Bricked LG G2 D802, some advice ?

Hello guyz,
Unfortunately during a software update the phone just got cold with black screen.

I used all info as instructed and managed to manually flash the partitions like in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2582142

But unfortunately i got stuck after the last step (ubuntu flash), the next thread does not help me with my "softwareless" phone.
Any advice how should i proceed in order to push the cyanogen 12.1 and gappa to the get the phone up and running ?
I currently have TWRP but a lot of features are not working, i guess it's as expected since it was hard wiped.

360 Xbox controller wireless - Some questions

I've just got a Fire Box & a new 360 Xbox controller wireless with microsoft's official dongle (official microsoft NOT generic)

Could someone walk me through what you pressed & for how long to pair it?

The Fire TV Box doesn't see it when I try to pair it (just continually searches). But it does recognise it partially for navigating menus. It recognises inputs from the left joystick & d pad only, & the A & B button. The right joystick is dead.

Some questions about rooting and flashing on the one m9!!

OK guys just a few question's here about the HTC one m9. I've always bought nexus phones since the nexus s. I've been him hawing around about buying a one m9 to scratch my cell phone itch to keep me till the next nexus release. So my questions are, I'll be buying the T-Mobile variant, is it possible to flash the international variant ROMs on the T-Mobile variant? Next, do I have to have s-off to flash custom kernels and Roms? From what I'm gathering I don't think so. I have adb and fastboot already set up on my laptop as I've been flashing ROMs for a long time now. Granite it's way easier on a nexus lol. Thanks in advance:good: oh and one more thing, is the bootloader already unlocked with the T-Mobile variant?

Automatically backup photos (with some privacy)

Hello everybody, i've used Dropbox and Onedrive in the past to backup my photos but i have serious privacy concerns about those services

Is there a good app to automatically backup photos in a safe way?

Can some dev take a look?

Ok, so here is the deal, im not a really good programmer nor i will have time this / next month,but the thing is, LG is officialy releasing a new tablet (G PAD II 10.1, possibly 8.4 too), it comes with a snapdragon 800.Hopefuly it also comes with a 3.10 kernel,if it does, once the source is released it would be good to take a look into it.
PS: if someone can tag the dev who was making the 3.10 for hh but stopped due to TZ firmware errors, please do so, i forgot his nick.

Want to get some feedback on ambient mode

I just got my Urbane and love it but wanted to see who is using ambient mode vs. the watch turning off and what the battery life is like when using ambient mode.

Some questions before buying G3

Hi,
I'm planning to buy LG G3 (32 GB version). It's very cheap right now considering it's specs but I have some questions before buying it.

1- How is general performance and gaming on stock ROM (lollipop or kitkat)?
2- Does it overheat or force the screen brightness to be lowered?
3- How is battery life (screen-on time) with moderate to heavy usage?
4- How is development going? Does it have stable AOSP ROMs without major issues or camera problems?
5- Are there any problems or any thing that I need to know before buying?

I would really appreciate it if some one can help me. Thanks in advance :)

Tried replacing my screen, need some advice

I think I'm out of luck but I figured I'd post here before giving up on it. Cracked my screen, got a replacement, when I was putting it back together I accidentally broke the plastic part that covers the pins that hold the screen cable in place (see the picture). I am guessing I need an entire new motherboard.



I thought it was that clip that released the connector, it clearly wasn't. This off itself wasn't actually an issue, I got the phone all the way back together and working when I realized I didnt use enough tape to hole the screen to the frame and it was coming apart. When I was putting the phone back together I accidentally bent one of the pins on the connector and that was the end of it. I tried carefully bending it back it only made it worse. I was beyond frustrated to have spent about 0 and 20 hours (I originally tried a LOCA glass replacement and cut one of the ribbons while trying to separate the cracked glass) to fix the thing and 1 bent pin turned the entire thing to a paperweight.

Please save your "should have let a professional do it" comments.

