starting the thread. This is not intended to discourage high aspirations, rather to prevent threads porting Windows Phone 8 to the HTC Wallaby. This is pretty much common sense.
*A ROM where a main or significant claim/feature is graphical changes to the user interface (i.e. Themed ROM)
You can find all the info for it here. Threads will be moved if they do not meet the "Original" development requirements. Thank you guys and have fun!
NOTE: IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHETHER OR NOT YOUR WORK QUALIFIES FOR OD THEN POST IN ANDROID DEVELOPMENT AND CONTACT A MODERATOR TO REVIEW IT. THANKS!

How to Restore Original Camera & Gallery
I have a rooted S3 running stock 4.1.2. I recently installed the Note 2 Camera on my device but did not back anything up (stupid I know). Well, now the camera works (barely) but is very glichy. I get areas of photos grayed out camera stops from time to time and i get error messages. Anyway, I did the switch to get the slow motion, which isn't very good anyway, so I'd like to just restore my camera back to it's original state.
What files do I need and where can I get them? Where do I install them once I have them? Any help would be appreciated.
Basically, to insall the Note 2 camera I had to use ES File Explorer to copy and paste files into the Device/system/app folder. Not sure if I can just delete those files and replace them with the originals? Also, I do not remember which ones were deleted during the process.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Can only load bootloader Original Moto G
I have given up, which is why i have finally made a post.
At some point yesterday, I screwed up my phone. I wanted to root it, and install a rom, all of which I've done before. I unlocked my bootloader no problem, and followed these instructions on how to root. All done without a hitch. I was able to boot my phone, acess the play store etc.
Somewhere along the lines of trying to install either, CWM or PA, I can't remember which, I'm sure a process failed, and didn't take notice.
At this point in time, I can access the bootloader, my phone is recognized in fastboot but not adb. I have installed and tried every option under the tools/utility section, all which have failed to place a stock system in place. Ive downloaded numerous recovery files, and installed via fastboot, but I just get a blank screen, And that is what happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. when I try anything.
PLEASE someone point me in the direction needed..
I have used this guide, this one, among others here on XDA. All with no avail. My OS was 4.4 before i screwed my phone.
My last attempt was using falcon_boost_user_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.57_57_release-keys-cid9.xml.zip
tldr; Can access bootloader, fastboot yes/adb no, all avenues explored, can't fix phone.

which USB cable for Original Charger Note 10.1 2014
Hello guys. I own the P605 model for 2 years now and since then the tablet runs smoothly like butter. Now the only problem i encountered is that the delivered USB cable is showing some signs of tearing at the side of the micro-USB pin after becoming suddenly yellowish in color after the last charges. My question is which USB cable should i buy now for the original charger of my note tablet to have the same power supply as before, considering that it has to provide 2A and 5,3V. I hope you can help me out on this task and i m looking fwd to your answers.

Looking for original Hydro Vibe boot animation.
When I booted up my phone for the first time, I fell in love with it's boot screen. It encompassed what the prime objective of the phone was; being water proof. (it was Bugdroid being submurged in water) It looked brilliant. Then Virgin Mobile sent a firmware update to my phone and the boot screen was changed to a ****ty picture of their logo. Does anyone have a high res photo or boot .zip of the animation?

Could someone make an unbrick image for me? Original link for it is down.
Well, I'm sure getting good at killing this thing.
There used to be an unbrick image up on androidfilehost.com, but the user deleted his account and it is no more. Thus, I'm up the creek ...
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23578570567721355
As you can see, all it does is dump the first 200MB of it to a file, so you don't have to download that if you can give me the image. ;) I really don't want to have to ship this thing back and wait.
You can just cut and paste this into a terminal if that's easier:
mkdir -p /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/;
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/Unbrick_Files/200MB.img bs=4096 count=50000;
busybox gzip /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/*;
mv /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/200MB.img.gz /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/Unbrick_IMG.gz;
chmod -R 777 /sdcard/Unbrick_Files
This time I'll put it on my google drive and androidfilehost. ;)
Much appreciated. This thing really should be available for everyone.
