As the title suggests, I cannot enter recovery. I press both volume buttons and power button, then I select recovery from the options. But I get an error: No command.

My phone is not rooted. Everything is stock.

Enter recovery mode

1. Shut down phone.
2. Press volume Up and then hold power button
3. choose recovery (volume up choose menu, volume down enter)
4. android logo with red traingle is displayed
5. hold power button and press volume up
You're in recovery mode
(1-3 can be done with "quick boot" app or similar)

Stuck at Firmware Update, can't enter download mode

Noob here, was simply trying to update from 4.4 to Lollipop using the LG PC Suite.

I thought it was supposed to be straightforward but it basically got stuck at the Firmware Update screen, 0% with a "B64" and ROOTED text in red below.

I've been trying to enter the other modes, holding volume + and power but it just keeps on going back to the same screen.

Any help appreciated.

Cracked Screen And I Can't Enter Pin Code - Remote PIN Change??

Hi Guys, today I managed to drop my phone, cracking my screen, and this now means I cannot type in my PIN number to access my phone. Also means I cannot back up all my info before sending the phone for repair/replacement.

I read it is possible to bypass/change the screenlock PIN, however I've not worked out how.

Can anyone assist on this???

Thank you.

Can't enter recovery mode after flashing a ROM

Hi,

Here's my problem:

Device: Sony Xperia Z3 D6653, unlocked.

1. Install a recovery, TWRP or CWM, doesn't matter, using

Code:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

2. Install a ROM (I've tried CM 12.1, latest nightly, or BlissPop) using the recovery.
3. Reboot

It boots into the ROM successfully, but now if I try to reboot and when the LED turns purple, press vol+ button to enter recovery mode, it shows me that little android icon with an error sign on it.

Code:

adb reboot recovery

fails the same way.

Now if I enter fastboot mode and re-flash my recovery image, it will enter recovery image, but won't boot normally, and instead goes into a boot loop, which doesn't even get to the logo of the ROM.

One extra piece of information: when I try to upgrade the CM, OTA, it fails:
1. It tells me my device is D6653, but the ROM is for D6603, D6633, D6643, z3 (I can circumvent it by adding D6653 to a script in the ROM's zip file)
2. Then it complains that it can't open /misc
Not sure if this is related to my problem though.

To me it seams maybe my partitions overlap or something, that flashing ROM/recovery.img damages the other.

Your help is most appreciated.

Bricked, cannot enter Recovery

Hi,

I had the 2.19.40.22_20150627 version, I rooted it and removed some apps like Yahoo from /system/app, it had worked for weeks.

Today there is an OTA update, it tried to install but there was an error, it rebooted and said it couldn't install update. I put back the apps I backuped in /system/app and rebooted, but it does not boot, it never finish booting, it always displays the "asus" logo. I tried to enter Recovery but I always have the Android robot saying "Error".

With fastboot, if I do a "fastboot erase cache" it says:

******** Did you mean to fastboot format this partition?
erasing 'cache'...
FAILED (remote: Permission denied)
finished. total time: 0.171s

What can I do?

H811 (Tmobile G4) stuck in bootloop, can only enter download mode

I can't enter recovery, only download mode. Using the send_command.exe tool, i am able to log in and dig around the file system. looks like my /dev filesystem is completely wiped out:

#df
Filesystem Size Used Free Blksize
/dev 1.37G 8.00K 1.37G 4096
/system 4.05G 3.14G 937.16M 4096
/cache 1.17G 2.04M 1.16G 4096
/data 22.73G 370.52M 22.37G 4096
/persist 27.48M 56.00K 27.43M 4096
#

notice that /dev is only 8.00K large (out of 1.37G). I have backups of all the partitions images on my hard drive and external SD card, trouble is i dont know how to restore those images as only download mode works. Ihave tried to reflash a stock h811 KDZ using the LG Flash Tool 2014, but still stick in bootloop. anyone have any ideas as to how i should proceed from where?

Cannot enter recovery mode

Hey All,

I have recently rooted my Xperia T2 with hopes of entering the wonderful world of customization. However, I cannot enter recovery mode at all. I have exhausted Google looking for a solution prior to registering here. I have tried everything from downloading apps such as Quick Boot to connecting to PC and trying the adb command ''adb reboot recovery'' and ''adb reboot-bootloader'' and of course I have tried the obvious of turning off the phone and then powering back on while holding the power button and volume up key at the same time. Performing that action shows the phone powering on with the Sony screen followed by a black screen where the phone vibrates 3 times and will continue in this loop if I don't release the keys, If I do release them the phone just starts normally. In all cases, that is is what is happening, the phone restarts and boots normally.

I have checked that everything is OK with the rooting that I did via the app Root Checker and and checked bootloader unlocked status via the command ''*#*#7378423#*#*''.

So, there you have it and I just can't understand why I can't enter the recovery mode. My main goal for the moment is to free up some RAM by doing the Link2SD method but without getting into the recovery mode, that seems hopeless.

Hopefully someone here can advise me.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Bootloop and no way to enter in recovery or download mode

Hi guys! Yesterday I decided to unlock the bootloader, flash recovery (twrp 2.8.6) and the cyanogen 11 nightly. Everything went good until I tried to install the gapps, I noticed that the physical shortcut to enter in recovery (after the turning off, of course) didn't worked: the phone restarted or boot up the rom, but I was able to enter in recovery from the advanced restart menu from the rom. Going into the info of the phone where it says kernel there was written "unknown" and no way to overclock. So I decided to reinstall the kernel (the cyanogen11extended) from twrp, everything went good except that I couldn't restart into recovery, it stuck on rebooting until shutdown. So I tought let's use fastboot to erase ad flash the recovery partition and the kernel, but it didn't do anything even if on the cmd said okey and finished in something about a second, but when i tried to enter in recovery I always get stucked on rebooting. So I tought"well if I have the system image I could flash it with fastboot and restore the stock kernel", so I erased the system partition and tried to flash the system.img and I get the message that it is too big for the destination device. Now I don't have a system installed tye hotkeys don't work and I'm stuck on LG screen logo.
There is a solution or do you suggest to send the device in warranty, instead?

Enable Encryption unable to enter pin at reboot

Hi All,

I'm running into a problem with rooted page 4.4.2 release, if I kill deamonsu, with the terminal I able to successfully enter a lock pin and initiate the encryption process. Upon completion and reboot I'm unable to enter the unlock pin and after the 10th time the table is erased.

Any suggestions or ideas on how I can make this work?

Thanks,
Laz.
