Okay, I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 Wifi. I ROOTED it using Kingroot. I did unroot using the kingroot, yet even though RootChecker says it is not rooted, in my settings about phone, it still says custom, and I cant update firmware. So I re rooted it with Kingroot. How do I unroot this, and get the custom to the stock? And, furthermore, can I do this without a PC? Also, I have not done any flashing or custom, just downloaded apps to boost my cpu.

Root and unroot moto xt1064
I have a moto xt1064 and took some pictures yesterday morning. There were a few I didn't want and when I selected a few to delete ALL of them were deleted. The pictures were on internal memory and I've read the only way to access mass storage to undelete and recover the photos is to root the phone. So i want to root the phone but also want to make sure I am able to unroot afterward to receive updates etc. I have not used the phone since the photos were deleted.
I did search before posting and didn't find anything on this particular phone.
Any help would be appreciated! thank you in advance.

Unroot and downgrade LG G2 Mini
I have a LG G2 Mini device that has been rooted. After root procedure I updated it to Lollipop through FOTA and discovered that the update screwed up my whole device. There is a way to cancel the root and downgrade back to version 4.4.2? I have no problem to wipe the device. All I want is to downgrade back to KitKat as fast as possible...
Post Unroot
I just unrooted my S3 to be able to update to the stock 4.4 rom using QBKings method. However, after doing this I went into the stock recovery just to make sure it was there and all and on the screen is a dead android with a red triangle. I did a quick google search but can't find anything about this.
What's causing the dead android symbol? The phone boots fine and other than that symbol the stock recovery seems to work so i don't understand why it's there.
Thanks in advance, I know this is a now outdated device but I still love it and want to figure out what's going on.

I have enjoyed all the fun of hacking things up on my rooted hdx 8.9. Its been fun,
But I am ready to take a dive an go to amazons control. I Cant seem to get many of the amazon features to work, so i am wanting to just factroy wipe/reset and allow amazon to update it and what not.
HOWEVER, I do NOT want to brick the device.
Can someone help me get this devices SAFELY to a point that it can be updated with out bricking.
I have a 14.3.2.5
I updated using the kfhdx toolkit 0.95 from memory it used towelroot as also installed xposed. (i did attempt to re-enable OTA but still says its failing)
I also installed google package ; framework, account manager, services, play store.
I just want to go back the right way so I dont brick. If you wouldnt mind pointing me in the right direction I would really appreciate it

AT&T GS5 Active Crazy unroot?
To start off, I've had my phone rooted since probably around February 2015 or some eary month of 2015. Anyways, I'm on 4.4.4 and haven't upgraded or downgraded but for my whole time of root I've been on 4.4.4. My phone with root was working fine until about 2 days ago. There was a random software update that said was complete maybe 4 days ago when I picked up my phone to check the time but I did not authorize it. It still says im on the same 4.4.4 but now SU opens to a black screen and none of my apps can obtain root access. I assume this issue was caused by the unauthorized software update because all my root apps were working fine until this "update". Anyone else have this problem? What can I do to fix it?

Best way to unroot?
I'm currently rooted, on OF5, Android 5.0.1, and running the latest version of the Noterized ROM.
I want to unroot and go back to stock, then root again without installing a custom ROM.
If possible, I would like to somehow restore all of my current applications and their data (I don't want to restore instagram, twitter, youtube, etc, and have to login to everything again).
What's the best way to go about:
1. Backing up current apps.
2. Going back to stock
3. Restoring applications and their data
Thanks! College begins in... 32 hours!

Galaxy S4 How to unroot?
I rooted my AT&T Galaxy S4 running Android 5.0.1 using kingroot and it worked great. I proceeded to try to install a custom ROM, which failed and I never even overwrote the stock ROM. So I am currently using the stock ROM. I recently got an update from AT&T for the stagefright patch, but every time I try to install the update, it puts the device into a secure boot download screen. I have to reboot the device to get back to Android. I also tried factory reset but it also causes the secure download screen to show up. I want to trade in to upgrade soon and I need to know how to fix this. Thanks!
Latest method to unroot?
Does anyone know what's the latest and simplest method to unroot the device so OTA updates can be downloaded? If odining back to stock firmware can be avoided that'd be great. I'm trying to get rid of some annoying issues on my current build. Thanks.

[6045i]Do FULL unroot before updating or Phone = Brick
Several people have indicated just unchecking superuser and installing the latest 08/10 update is NOT sufficient. They get into boot loops and since the update also restores factory recovery there is currently no way to fix them.
Either do a full unroot and reboot before updating or flash the already updated firmware in the system image thread.
Ironically the Idol 4.7 models DO have a reboot to bootloader in THEIR factory recovery but that doesn't help US at all. Thanks ALCATEL.

Ping Pong rooter -- now to unroot?
I used ping pong to root my phone, and now, I would like to be in a state that would allow me to upgrade to 5.1.1. I've only ever used root to use TI Backup and restore my google authenticator data. I don't believe i de-bloated at all, or done anything drastic to my /system partition.
Any instructions on the easiest/safest way of doing this? Preferably, without breaking knox.

Unable to factory reset after unroot
Hi everyone,
I rooted my Padfone X, unrooted it, and now when I go to try to do a factory reset, it just hangs at the Asus logo after the reboot. If I hold the power button down, it will boot up fine, but all my info is still on the phone along with all the apps from google play.
I also tried holding vol down and power button and it also just hangs there.
I just want it back to the original rom. how would one go about fixing this issue. And I did not make a customer recovery because I did not remove anything from the Padfone x, all I did was root and unroot.
Thanks everyone.
