[Request] Shake to Clear App Recent List Module (2)

Hi from Turkey. Im using nexus 4 with cyanogen mod rom. But i liked a feature found on phone is "general mobile" sold under the name in my country. "Blue" is global name "general mobile". The name of the feature "shake and clean". This feature with clean recent app list by shaking the phone. Anyone can make this module?

Closing recent apps?

Hi.

Probably a dumb question especially as I should know this after doing a IT course but is closing apps from the recent apps list a badish thing?
WIth windows I'm used to closing apps to free up RAM for other programs but I've recently found out that android doesn't work like this and it's best to keep the apps in the recents list for faster loading etc. While this makes sense and I have obviously noticed that apps will load faster if they're in the recent apps list but does this not have an effect on cpu or battery life?

Just need some clarification as how how android manages it's RAM compared to windows and whether it has a negative effect on performance if you leave apps in the recents list.

Bootloop following contact with water? Or recent update?

Here is my story : end of last wwek, my phone fall in a small amount of water (1cm) on the top (jack side). I wiped it very fast and use it for the next 30 min, everything is good. and then i let it 2 hours (charging or not i don't remember, i don't know if it can matter). After that i find it bootlooping :( was there an update, end of last week? Anyway i let it in that state at least 30 min and even more and then tried to restart it not better. I also tried a wipe cache and after that a factory reset, nothing...

Yersterday back to home, i tried to flash the 5.0.1 factory image ( didn't want to take the 5.1, because i feared a possible bad update on the image maybe) nothing better, even worst because after after some time of bootlooping, i've got the red light flashing :/
Same goes for the 4.4 flash but small miracle, it's working 4.2.2... During all those tries, i did some oem lock and unlock before and after each flash.

So my phone is working with the first version of android available, which is not the best.... I also tried the OTA update to the 4.3 and i also got stuck to a bootloop :(

So after that long story (sorry), I defer to your expertise because i don't know what else to do.

Please help :/

Pro 8.4 Recent Restore Problem

Hey all,

I hope this is the right place to post this in. I recently restored my galaxy tab pro 8.4 using a backup I had with TWRP. However it seems like now whenever I boot it up the whole screen is black and says Unfortunately, *process (literally everything use your imagination)* has stopped.
What can I do to fix this? (Trying to flash stock with odin but it doesn't seem to work and I can't find the stock firmware for it)

Nexus 4 stuck on boot animation - no root, custom roms or recent updates

Hi,
Yesterday my Nexus 4 decided it no longer wants to boot up. It just sits on the boot animation and doesn't progress any further. I don't think I have done anything to cause this - it was working fine the day before and I haven't installed any new updates/apps or really changed anything on it.

It is running android 4.4 with stock recovery etc and no root or bootloader unlock. Unfortunately I need to recover the data stored on the phone because I don't have any recent backups but I can't figure out how to do that. I vaguely remember turning on usb debugging as a precaution many months ago but I can't remember whether I actually left it on or not.

Any suggestions on how to recover the data? I've already looked at quite a few threads on this, but most require an unlocked bootloader which I can't do because that will wipe all the data. I can't use adb pull because the device doesn't get detected. I'm not that experienced with adb, fastboot and command lines so some help would be appreciated.

I have wiped the cache through recovery mode and tried using the "sideload adb" mode in recovery mode and neither worked. I also can no longer get the options to appear in recovery mode for some reason.

(APP) Disable Recent apps button

I created this app for my own use because i feel that i misclick the recent app button quite often while playing some landscape game like vainglory which is quite annoying.

This is a very simple application, it would be straight to use it, click on the disable button to disable the recent app button or click on the restore button to restore it.

Note** after click on either of the 2 button your phone will be reboot immediately, so please save your work before proceed.
Note** This app required root.

Installation guide
1) Download the apk and the rar file.
2) Unrar the rar file and extract the whole folder to the root of your internal memory.
3)Enjoy :)

Not able 2 install the any app from apk after recent 5.1.1

After getting my phone updated few days back...around 238 mb update...there r few problems as listed
1...Parallax not working in wallpapersome
2...Not able 2 install app from backed up apk
3...Sometimes auto restart

My phone is not rooted....
Help me !!!!!

5.1.1 Google Search Bar in Recent Apps

Hi guys, when i updated to 5.1.1 the search bar in the recent apps menu vanished. Did they make it optional, did they remove it or is it a bug? Thank you for your help :)

Working root on recent 5.1.1 update?

I have a Shield tablet (16gb, Wifi) running 5.1.1 (OTA update 3.1, build number LMY48C.35398_567.2193) and stock recovery that I just received from the recall. I previously had a Shield that was on 5.0.2 that was rooted. Is there a method for this version of the tablet that has been successful?

Is there any reason not to install the recent update on a Sprint M8?

So Sprint just recently released an update for the HTC M8, looking it up, it appears to be for fixing the Stagefreight exploit.

I wanted to know if there were any other surprises in this that patch any of the security holes used for apps to gain S-OFF of anything else along the lines?

[MOD] More space for recent apps of Keyboard Launcher

Title says everything - some of Z4T users should notice there is unnecessary image when you are using keybord... and I removed it for more spaces.

[Q] Slim recent app on top of Chroma rom

Hi there,

So I'm really in love with the stability and smoothness of Chroma rom but in the meantime I really do love the Slim Recent Apps mode I've seen on some roms such as CyanideL, Blisspop, SlimRom etc.. So I was wondering if there was some mod that I could flash to add the feature to the Chroma rom or if it is just impossible.

Although I know I could use Xposed, last time I flashed it on Chroma it did really really slow the system so I'm looking for some other solution if there is.

[GUIDE][ROOT] How to get lollipop recent apps panel on ICS + without decompiling

Hey everyone. Im posting an easy guide here on how to change your boring old 2d recents panel into lollipop's brand new 3d recents panel.

Things you need:
1- A rooted phone
2- Xposed framework installed
3- Xposed Additions(module)
4- Xposed Additions Pro(paid add-on) (necessary for the guide)

Step 1
Im pretty sure you have already installed xposed additions and xposed additions pro from playstore(there are less then legal places to download it from)

Step 2
Install Fancy Switcher from Play store and open it. Set it up
In behaviour>smart slider uncheck the enable smart slider
In visual effects>style choose android lollipop
Close the app

Step 3
Open xposed additions. U should already have installed the pro add on
Now go to Buttons>Add new key and press the button that brings out the recents panel. Long press or not press the button and tap ok

Step 4
Now there will be a new option there with the name of the button u pressed. Tap it. Now there will be a new menu.
Tap Add new condition and then tap Screen on. A new option Screen on appears under add new condition, tap it.

Step 5
If the recents panel comes out by a single press of the button, check click under Single Actions and then tap on it

If the recents panel appears by long press then check it and tap on it

Step 6
Now a new menu apears
Deep down below, there's an option of load application list. Tap on it. An application list appears. Choose fancy switcher.
Close xposed additions

Voila
Try bringing out the recents panel

A Quick Review
Install xposed additions and pro add on
Install fancy switcher set it up choose android lollipop from style and uncheck enable smart slider from behaviour>smart slider

Open xposed addition go to buttons>add new key>press the button that brings out recents panel> ok (well take home for example)

Go to home>add new condition> screen on> check and tap on click/long press> poad apppication list > fancy switcher

Done
