Samsung Wireless Charger (not rapid) Problems

I decided to make a thread on this as I keep seeing people reporting problems with the Samsung branded wireless charger in use with their Note 5 or Galaxy 6+ Edge. I am trying to get an idea of how prevalent this is.

What happens is this, I put the phone on the charger and it lights up showing it is placed appropriately and it charges. It then charges for a time period, and will suddenly stop and the LED blinks blue. This can happen after 1 minute to an hour or so into the charge, to not at all. Often, unplugging the charger and plugging it back in seems to reset it and it works again. Very bizzare. I returned the first charger like this and got a second one, but it does the same thing.

I am wondering if Sammy did this on purpose to get us to buy the rapid wireless charger when it comes out....

Also, I know it is not my Note 5, as my other wireless charger works fine.

Please post your experience with this charger.

360 Xbox controller wireless - Some questions

I've just got a Fire Box & a new 360 Xbox controller wireless with microsoft's official dongle (official microsoft NOT generic)

Could someone walk me through what you pressed & for how long to pair it?

The Fire TV Box doesn't see it when I try to pair it (just continually searches). But it does recognise it partially for navigating menus. It recognises inputs from the left joystick & d pad only, & the A & B button. The right joystick is dead.

Wireless Charging Issues

Has anyone had any issues with wireless charging on the Note 5? I picked up 2 Samsung wireless chargers with the Note and on both chargers the note seems to stop charging after about 15 minutes and never resumes charging unless i pick the phone up and put it back down.

Galaxy S6 Edge+ not charging with Samsung Wireless Charger

So, I picked up my Edge+ from BestBuy yesterday and along with it, I got one Samsung Wireless Charger (the old generation). I unpacked it, connected the cable to the dish shaped charger and put my phone on top of it and voila! It starts charging. But wait, withing minutes, the charging stops and the blue light of the dish charger starts blinking. Disconnected, reconnected, few minutes passed and again it starts blinking (only when phone is on top). Now, I've used all original accessories, I do not have any cases/covers put on. I can't understand why won't it charge. When I googled, I saw similar issues with blinking blue light but nobody had solution. :(
Here, look at this video I created : https://youtu.be/SfiGk6C3Yso

So, did any of you encounter this yet ?

Wireless Charging Message

I am unrooted on KK4.4.4 and don't want to upgrade or root at present. I searched the phone, the forum, the net, and tried everything I can think of. Still can't find the answer. Please help!

I made the mistake of disabling the pop-up box that has to do with wireless charging and battery full/disconnect because it was annoying. Now it has a sound that is one hundred times more annoying. All I want to do is turn the silent box notification back on. Any ideas other than a factory reset? I just got it setup and don't want to redo everything. Thanks in advance.

Fast Wireless Charging Backwards Compatibility

Everything I've read about fast Wireless Charging compatibility was that it was backwards compatible with the plates we have now. But now Samsung is saying we need to buy their option for that. I'm wondering if this is just a money grab of if I could plug a fast charger into my nexus wireless charging pad and get it to fast charge. Has anyone else even wondered this as they've read about this new standard with "backwards compatibility?"

Wireless Charging MediaPad X2

I believe this can be done quite easily and cheaply with a wireless receiver attached to the microusb port and stuck to the rear metal exterior shell of the phone. (My phone is then in a case so it would not be seen) . Then place the X2 on a transmitter pad and we should have wireless charging... No more plugging and unplugging .. Anyone like to comment ? ... Not found a suitable supplier of a receiver yet.

USB Wireless dongle via phone

I have a question about my M9.

I rebuilt my desktop last night and could not find any working wireless dongles in my house. So I was left to download my phone drivers, via my phone, and install them into my desktop so it recognised my phone. After this I enabled USB Tethering to go onto my internet.

The problem I noticed is that the phone was using my mobile data, rather than my Wi-Fi connection, despite being connected to Wi-Fi and enabled.

Is there any way to turn my mobile into a USB wireless dongle and stream it into my Desktop? Seems like smart phones ain't smart enough to just push the best "internet" connection, into my Desktop lmao! I'm a bit of noob when it comes to software coding so I understand it might be a pure limitation on the device which restricts it.

Galaxy Note 5 will support Fast Wireless Charging but is there any issue of heating?

I have little doubt that wireless charging keep the Smartphone bit warmer but that is acceptable! However, for fast wireless charging is there any issue of over-heating?

Wireless charger question.

I am new to the nexus 6 and I have a wireless charger I bought for me G2. It came with a wireless pad and cable. It says to use the charger your phone came with.

Well our Nexus 6's come with the super chargers...

Is it OK to use the wireless charger pad with our power chargers? Or should I purchase a 2 amp (or something different) charger to use with the wireless pad?

Just looking for advice. Thank you.

Wireless Fast Charging on Galaxy S6 Edge

After seeing the coverage of Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, the most impressive feature seems to be fast wireless charging. Can anyone give information whether Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge too support fast wireless charging? Since these are based on same chipset, it does seems logical that there is some sort of support in these phones too. What do you think?

[GUIDE] Root access on Republic Wireless 4.4.4 Kitkat Moto X

I finally found a root method for the moto x on republic wireless running 4.4.4, I used a chinese app called Kingroot(app is in english). It works pretty well, although if it doesn't work for you, reboot. A few times for me it didn't work but rebooting fixed it.

To use it, just open it up, follow what it says and your rooted.
Note, that in order for it to root it needs WiFi or a data connection so it can get a list of root methods.

You can download Kingroot from multiple sources, I can't put in a link though because I am a new member. Just search it up.

Issues with Wireless Charging using Anker PowerPort Qi Wireless Charger

I'm new to the wireless charging world. I recently purchased a Nexus 6 (migrated from a 2013 moto x), and decided to purchase an Anker PowerPort Qi Wireless Charger to try wireless charging.

From what I've read, the sweet spot is bottom 1/2-1/3 of the device, near the "u" in nexus on the back. However, I can't get the device to be detected by the charger. Is there any setting that needs to be enabled or any special trick to make this work?

G3 wireless charging

I've got a D850 with a quickcircle case from a D855 that includes the wireless charging pins - I bought a cheap (really cheap) wireless charger from Amazon and it doesn't work.

I read somewhere that the D850 uses PMA and the D855 uses QI charging if there's any differences?

Are the D850 and D855 THAT different?

Wireless charge?

I have a NeWisdom wireless sticker. It was working fine then all of the sudden it stopped working. I had another sticker so I replaced the sticker. Its still not working. I know the charging pad is working, I have another device that works fine with it.

Any ideas? I tried to hold the sticker to the terminals then the wireless base to it and it doesn't do anything.

Wireless Charging With Metal Plate For Magnetic Mount

Hi.

Just got a new S6 and I thought I would try out the new wireless charging which I think is great. I installed my metal plate however into my phone case to use my magnetic phone mount in my car but the wireless charging no longer works with this small 1” by 1” plate in the back. I’ve tried moving the plate around and can get the charging to work but if any of the plate is in contact with the coil it gets really hot fairly quickly.

I am able to move the metal plate far enough down in my case that it doesn’t interfere at all with the charging or get hot but then my phone isn’t as secure on the mount.

Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions to get these two things to work in harmony?

I’m not interested in buying a new mount that does both. I’d like to keep what I already have.

In the end if I had to pick one or of the other, the magnetic mount would be my pick.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has the same problem.