[HELP] Some part of the screen is not working

The problem started when i borrowed my friends charger i think it's a galaxy duos? after i plugged the charger into my phone? it didn't charge so i removed it? after that, the lower part screen of my phone is not working anymore? please help. i've already done a full wipe and, downgrade to 4.4.2. from 5.0.1. still the problem persists it's driving me crazy. :(

Some battery test results

Today did some basic tests to see how the batter compared to a Sony Z Ultra.

Be advised this is not a fair test, the ZU is 2 years old. While the device has been properly maintained and not stressed a lot, its still with a two year old battery.

Screen on ( ZU: 45%, X2: 50% ( brighter then ZU to compensate the battery somewhat )), no activity.

ZU: Lost about 11% in 75 minutes.
X2: Lost about 4% in 75 minutes.

At that rate the devices will last:

ZU: 11h15 minutes
X2: 31h10 minutes

Now this matches up with a review i read where they state that the X2 will last 35 hours with screen on.

The double to triple battery life seems to match up with the reviews i read before. Its powering a bigger screen, higher resolution, has more memory ( 3GB vs 2GB ), and still triple the ( 2 year old ) ZU, despite given a extra handicap with a high screen usage.

Some benches:

AnTuTu:

ZU: 39.900
X2: 49.200

About 25% better benchmark performance. Memory had clearly more bandwidth, faster internal flash, CPU score was a bit of a head breaker. Faster on multithread and float ( probably because of the 64 bit ) but slower in the single core ( pure ) integer performance.

Screens:

If both devices are put next to each other, the ZU its color looks more washed ( grayish ) out compared to the X2. The X2's color are more stronger.

So far its a great ZU replacement.

Things i do not like: The screen has a higher output for everything ( everything looks bigger on the screen ) compared to the ZU where they reduced the rendering size for the font/etc, giving more content on the screen.

This needs a fix somehow ( do not know if this can be changed with a setting or needs a custom rom ).

That is it. Not a lot of time right now.

Hello, new here.
I guess i mess up my tab 3 lite. Its stuck at "FIrmware upgrade encountered a problem" screen.

I cant find a USA version of the 4.2.2 stock firmware. I just want to put it back to original firmware and call it done.
I just wanted otg capabilities and a higher version firmware for some of my apps.

Perhaps a link pointing me to such a firmware. All other original 4.2.2 have been for different regions.

This is my 1st tablet.

i have a Galaxy s4 that i have set up perfect. I just wanted this to be the same.

Flashing ROM - some q's

I've never flashed ROMs on a phone with a locked bootloader like the ATT S6 so I wanted to ask if using flashfire will delete anything on my phone? Urgent! Can't send texts to some people.

Its started a while ago actually. I had my SMS set to hangouts and I spam texted the iOS text exploit to two people, like an insurmountable amount of times. After that, I have been unable to send text messages to some people.

LG G3 some photos are not saved (missing photos)

I've noticed that some photos that I clearly remember taking are not saved. It's something that occurs at ~1% of times (subjective figure). Has anyone noticed this behavior?
Phone & setting specs:

• LG G3 (LG-D855), 32 Gb internal memory, Android 5.0 (Kernel 3.4.0)


• Photos are saved to internal memory


• Internal memory is crypted using LG Security settings (Encrypt Phone)


• I use mostly apps that are secure

It's very difficult to document this problem. It happens from time to time (it's not very frequent), but sometimes I lose important pics.

NEED HELP!! My nexus is on some kind of restart loop!!

My nexus suddenly reboot and keep doing the same thing every time, i can put my pin and all but after 1 min of put the pin my phone reboot and do the same thing over and over. I try to flash a new ROM but even after doing that my phone restore my previous ROM and even the files and settings. I try to change the recovery to TWRP and after the restart my recovery change to my old recovery(cwm) i dont know what else to do. I try everything, flash, wipe, unroot,root, restore to factory rom and nothing. PLS I REALLY NEED HELP!! Thank you.
