Switching from sprint to straight talk

Hi I'm looking to unlock my sprint galaxy s4 SPH-L720 to use on straight talk. Would I need the GSM or CDMA activation kit from straight talk?

[Q] 3G > 2G switching issue

Hi everyone, I searched for a solution for my problem for a very long time, but found nothing. HOX has many issues with gsm network or signal, but mine HOX has a very strange issue with network mode switching. For example, I'm on 3G now and I set the WCDMA prefered in *#*#4636#*#* menu. When 3G becomes unavailable, HOX tries to switch to 2G network. But instead of switching to 2G, I get "No Sim card" icon and after ~30 second network icon disappears. I have to reboot the phone to recover the network. I made some tests and found, that this is not the hardware fault. I tried to change the radio RIL to any available and there is no difference. For now I don't know what to do, what else can I do... I will really appreciate any suggestions.;)

Bluetooth not switching on

Hi there

I bought a Moto X 2014 last week, and I have the stock, unrooted 5.1 update (23.16.1).

Today, I had an issue where the phone was not automatically connecting to my car's bluetooth stereo. Tried manually reconnecting to the Moto X through the car's system but it kept saying "unable to connect". I decided to switch the bluetooth on the phone off and back on again - it switched off OK, but when trying to switch it back on, it would move to the "on" position for a second or two and then go back to "off". Tried it a few times but the only thing that got it working again was a reboot.

Just wondering if this is likely to be a one off or a common issue on the handset? I have read about people having issues with skipping audio but this was just bluetooth not working at all.

How to get Software Updates After Switching Carriers?

I just recently switched from AT&T to T-Mobile, opting to continue using my Samsung Galaxy S4 i337 that was unlocked at the end of my contract term. My concern is that due to the Stagefright bug, my device is essentially at risk due to my inability to get OTA updates while on T-Mobile. Is there any way to flash the official update on my device?

so I have a Motorola Moto Maxx XT1225 running 5.0.2 stock (rooted) and I'm currently getting only about 3hs of screen on time.

I really don't know why or when this happened, but I used to get around 6~ average.

The only thing that changed is my carrier (I switched to T-Mobile). But still, I'm always with solid LTE signal / WiFi.

Ideas? Thanks

Switching from verizon

Hey guys im debating on switching from verizon because of there new plans are ridiculous im on m8 right now so I would probably want the m9. Im going to get the unlimited data plan and I was wondering how hard it is to get wifi tethering working I plan on rooting it first thing so are there any roms such as cynagen or google play I could just use. Also I was wondering if its difficult to root right now with the lollipop update.

htc desire 616 stuck in htc logo and not switching on

need assistance with htc desire 616. was playing with the phone and all of a sudden it went off. when i tried to switch it on, it got stuck in htc logo and keeps restarting. i gave it to the dealer and they said they fixed it. however when i got the phone, the same problem started. i tried to flash the rom using sp tool and windroid, i failed as the pc does not connect.

as of today, the phone do not switch on. i can see the light in the screen coming up and goes. if i connect it to a charger or pc the phone is equal to dead.

need your expertise here to get it rectified.

Anyone thinking of switching

28th the LG g4 being 2months old and how empty it seems to be on the forum ,is anyone else thinking of getting the samsung note 5. Being that o got my phone the verizon edge program. H can still return it before 30 days and h could just wait for note 5. Note sure if i should.

Any opinions?

Samsung Galaxy S4 Network Switching "Not Registered On Network"

Hello,

I have Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 and the problem which I am facing is regarding network. The problem is that the network I am using has weak signals inside my house but still there are signals.

Now what my mobile does on weak signals is keep on switching network operators to other carriers and when I try to make a call it says not registered on network although it is showing signals.

I tried to find a solution online which said go to network operators and choose your network manually which did worked but due to low signals sometimes my mobile goes out of coverage and then samsung s4 again changes the settings from manual to automatically and again it switches to another network where Not Registered On Network problem arises.

Do we have any method or app other than manual selection of network operator to lock a operator down or a method which does not allows others networks to be connected because on my LG P-700 when I try to switch networks it says we could not connect that is why there is no issue on that set but my s4 shows signals while it is not registered on any network. Confusing.

So is there a lock or method do let me know.

Switching Between Verizon and Project Fi

I've got a grandfathered Unlimited Data Plan on Verizon (which they can pry from my cold dead hands!) but I also have a T-Mobile SIM I use for my overseas trips (love the free, but slow, 2G roaming!). My Project Fi invite should be arriving in 1-2 weeks, and my plan was to cancel my T-Mobile account and use the Fi SIM for overseas roaming. My question is, if I upgrade the phone to the Project Fi-only LVY48C build, will I be able to switch between my Fi and Verizon SIMs at will, without any loss of functionality? Has anyone on Verizon tried this yet?
