Short review of the Fire Phone (2014, 64GB), rated 9.5/10. Running FireOS 4.6.1 (461013820), USD179 for 32GB, GBP145 for 64GB in eBay
Its one of the best phone I tried. Im a heavy smartphone user. I switched from Treo650 to the Motorola Milestone and now Im currently using the Droid Turbo (64GB) (Android 5.1) with the Nova Launcher Prime. Its very interesting that most reviewers dont like this phone. Its fast and solid, light and metal. I love it too much that I want to replace it with my turbo. (I cant because the phone is bought for another)
It isnt just another Android phone. Its so special. It runs Android apps without the menu and back keys. People love the old stuff but dont know how to change. Just swipe up and you will get it back.
With no doubt its launcher is one of the best launchers. The recent apps are integrated to the desktop with necessary information and settings provided. Its great. Its smooth and its handy. Its smart and simple. Its simple but not that simple as iOS. Its rich but not complicated as the other Android launchers.
The FireOS is highly modified based on the Android. The fonts and the interface are beauty. The setting menu is nice (You can search!). You dont need to worry about using google mail or contacts too. Just a piece of cake. Lack of the Google framework and the Google Playstore should be one of the major disadvantage for some people but that can be solved.
The specification is strong enough to beat all the other phones in its price range. The monitor is weak, only 720p. The weight is very balanced. The CPU is fast and ram is enough. You can check the technical specification very easily. If you want a phone in such size its one of the best choice.
Last but not least, I cant find any annoying minor bugs when Im using this phone. This is extremely important because you can always find that in those cheap phone with great spec.. If you want to buy a great phone with less than USD200. Its your choice.
