How do I unroot my tablet, as well as replace the custom with stock?

Okay, I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 Wifi. I ROOTED it using Kingroot. I did unroot using the kingroot, yet even though RootChecker says it is not rooted, in my settings about phone, it still says custom, and I cant update firmware. So I re rooted it with Kingroot. How do I unroot this, and get the custom to the stock? And, furthermore, can I do this without a PC? Also, I have not done any flashing or custom, just downloaded apps to boost my cpu.

Replace screen, but broke a chip of the camera module. What is it for?

I replaced the cracked screen on my N5 and everything went well. The screen works great. Thing is, when I was moving the rear camera to the new frame, one of the chips on the side of the camera module broke off. The camera works fine, but I am not sure what that chip was for. If you look at this picture, it would be the chip on the left side above the lens.

Any ideas?

Moving to AT&T - Should I replace my N910T with a N910A - Band 29?

I am likely moving to AT&T from T-Mobile. Don't get me wrong, I am a very satisfied T-Mobile customer, but they have oversold their network in my neighborhood. Testing AT&T on a Nexus 6, I an getting 10X the speed, close to 40Mbps down when I may be only 2 or 3 with T-Mobile. So, here is my question: Should I replace my T-Mobile N910T with a N910A? I have read the N910T thread and I am not asking how wonderful the T-Mobile version is. I know. I don't root devices and I am stock on my Note 4. I don't care about unlocked bootloaders. Not important to me. I also understand less bloatware.

But when I test the Nexus 6, I get faster speeds, closer to 50Mbps. I am using Band 29 on the Nexus, Band 4 on my Note. I understand that the N910A supports Band 29. My area is congested. Will I regret in a year or 2 not having Band 29?

Replace power button? PLEASE READ

Hey guys my Nexus 5 is not functioning because the power button has gone bad, I tried all the "smashing" the phone and pressing the power button repeatedly but nothing works, the button inside is broken(not physically broken but just not functioning), i opened up the device and tried to put a little pressure on the button module on the motherboard but didnt help, HOWEVER:

I noticed that the volume up and down module buttons on the motherboard are the same as the power button module (as far as I can tell), my question is, if I take it to someone specialized, could they remove one of the volume modules and solder it in the place of the power button to make my phone at least functional? or are these modules just different and they just look alike?

I live in a country where I can no longer import virtually anything and I can't buy the module replacement even if I wanted to, please help.

ROOT TN7 Wifi 5.1 Lollipop with Kingroot | Replace Kingroot with SuperSU

Root your Tegra Note 7 Wifi without a PC needed | 5.1 Lollipop
Credits by MrWolf

If you was one of those who root their devices by using KingRoot App and would like to remove kinguser and related files, you can replace it with the well known SuperSU. I have made a small script to remove Chinese kingruser, all related files and folders, and install SuperSU. This script will do all the work for you without using PC, just by terminal, first of all, thanks to chainfire for his SuperSU files.

Before starting :
Steps :
  • Send the extracted folder "mrw" to the internal storage of your device and make sure that this folder contains 4 files

  • Open Terminal emulator and type :

Code:

su

  • Allow root permission

  • Type :

Code:

sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh

  • If it ask you to delete Kingroot select delete

  • It might display some error, at the end it will launch supersu or open supersu manually.

  • Update su binary normal, then reboot.

Done !

Notes :
  • The extracted folder must be in /Phone/ or you will need to change cmd.

  • This script must work for all devices waiting tester.

  • You might need to update SuperSu after rebooting your device.

  • Please let me know the model of your device, if it worked for you.

Fix a TMAX/APEX TM9S775 replace factory files

I have this TM9S775 tablet. In fact I have two. I figured out how to root it and I think I have access to its base files. It seems that its factory files might be corrupted (before I started tinkering). It starts crashing, apps stop working. Factory reset seems to have issues. Can I copy factory files from one to the other and then reinstall? Which files in which folders? Its a 4.1.1

thanks

How do I know if I should replace the battery of my htc ville?

I have a htc one S (since 2012) with cyanogenmod and after 13 hours and 1.5 (!) hours of screen time, my phone is done for.
I already have bought a second battery and watched some youtube video on how to replace.
Still I do not know if I really should take the risk. Am i chasing ghosts and shadows or do I have a good chance of improving the power circle of my device?
Some betterbatterystats which seem to be fine (software-side) as far as i can judge:
